The back light on my wife's Nav and climate and radio do not work at night when the lights are on. During the day they work and at night if the lights are off they work. Did a search and could not find similar problems.
View 14 RepliesThe outside temperature has been cold since the purchase of my 07 SC almost 2 weeks ago (below freezing F ). The A/C green light has not been lit. My 05 SC, the light was on all the time. Dealer says the system will turn the A/C off in certain circumstances in very cold conditions.
View 12 RepliesSo warming up around here and and my fiance brings to my attention that the AC is not working in her GS. I fumbled around a bit and found that the fuse in engine compartment is good, ac light does illuminate in climate display, freon is at approx 80psi on low side, and the air does in fact never get the least bit cool. It seems as though the compressor never turns on, now I know that these cars wont kick on if they sense low pressure in the system but it is full.... also swapped ac relay out to no avail

Not a bunch but I fear that it is just a matter of time before they all go away.
I assume, not being a LCD engineer, that there really isn't much that can be done to fix my existing LCD but I thought I would ask the group hoping for a resolution other than replacing the LCD.
I know this is a weird post but I am looking for a climate control head unit that does not work. I need the silver covering plate that is part # 55901-24030 that is not damaged.

View 9 RepliesI have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
I had bought an updated disk for my navigation system for my 2003 SC430. After putting it in my navigation system the display shows updating then kept looping for over 25 min. While reverting to the old disk the nav. displayed requested that I insert the updated disk--I did but the looping continues.
View 14 RepliesWell I cracked the clear plastic lens on the AC control unil while removing it to replace the factory radio. Where I can just get the minimal parts to fix this? Seems all I can find online thus far is only replacement of basically the whole control unit.
View 7 RepliesAny way to keep the nav page displayed when on a phone call? I have a 2008 SC 430 with the latest software update. Every time a call comes in, or out, I lose the nav display the duration of the call. makes it hard to navigate while trying to conduct business.
View 4 RepliesI just purchase a 2002 SC430 with only two (minor) issues. First: the radio display does not work. Everything else is fine. The CD changer works, the radio works, the steering column controls work. The display is blank. Lexus solution is 650$ for a new radio. Seems like there should be a simpler fix.
Second, the panel covering the display does not come down. I can pull it down, and it will go back up with the push of the button. But it will not go back down. Again Lexus fix is 700$. I guess I can keep pulling it down for that price, but how was it resolved.
Just took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.
In my C3's navigation system there's the option to set the map display to day or night mode. I have it set to automatic but it doesn't seem to ever switch to night mode on its own. How is night mode triggered?

View 2 RepliesMy battery in my 97 Bonneville recently died and I had it replaced, but soon after it being replaced, I noticed that my clock and climate control display weren't showing when the car was running. Everything still works, but I don't get the display.
The clock/radio display does show when the ignition is in the Accessory position after being in the On position, but the climate control display never shows.
A friend suggested it could have been something with the TheftLock system needing a code, but that doesn't seem to be the case because the radio still works and I don't ever see the radio display 'LOC'.
Could it be a blown fuse or something? Which fuses do I check?
I have a 2000 Chrysler Concorde LXi. It is having an intermittent climate control display problem. It will be lit for weeks/months, and then without warning, the display will disappear. In the past, a smack of the display would cause it to reappear or a press on the lower left of the panel below the display would make the display reappear. Seems as though there is a loose connection. Fuse ok. How to remove the climate control bezel or get to the connections?
View 1 RepliesI recently purchased an '09 Prius. When driving, the MFD shows the trip info/MPG stats. If I want it to show audio or climate, I can press the button the dash and that info will be displayed. However, shortly thereafter (10-15 seconds maybe? maybe less?), the screen reverts to showing trip info/MPG stats.
I'd like to have my display remain on whatever I select - be in audio, climate, or trip info. How to make this happen?
I just bought a 2007 and my Multi Information Display does not work properly on the climate control screen or information screen. ie when you press temp up or down buttons it sometimes works and when you want to change the fan speed and press medium it goes to low. On the information screen no matter what you select it goes to Trip information screen. However the Audio screen works perfectly.
View 3 RepliesWas driving the last week and happened to look down and notice the display for my climate controls was completely black. They were still running at whatever I had them last set at but couldn't change anything or turn the system off. Pulled into a parking lot, turned the truck off then started it again and everything was working fine.
Couple days later, was driving down the road again, glanced down and now my climate display, stereo display and odometer display were all black but once again everything was still functioning, just couldn't change anything. Turned my wipers on to check those, heard a little click, and all the displays popped back on like normal???? Wipers worked just fine too.
I'm assuming a short somewhere but wouldn't even know where to start to look or if it's even within my limited skill set to try and track down.
