What gives? Tire pressure light on but the system is disabled

View 10 RepliesMy tire pressure light has come on - it did once before about 8 months ago. All tire (not flatruns) pressures seem fine (between 34-38 not cold). Tires were rotated by dealer not too long ago. Do I need to reset the pressure light - understand it is somewhere under driver side dash? Previously I think I added air and light went off. But this time tires don't need air.
View 14 RepliesOur tire pressure monitor light came on recently. I checked the tire pressures, topped off all four and reset the TPMS button, but no luck. The light blinks, but then stays on. I'm thinking I've got one of two problems. Either the spare has low pressure or the batteries are used up in the sensors. The car is an early 2009. Seven full years seems kind of early for the batteries to be finished in the TPMS units.

We got rid of our run flats and bought new tires recommended here. We have a 2003 SC430 and the tires say max pressure 51lbs... It's been a while for us so we are not sure what level to fill them at. Do we do the recommended max? Or is there a better option? We used to live in New England and we now reside in Atlanta so we didn't know if the climate difference would be a factor.
View 8 RepliesMy 2002 SC430 is driven 2 -3 times week and has 30K on it. January '08 I replaced run-flats with high-end non-RF Michelins sugg'd here. Ever since, tires have lost pressure. So far, I was told front pass. rim (orig. factory chrome) had a crack, that was fixed, but tire still loses pressure. Rear Driver's tire supposedly punctured at 2 weeks & replaced..but still loses pressure. All tires & wheels were checked & rotated, now 2 still leak in new positions.
According to Dealership & Tire place familiar with SC430's, my Valve stems and sensors are fine (TPMS works fine), tires are good, rims aren't cracked, but tires go soft. Yesterday a Tire place that does only Lexus & Toyota just told me "invisible corrosion" on rims makes moisture collect where tires seal to rims and this causes slow leak!?
I just got my car back from a body shop, after they fixed all the rock chips on the front. Now I realize the seat position memory is not working for both the driving and passenger seats. Not only the button does not move the seats, but I can't set the new positions into the memory either.
View 2 RepliesSuddenly got the "check tire pressure system" error (not the tire pressure one) so I tried the only procedure I could find, turning ignition on and holding reset tpms button below steering colum. Got the tpms resetting message but the previous message came back. How can I fix that issue? Never had that before.

View 3 RepliesI recently purchased a 2004 v8 phaeton. The tire pressure system light was on when I purchased the vechicle and the dealer reset it and told me it was learning. The day after I purchsed I drove it from Florida to Maine where I live and the light continued to come on upon every start. Once back in Maine I took it to my local dealer and they replaced the system. Now, a few weeks later it comes back on intermittedly. Might it have something to do with bad roads?
View 5 RepliesI blew my driver front out about 2 weeks and got a new tire the same day and the whole 9 yards. After changing the tire I would of thought the light would go off, but no its still on.
View 8 Replies2013 RX 350. Page 774 of the owner's manual makes it sound like it is: "Your Lexus is equipped with a tire pressure warning system ...", but I do not see any reset switch anywhere on the lower right of the dash (page 21 of the manual). Normally the manual uses asterisks to denote options that may not be on a particular vehicle.
View 5 RepliesIf changing the rims on my '14 IS will affect the TPMS function? If so, am I able to transfer this on to my new set of rims? Also, is there a TPMS reset switch in the car?
View 3 RepliesAs the title says, I can't get the light to go off. I followed the procedure to reset it but after it blinks three times, the light is still on. I've also read that I need to take the car above speeds of 19mph and/or an hour, for light to disappear but still nothing. Although I didn't drive it more than an hour since my commute is short. I've made sure that the pressure is around 30psi on all four tires.
View 4 RepliesSo, I seem to have horrible luck with valets. One curbed my wheel a couple weeks ago. The TPMS light came on and all tires were equally underinflated... I thought it was due to a recent cold snap. Well, once I got around to inflating, I noticed the curbed wheel and the sidewall bulging tire. Nonetheless, i tried to reset my TPMS light and there is no button in the glove box. I have a thing that should house a button, but there is nothing behind it. Is this usual?
View 4 RepliesThe tire pressure monitoring system warning light has stayed on even after I've filled the tires with the proper amount of air. Does this warning light have to be reset somehow?
View 3 RepliesI just bought a 2008 Highlander. I'm thrilled with the quality of the vehicle so far. This model has a tire pressure monitor system which I can't seem to reset. I've set the pressure in all tires at 34psi and 44 for the spare, and the indicator light will not go out. I press the reset button and the indicator light never blinks to indicate that a reset is in progress.
View 29 RepliesI want to disconnect a wire to turn off the tire warning light. I've heard several wire options behind the glove compartment but it's confusing. Any easier clearer answer as to which wire is the right one?
