I have a 2007 Saturn Relay LWB. Our van will occasionally have a weird vibration occur. Usually when I turn slowly left into our driveway, but on occasion it will happen while driving at any speeds and any direction but mostly if I turned slightly left.
View 4 RepliesWhenever I am in a parking lot turning into parking spaces or driving slowly around or even turning into my driveway I have a deep creaking type sound that sounds awful. It's either the suspension going south, something with one of the strut bars or the bigger diameter mid pipe making contact with something when the car is turning. Car is noise free otherwise even over soles bumps, just happens to sound nasty when making turn ins going 2-5 mph.
View 7 RepliesI just replaced my rotors, and tie rod ends on both sides. Now I have a clunking noise when I turn left. I also have erratic steering, the car swerves when I take a slight left, and I have to turn further to the right to get it to swerve back straight. If I hit a bump, car swerves left. Is this an alignment issue? I haven't taken it to get aligned yet, everywhere around here is closed. Could it be the Axle?
View 3 RepliesHere is the problem. When I reversed the car out of the driveway i noticed it would not reverse freely. It felt as though something was blocking the car (as though the handbrake was still on).. When i turn left and right going slowly it feels like the car is jerking and the brake pads are sticking to the rotors.. Its the same when i reverse but I only feel it when im going slowly and the sound gets louder when turning left or right...
I checked all my break pads and rotors.. Im thinking it could be something with the haldex system... Hope not.. My haldex fluid was changed at 80k and im at 88k now..
I bought a 2015 ES350 in August and have a couple of weird noises.
First is what sounds like either door rubber seal on body rubber seal or window on rubber seal noise over certain types of bumps. Is this common? I can live with this until I bring it in for its first service, but it might be a simple fix I can do.
The second is more of a concern. When I'm moving slowly over an angled surface like a driveway that might cause some "twist" of the car, there can be a loud pop sound. Since it does not happen very often, it is very difficult to locate, and I'm sure its one of those things the dealer service department will never hear. When it happened over the weekend, it almost sounded like it was coming from the roof. This morning, it sounded like it might have come from the rear driver side door, but it is hard to tell.

I had a noise/vibration from front of the car when I turn left I thought it could be tracking as I knew it was out I've had the tracking done today and now it also vibrates/noise when driving straight and sounds worse when driving straight and the quickly jolting steering wheel to the left , the best way I can describe is it's almost sounds like when driving over chevrons on the motorway rumbly type noise?
Vehicle has a vibration most prevalent when cold during a left turn especially first thing in the morning. Feels kinda like 4x4 is on, but its not.
Tech test-drove it and tells me it needs "clutch packs".
Has changing clutch packs to address this issue, and did it correct problem?
If I let him change them, am I in danger of screwing anything else up in the process?
& what the fuxa clutch pack anyway?
Vibrates above 45 mph. Did have tires balanced . Still happens.
View 3 RepliesI've got a nasty groan and vibration on the steering wheel coming from my Steering Pump when I turn hard right or left. There seems like a little bit of oil around the pump and some traces of shiny metal (tiny sparkles) near the spline so I'm pretty sure the pump and pulley needs replacing.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2004 Pontiac Montana, and it just started making a low buzzing vibration noise when it's in motion. tone/pitch only changes with vehicle speed, not engine RPM. It becomes noticeable at about 20 MPH. Pitch starts low, gets a bit higher and faster as speed increases. Have looked for anything loose, nothing found. Braking is not a factor in the sound. Tires are good, Engine doesn't seem to be tied to the noise. Nothing noticed on body panels, air dam, etc... I suspect either transmission or possibly U-Joints.
View 3 RepliesSo my left headlight will randomly turn off while I am driving. If i turn off the lights and turn them back on its comes back on. Sometimes I have to do this a few times in order for it to work. What are possible issues that I could be having. Right now I am thinking it could be the ballast or the fuses. If the bulb had gone out it shouldn't be turning on at all right?
View 3 RepliesA while back as I was driving, I heard some sort of clunk, and the steering wheel locked and would not turn left. It then unlocked after a few seconds. Ever since then, it has been very hard to turn to the left (and right, at slow speeds and on sharp turns, but much easier than turning left). This happened a few days after I replaced both front end struts and inner tie rod ends, and got an alignment - they were cheap quick struts (entire assembly), but seem to be of fairly good quality.
Initially after some consultation I thought it was the power steering pump, so I replaced that. It became easier to turn right, but still very hard to turn left. I took the front end off the ground and turned the wheel all the way left and right, no problem or resistance. I am nearly certain it is not the pump.
At this point, I am fairly certain it is either the steering gear or some part of the rack and pinion. I am planning on getting the assembly replaced. The fastest and cheapest way is apparently to just buy the entire steering gear/r&p assembly. Would bad strut mounts ever cause an issue like this? Any other possibilities besides the steering linkage?
My car started making a kinda rubbing noise when I'm driving and turning all the way to the left or right, do I damaged the power steering? I know there was a thread about this but I can't find it,

