Volume and equalizer controls stopped working on my 2002 this morning. Were functioning when I drove to the tennis club but not working on subsequent start up.
View 7 RepliesSometimes the volume button on the stereo nor the buttons on the steering button do not increase or decrease the volume. I can turn the stereo on and off - still the same. If I turn the engine off and on - this issue goes away. It's only just started happening in the past few weeks.

View 3 RepliesThis week I began experiencing operational problems with the mark levinson stereo and I'm looking for a logical next step to resolve
1). I cannot adjust the volume either from the volume **** or from the steering wheel. I have volume I just cannot adjust it.
2). I cannot eject any of the CDs. I can play them.
3). Tapping the tuner **** should take you into stereo setup where you adjust bass, tremble, fade etc. when I tap it there is no response.
I can tune the radio fine. I can play the CDs fine. It does not appear to be fuse related
I called a car stereo guy who rebuilt my dried out speakers today and he suggested disconnecting the negative battery connection and touching the positive connection and that might reset it. That sounds scary to me and I do not want to harm any other components (or me!) by trying this. Any logical next step to resolving??
I am the original owner and all these symptoms happened at once and started after car sat in garage for a week. It has a new battery installed last year and shows no sign of a weak battery
Strangely, after my battery died and the car was jump-started the volume control on the steering wheel is not working correctly. When I press the volume up switch, the sound actually decreases, and the volume down button does not function. The manual volume control on the radio works fine.
View 14 Repliesi have a 92 eddie bauer star with premium sound system with equalizer. i'm upgrading to an aftermarket system and was told there's a tray that replaces the equalizer and i'm wondering if it's a separate piece from the trim piece that covers the radio, vents etc. ?
View 6 RepliesMy Gen 1 stereo volume doesn't work at all anymore. Everything on the display is normal, the cassette player isn't making weird noises, but no radio or ipod hookup volume whatsoever. I'm worried someone who was testdriving it last week might have been pressing random buttons, but we've tried pressing most of 'em and still no dice. But also, it has been very humid this past week. Is this what happens when speakers die? Anything I should try?
View 8 RepliesWhen I started the gx up today I couldn't get the volume to go up or down, not on the steering wheel. I turned the stereo off and on several times throughout my ride to work but it didn't change. Then when I got to work, turned off the vehicle and turned it back on, it worked. It's like it got glitchy and needed to be reset.
View 4 RepliesMy navigation door quit working, tilt function also, and it's stuck open. The Nav unit works fine. Dealer is telling me thousands to replace it - but I suspect it's like the Mercedes dealer where my SL was missing a $10 clip - and they wanted to replace the dashboard... I'm hoping it can be repaired. It makes a little "ping" sound then I turn the car off, but I don't hear the door motor.

View 2 RepliesThe volume control on my stereo stopped working today. The radio turns on, but the volume controls do not increase/decrease the volume. It is stuck at whatever volume it was at before this problem started. When I turn the volume knob, I see the volume level numbers increasing and decreasing in the upper right corner of the touchscreen, but obviously the volume stays put.

I brought my car back to the dealer last week because my stereo volume keeps dropping for no reason while driving and I have the ASL turned OFF. the dealer said unless they can duplicate the problem there is nothing they can do. I just got the car in july...
View 1 RepliesStrange occurrence the other day that I have not been able to remedy. The volume/power button that can pop in & out on the dashboard hadn't been used of late but when I went to depress it, the button popped out. It is spring loaded and the knob itself has an end that is cut into quarters - persumably to fit into the female end within the JBL stereo unit itself. But can't figure out how to get it to stay in place as it continues to pop back out. Volume & power functions still work but button/knob won't stay in.

View 9 RepliesI have an 2009 3.3L V6 Sonata with just over 50k miles on it. Just under a week ago what seems like about half of the electronics quit working.
Here is a list of all things i could think of checking to see if they work..
Not working: power windows (up and down), power locks (Lock and unlock), trunk release, wipers on mist or intermittent, automatic headlight setting, tail lights.
Working: Sunroof, turn singles, headlights, brights, brake lights, power mirrors, radio, AC, fan, wipers, windshield washer, Gas cap cover release
Given that all the functions of the remote are not working i don't know if that works either.
I have tried checking all the related fuses, checking the relays, disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and have had no success finding an issue. What else to check?
This is for a 2008 NL packaged prius. Bought car used, with one remote.
Anyway, I accidentally pushed the key button and now the sks functions don't work. Car still (un)locks by pushing buttons on key fob. Car still starts by inserting fob into slot.
just bought a 2002 lexus sc430 the car is nice but i have been reading in regards to the throttle lag. Any resolution for this. I've read that the apexi or blitz trottle control is an option to work with the lag.

wheel balance
wheel alignment
2 rims rerolled that were out of round
bushes and suspension all checked
moved wheel positions front to back etc
Thinking now maybe driveshaft or uni joints ? or new tires but that's an expensive exercise !!
