Lexus SC430 :: Finding Rims With More Offset Instead Of Spacer?
Sep 21, 2014
I really like the look of cars with 25mm/35mm spacers with stock wheels and tires. But instead of using spacers, are there wheels with proper offsets to achieve the same result?

I have a 1992 Ford F-250 custom 2WD. My stepfather in law gave me rims from a 02 Ford F-250 for my truck. But I know the lug pattern is different so I will be wanting to put some adapter/spacers for those rims. But I need to know the offset of the rims I have now to make sure I'll still have a turning clearance if I was to get the adapters/spacers.

I am wondering where I might find the approximate rpms for being in 5th and 6th at 70 miles and hour. I am wondering if it is shifting into 6th as the mileage is significantly lower than the AVG shown in the display.

The ES350 2013 owner's manual says you need to reset the tire pressure switch when rotating/changing tires. The picture in the ES 2013 owners manual (P696) shows the reset switch near the lower left side of the steering wheel. Well you really have to look as it it under the dash next to the computer connector the tech's use to trouble the car. You really have to get down and look under the dash to find the switch.

I have got 22 inch rims and whenever someone sits in the back, it's always rubbing. What can I do to prevent that. Someone recommended me spacers.

I purchased a used 2003 Echo last week. The all season tires are on 15 inch rims. I would like to buy snow tires for this car. The question is - snow tires on 15 in rims or snow tires on 14 in rims? I understand that 15 inch rims was an option selected on the original purchase. Without this option, the car would have had 14 inch rims.

If changing the rims on my '14 IS will affect the TPMS function? If so, am I able to transfer this on to my new set of rims? Also, is there a TPMS reset switch in the car?

Recently had some bad luck and need to get new rims - what's the proper offset for the R? OEM offset is et50 correct? I'm thinking of getting a set of either BBS CHs or RS4s but want to know what the best offset is for the rim.

I have never put spacers on any of my cars so when I did to my R a while ago it was kind of a new thing for me. At first from what I heard it seemed to be a performance mod but then I started to perceive that it was for looks and that if you were performance oriented you would not run spacers, or at least on the R? A bit confused. Anyway I have rear adjustable control arms to put on now and I figure to correct the extreme negative camber (with the aftermarket lowered suspension) I would need to run a smaller spacer or I would have major rubbing issues.
When I first bought the spacers I bought 15mm H&R spacers for the rear and 8mm for the front. I never put the front on since i realized it would probably rub a lot. So now i am thinking of putting the 8mms in the back. (15mm spacers would go on sale btw, SF bay area if your interested). Rather put 10s but already have the 8s. Also, i am going to go find right sized polished bolts, since thats what I originally had but had to switch to unpolished longer bolts (which was what came with my spacers order). Also, I've noticed different driving characteristics with the 15mm spacers on. Taking a sharp turn hard, if i let off the gas, I will fishtail a little bit (as much a fishtail possible for an awd car)...i am attributing this to the spacers as i believe this was not happening before i had them on. Maybe the 22mm sway bar too? Its fun, but i can tell it is not the optimum set up for performance.

I have a 2004 f150 heritage Super Cab Xlt with the 4.6. It has a fabtech 6' suspension lift on it. And 315/75/16 BFG A/T KO tires. I replaced inner and outer tire rod ends. Steering Box and idler arm. Replaced rotors and brake calipers on the front and brakes. Replaced rear rotors and rear brake calipers.
Now to the point. Lets say the road steers to the left. I have to steer the wheel to the right ad left in order to stay within means of the lane and stay straight. If I am driving on a straight road I always have to have my steering wheel held to the right in order to stay straight. So lets say the road starts turning left. I have to keep the steering wheel held to the right then slightly left.
But I can't just steer the wheel left or right. It seems that it has to be a special way of steering the truck. I have had tires rebalanced and many shops have said the truck is within alignment specs. It always seems that the steering wheel has to have a offset. Could something else be wrong with the truck ? frame ? u-joints ? Steering wheel column ?
