I was just wondering if it is possible to connect iphone to the Nav screen in a 2002 sc430. Can the VaisTech do this?

View 5 RepliesOccasionally when I start my car my phone won't connect and the only way to get a connection is to restart the car. Trying to connect through the system doesn't work.
Sometimes I have to restart the car several times to get a connection.
The phone is an iPhone 6.
I have a 2007 GS 350. A week ago, I deleted my iPhone from the memory in my Lexus. I tried to add it again, but I am unable to do so. After I click 'Register' on the screen (car), I then click the 'Device' which says 'Not Paired' until I push the device on the phone. As soon as I select the device, the vehicle screen disconnects the setup process.
View 14 RepliesWorking on my car after getting it back from bad mechanic. The jerk didn't correctly reconnect the AC lines and now it's not holding pressure. The leak is right on the firewall, with one big and one small line. When I disconnect the lines I tried to reconnect using an o-ring gasket but it's still not holding pressure. Probably need OE o-rings, but I did this last summer and got it to hold pressure fine.
View 11 RepliesI have a new 2015 Es 350 (Great car!!). I have paired an iPhone 5s to the Nav system but have not been able to receive e-mails or Text messages on my screen. I have followed the directions but so far nothing transfers. The other iPhone features appear to be working fine. I have activated "send Notifications."
View 5 RepliesiPhone 6s or 6s Plus and get text messages to show on the big screen? I was fine when I had an Android but work switched me to an iPhone and now it doesn't work. I have show notifications enabled.

View 3 RepliesI bought a fully loaded 2004 Prius last summer with Navigation and bells and whistles. (I love it - even with 110,000 miles!) At the time I had a 3G Iphone (AT&T) and the bluetooth worked for phoning and the cord that came out of the compartment under the stereo worked for me to plug in my phone and play music. Of course there was no music display and I had to get the music going first and I couldn't view it at all while it was plugged in. (Meaning if I wanted to see the song or change to a new playlist I had to unplug it.) But nonetheless I was STOKED to have my iphone music playing. It also charged my phone.
A few months I upgraded to an Iphone 4S, and now when I plug my phone in I can't play ANY music!! (Bluetooth for phone works fine.)
Questions:
1. So I always assumed the cord came with the Prius although I guess the first owner could have put it in? Do that model came with one?
2. Most importantly: How can I play music from my 4S phone the simplest easiest way.....
I've got the stock stereo (CD and radio) and am wondering about options to connect my iPhone. Do I need a new stereo, or is there some way to add either a stereo mini input or iPhone cable input?
View 1 RepliesMy iPhone 5 links with my Prius via Bluetooth to make calls and to play music stored on the phone, but it fails every time I try the Connect To Internet option. I have entune on my iPhone. I've registered at the entune site.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2012 elantra limited with navigation package. My iPhone 4 will only connect and stream pandora for exactly 15 seconds then it will stop streaming to the car. The phone is not plugged in and I am just trying to get the Bluetooth to work properly. It connects and disconnects constantly. I have reset my phone but it will only stream for that short period of time. Is there a setting I need to do?
View 1 RepliesHave a question concerning the nav screens lighting/dimming. If I'm correct, doesn't the nav screen appear dark with highlighted details, at nighttime & during the daylight, the screen is bright (white) with dark detail? The other night I got into the car & turned on the nav system. It appeared normal (dark screen), but suddenly switched to the light screen. I thought it may have something to do with the dimmer switch, but i turned it on/off with no change. Is there something that I may be forgetting to try or could it be the sensor that lets it know whether it's night or day? Also, is that the sensor located on the dash (passenger side)?
View 3 RepliesDiagnosing different minor problems with my sc430. Tthe lastest one is that my navigation screen will not tilt back so the cover will go over it. It seems like its tilted forward all the way. The screen still works and all. But the tilt button does nothing and its too far out for me to get the wood grain cover to go over it. Is this a common issue? and whats the remedy?
View 10 RepliesLooking for info about taking the info/control screen apart. I have a very small amount of moisture that only shows under certain light conditions.
View 7 RepliesUnfortunately my car Heater A/C Control Panel LCD is broken, I mean only the screen. I accidentally hit the screen while I was pulling my guitar from the back seat .It shows many black lines that are almost covering the whole LCD!! everything is working fine except nothing can be seen on the screen.
I was told that I must buy the whole panel and it is really costly. I thought maybe I can replace only the screen? Is it possible? Or can I get any other car LCD and fix it into this panel??
Yesterday I noticed my nav screen stopped responding but partially. It'll let me press buttons on left side but not right side. Unfortunately the "I agree" is on right side so I can't even get passed that screen. I don't use the nav but I'd rather have the map showing then "Caution...."
View 2 RepliesI took my SC430 to the Lexus dealership to get my passenger side air bag replaced due to the recall. I decided to have them work on my car by getting the oil changed, replacing a dead foglight bulb and checking on my navigation system.
I told my consultant that the nav will not work after I press the "agree" button on the screen and it just freezes. Later on, tells me that there's something wrong with the ECU chip and.
Just bought a '02 Sc430. The navigation screen pops up but is unresponsive to touch input. I tried to search for a thread with this issue but couldn't find one.
View 2 RepliesI just got an 02 SC430 and I am going through a few things. The Nav screen works fine but is frozen in the rear tilt position. I would be okay if it were frozen all the way forward???
View 1 RepliesI own a 03 sc430. I want to be able to play music and view videos on my nav screen using my stock unit. I've been online for days and even talked to vais tech, they had a unit but i cannot view or control my music or videos with it. What I can use?
View 2 RepliesA couple of weeks back out of the blue my Nav screen stopped tilting back and of course if it doesn't tilt back the door won't close. I did the Lexus Diagnosis on the Tilt and Close Switches and it turns out to be something in the 'Nav' unit. Of course Lexus doesn't sell parts for the Nav unit... just the whole thing.
Since that time I have spent way too much time on diagnosing it and I actually tried another used unit that has the same problem as mine. What I think that I have figured out is that the motors are ok but the control unit, a small circuit board within the nav unit has failed. The problem is that this unit has 2-3 IC chips on it and any way to repair this circuit board.
Any luck repairing these circuit board or am I stuck.... The I was able to retract the unit into the dash and the door opens and closes but it would be nice if it tilted as they had intended...
