I installed led bulbs for the parking lights and the vsc/vsc off lights came on, also when i tap the brakes it beeps and the abs and brake light comes on for a few seconds.

Im currently installing a remote starter on my 07 camry and it wants me to tie into the "parking light" fuse or wire. It is a Bulldog system, on the website it describes it as "Black (-) wire" located at "BodyECU in vehicle fuse box 26 pin plug pin 23" The fuse box cover does not identify fuses by number and i do not see anything that looks to be parking light related.
View 1 RepliesI have a sulfur smell in my 05 since new, it now has 23k and is a little better now. The dealer said to switch gas stations. I haven't noticed this. I notice it going up hill with the top down sometimes but mainly after parking it in the garage. The dealer said it would not hurt the car. I worried that it is running too rich and damaging the coverter, plus it is annoying. I love the car but it sure isn't perfect.
View 11 RepliesMy Lexus SC430 parking sensor alarm sounds intermittently while I am driving. (No, I do not tailgate the car in front.)
It has happened several times, all but once when it was raining. On that one occasion, the sun was shining. It happened again today while it was raining, and continued to sound after the rain had stopped, but the road was still wet.
What could be causing this to happen, and how can it be prevented. I have decided to fit an ON-OFF switch, if the problem cannot be solved conventionally.
I bought a new auxiliary battery online and installed it. I reset the driver's side power window. But my CD changer now beeps four times, all the lights turn green and orange, and I cannot play a CD from the changer or eject any of the discs. Both discs currently stuck in it are store bought Third Eye Blind CDs with no stickers, labels, etc.
I'm assuming that the CD player needs to be reset. Someone in another thread mentioned unplugging the battery for 20 seconds, while someone else said I need to enter a code that I can get from the dealer. I can go without the changer but the beeping is maddening.
When I look into the brakes on the two rear tires, I see a good bit of rust on the discs. Should I be concerned?
View 2 RepliesI am not sure if it is the same time every night like clock-work or if it's a set interval after I come home...but here is what happens:
-I come home and I turn off the power to my 2010 Prius after parking.
-I lock the car and I get that loud external "Beep"
-Around 2 to 3 hours later, I hear 4 to 5 beeps in a row from the horn. It sounds just like the beeps that are made when I unlock the car. Just a bunch of them in a row..for no reason
It is really loud and ticking off my neighbors. What would cause this? I have a dealer installed Rockledge security system.
Ok so i get off work and i go to my car, its around 6ish and its reading 36 degrees fahrenheit. On start up the car beeps and the parking brake wont disengage...tried pressing the button a couple times but nothing. So i turn it off and start it again...nothing. Then finally turn it off, let it sit till all the interior lights come off. Turn it on and lo and behold it works! At an ambient air temp of 36 degrees, is it possible that rotors and pads are frozen? Also could it be that the cold temperature is freezing the brake lines? Also the car was parked so that the wind was perpendicular to the brakes. So like a T with the long part being the wind!

View 14 RepliesAbout 2 months ago my Touareg was rear-ended. I just got it back from the body shop and am finding little things that are not the same and I am wondering if they just need reprogramming or if these could be a bigger issue (going back to the body shop today)?
1. They replaced the entire liftgate, but the rear wiper is not working even though the washer fluid does.
2. The interior lights are on, even though all doors are shut, when the switch is set to the open door setting.
3. There is no beep when I lock my vehicle with the keyfob, but the lights blink.
4. There are no warning beeps for the parking sensors, even though the dash lights up.
Started out with Xenon depot 4300K kit for my low beams and loved them so much I went ahead and bought another 4300K H-3 kit for my fog-lights. I also bought some 5K bulbs to compare to see if there were any differences--to my surprise there is not alot of difference in light color between the 2 K-ratings that I can see--further driving in the dark and I may notice a difference?

First this kit came with the Slim line ballast and they are half the thickness of my other ballast I have for my Lows-- Looking under the front bumper you will see one 10mmm screw--undo that and the light will come out of the front bumper You will see there are two wires from the hid bulb and the Grey wire that connects to the twist type door--you have to connect the WHITE (hot) wire to the Grey wire in some fashion as you see I soldered them together which I feel is the best way.
You have to cut a slit in the fog-light housing side to channel the wires through so the door will close and seal--just goop it up with some sealant and your good to go after you have ran the wires.
The Wiring part is simple as its all plug and play--connect 2 grounds and 2 wires to the hot side of the battery and BAM you have light--Simple! And best of all it works perfect--now I don't have those nasty dingy yellow Fog-lights and they match my Low beams perfect.
I recently got a 07" with 80k miles but no navigation. I got pioneer stereo with a backup camera and now my airbag light is on and the installer telling me that I just need a obdII scanner to clear the code and I am all set.
View 3 RepliesThe car does not come with towing package. Bought and installed 3 relays; 2 under the hood, one in the back. I connected hard wired TOW READY 20137 to the trucks' wiring system, checked voltage, nothing. Checked relays under the hood and and the back by the rear light, I could hear the clicking from them. Do I need to connect under dash brake controller too in order the wiring to active the wiring system ? Why this is happening

My stock DRL/high beam lights officially died this weekend on my 06+ SC430. One side works fine, the other only works in high beam. Since I have to get my car inspected, this won't pass. I know I need to drop the bumper as I did when I replaced the turn signal bulbs, but I'm confused about what bulbs I should be getting. Since I have to drop the bumper for the DRL lights, I figured I should change the fog lights since I'm there.
Is there an LED Fog light replacement you'd recommend from iJDMToy?
What bulb would you put in for the DRL? I do not want to go LED as I actually do use my brights. I would like a whiter color to better match the headlights, if this is possible.
So I went on a little trip about 500 km away.. when i got there everything was normal.. next day while hanging with my buddies my Engine light, VSC and VSC OFF light came on.. I wasn't pushing the car or anything, driving normal and going around 120 to 135 kph on hwy there. Usually people would panic but in the past I have had cars that got these lights and usually its just a sensor.
I mean the car drives perfectly normal, i have driven it 900 km after the light, the temperature doesn't rise, there is no leaks anywhere, there is no smell, engine oil is all there, everything seems perfectly fine. I read a few threads referring to the oxygen sensor? I am thinking of getting that replaced.. how many are there that I would have to change? Also someone mentioned ABS sensor in another thread.. not sure what that has to do with the engine, i mean ABS has its own light right?
Check brakes light came on at 46000 miles the other day. Not really sure what replacement brake rotors and pads to put on? Should I go with OEM or aftermarket? put on rotors and pads from Hawk? and how do you like them? Are aftermarket better than OEM parts?(longer lasting, less dust, ect..)
