I just got a 2015 RX, loving it so far, I have been able to fiddle around with some settings to get it the way I want like keyless unlock drivers side door to unlock all doors, keeping iPod screen on with auto changing to maps, and track up on Navi.
However I cannot figure out how to get windows to go down but not sunroof when I hold the unlock button? Is there a way?
I've had every lexus model (besides the LFA) and I just purchased another GS 350. Now I know I know....dealership can set the settings for my unlock button to automatically set my windows down and sunroof back. But as we all know going to the dealership for anything is so annoying. That being said.... How to set/program it?
View 6 RepliesI did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?

View 4 RepliesParked my car at work today and around 4:00 a few people stopped by my office to let me know that all of my windows were down in my car. I was like ..that weird. So I went outside and lo and behold all of the windows were down and the sunroof was open. That is odd I though. So I closed them all and no further problems.
Did I perhaps sit on my FOB and press the buttons a certain way that made all of the window go down?? My office is 2 doors down from the outside of the building where my car is parked, so the signal from the FOB would have to have traveled pretty far?
Other than that, my car has 73K miles and has been flawless!!
A couple weeks ago I went home sick from work, doped up on medication. We ran through the drive through for dinner, and it was really cold out. Woke up in the morning to find ALL my windows down and the sunroof open.......and it snowed about 1/4 inch. My wife went with me and she was sober, and swears that all the windows were up when we went in the house. Now, I am at work and had a customer come in and tell me that my windows were down, and the sunroof was open half way. This time I KNOW FOR A FACT that they were up and the sunroof was closed when I parked it.

The problem is when i use the remote starter and then go to get in the car after it warms up the unlock button on the key will not work. i have to unlock the car manually by putting the key in the door. This only happens when use the remote starter. The unlock button on the key works no problem otherwise.

View 6 RepliesThe other day I got out of the car and forgot to close the windows. So I tried to hold the key fob LOCK button to close them. Nothing. Yet holding the UNLOCK will OPEN them? Now how often will someone want to OPEN windows with the FOB versus close? Put another way, I am assuming that there IS a definitive way to use the FOB to CLOSE the windows/roof but I can't figure it out.
As an aside, I guess I a bit "slow". I JUST figured out, after almost 2 years of ownership, that the CD player will read MP3 files...hundreds on 1 disc versus about 20 song on an old style CD.
I have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 and I have had the car for almost two years now. I have noticed that when I use my keyless entry button to unlock and lock the car, its not as loud as it was in the past. My key fobs all have new batteries in them (2 kays for the car). Could this mean that I need a battery soon? When I first got the car, the "beep beep" noise from when you lock and unlock the car was louder, now you can barely hear it.

View 4 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

View 2 RepliesCurrently my wife owns the 2011 RX350 and we are having issues with our sunroof making loud mechnical noise when tilting up and down We have already address the issue with our local Lexus dealer and all they did was lubricate the sunroof and after a month or so the noise comes back We have tried to address the issue again with them mutilple times and all they can say that it happens to all the RX350
View 4 RepliesI parked my BMW X3 in my driveway yesterday and then went inside. I live in Oregon and it's been cold and raining for the last several weeks. When my wife and I went to get in the car about an hour later, we discovered that the sun roof and all four windows were wide open and the interior was soaking wet. I certainly didn't open the windows and sun roof. I've probably opened the sun roof once in the three years we've owned the car, and, with all the cold and rain the last several weeks, I've had no reason to open any of the windows. While the car was left unlocked, I did not leave my keys in the car and we live on a fairly private cul-de-sac. I'm baffled as to how this could happen and I can't even come up with a theory.
View 3 RepliesNow and then when I open the sunroof it sticks and wont open... then I close it and try again and it opens but it makes a pop noise as if something sticking.... happens now and then. I am thinking some grease or oil somewhere is needed?
View 2 RepliesThis is a first, for any vehicle I've owned. When my wife went out to the car Sunday AM she found all of the windows on our 2010 RX350 down and the moon roof open. The doors were locked from the night before, and I know for certain all of the windows/moon roof were closed. The only thing I can think of is we are in a flight path for the GSP airport. Our garage door used to go up, from time to time, when planes would fly over.
One other thing I forgot to mention. I replaced the batteries on both of our key fobs Saturday. I hit the lock button to make sure the fob worked, but that was all I did. You can't do anything with the windows or moon roof with the key fob. But what else could trigger them to go down? We've had the car about 6 months.
I've been having rattling noise problem on my 2010 RX350 for months now. It comes from the passenger side corner of the sunroof. It sounds like metal hitting glass. I took it to the dealer twice already but the problem is that each time the noise stops. I even drove with a technician in the car to replicate the noise but each time no sound, nothing.

View 22 RepliesWhen you use the key to lock the car door, you should be able to hold the key in the lock position on the driver's door and the car will close the windows and sunroof, right?
For some reason, this is not working on my car. The alarm sets and that's it..
My key died today so I had to pull out my spare. Isn't there a way to make the key control the windows and sunroof with the key? I'm only finding info on how you can make it unlock the drivers door or all. I have a 2010 SEL 4Motion.