About a week ago I started getting a popping noise in the left rear suspension when going over speed bumps or up my driveway from the street at certain angles. I could not find any evidence of the springs binding, but did notice that there was some separation of rubber around the plastic center of the rubber mount beneath the spring. This likely the problem or loose sub frame bolts?
View 1 RepliesMy daughter's 02 Honda Accord is making a sound like a phone on vibrate every few minutes as it sits parked in our driveway. Not sure if this is pertinent but the driveway is sloped so the rear is higher than the front. I've search everywhere to try to locate the sound (thinking it was a cell phone left in the car) but it seems to be coming from under the middle to rear of the car. Could it be the gas tank pump going spastic?
View 1 RepliesI have recently noticed a noise... to describe it would be difficult, but I'll give it a shot. There is a pulsing sound, maybe coming from my front left wheel area? It happens when I turn left driving, even on the smallest curve. From what I can tell, the pulsing sound does NOT change speed when I speed up or slow down. My initial thoughts were a bad wheel bearing, but I'm not so sure. Could it be power steering?
My Kia does have 130000 miles on it, and I just purchased it used a year ago, so I'm not exactly sure what maintenance or repair has been done on it.

Motor has a whining when driving then van quits, after a couple minutes can restart and drive.
View 4 RepliesMy wife has complained that the van with on occasion honk when she is driving it. It has never done this one me but I have to admit it is her car so I don't drive it nearly as much. She said it is usually at a stop sign or when she is going through a drive through or something like that. Just one short honk and nothing else. We have no other problems with the van right now believe it or not. It has had some other electrical issues but seems to be doing ok for now. The electric slider door has a mind of it own depending on the day. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I have kinda just gave up on it and let it do it's thing but the honking is embarrassing and I will have to figure out what it causing that.
View 3 RepliesWhen I reverse out of my driveway, my car makes a noise. It only happens when it is in reverse and sounds like something may be rubbing against each other. It's not a high pitched squeaking noise but more so just vibrations and a light rubbing noise.

The two times we have used the A/C, after we push the button to turn it off, the engine sputters like it is going to die ... sounds like it is not getting enough gas. It has over 178,000 miles on it and it sat for about three years before it was given to us.
View 13 RepliesI am planning to take my 99 Passat into the dealership to have it looked into but I thought I'd come prepared with a little bit of insight into what could be causing this problem.
The left tire vibrates terribly when making a slight left turn. When making a hard left, the vibration goes away, when driving straight, there is no vibration. There is also no vibration when making a right hand turn at all. Could it be as easy as a bad tire or faulty balancing? It seems odd that it only makes the vibration when making the turn slightly and then goes away when turning completely left.
What could be causing the vibration? I've searched the forums but have not found an answer based on the vibration only occurring during part of the turn.
