I remember when I was turning on my AC, outside air was closed and when I was turning it off it was switching to recirculated air mode. Now its not functioning like that.

I think i am hearing it from the left front or rear side. Is this from lowering the car or something wrong with it?
I have a 2013 Non-F Sport Model with Navigation and was wondering if there was a secret on HOW To TURN OFF the Navigation? Not the whole screen, just the Navigation part. I see how to turn off the screen but I want to just see my Radio/SAT menu on the screen as I do not use Navigation that often. Right now Navigation is always on and takes up 3/4 of the screen!
also... is is safe to drive in any of the 3 modes (eco, normal, sport) ALL the time in all conditions ? As in using Eco for driving all the time (city and highway), or is one better than the other for certain conditions.
Eco/Normal/Sport S/S+ Mode... the literature doesnt say much except it changes throttle response and power output. For the Sport modes it says that "The rear-wheel drive IS 350 F SPORT's Sport S+ mode also tightens the suspension..." Are the shocks somehow adjustable, or is this just marketing BS?

I thought it was taken from the foot well of the passenger, but based on the position of the air filter there (behind the glove compartment) and presence of dirt on the top (and not the bottom) of it, it seems that air is pushed out (downwards) and not taken from the foot well.
new 2014.5 Camry SE owner. Had the car about a week now and I've noticed every time I turn on the car, it defaults to recirculated in-cabin air, even when I've last turned off the car with it set to fresh outside air. Is it possible to change this default, either from recirculated to "last setting", or from recirculated to outside?

View 6 RepliesI have been having an issue with my interior lights, namely all the dash lights (cluster, climate, stereo, etc)
I have to keep switching the euro switch back and forth until it finally switches on the interior lights. The headlights still work but not the fogs, unless the interior lights go on.
What this could be? Perhaps an electric problem? Faulty euro switch?
Earlier this year I did a very hard stop to avoid an accident. The stop caused the brake lights to be locked on, such was the force I applied in my 2011 car. Toyota replace the brake light switch, but since then there has been an intermittent issue that has been impossible to invoke and continues despite the brake booster having been replaced (after I made a fuss and complained to Toyota HQ).
It most often happened after I'd been driving then left the car parked for 10 minutes to an hour with the power off. I'd get in the car, depress the brake pedal and press the power button. When I did so, the brakes would become rock hard and, if the car was put into drive, would roll forward. The only way to stop the car would be to take my foot off the brakes and re-apply them.
I got a 2010 Prius. I noticed that when I turn the car OFF , the master warning sign (yellow triangle with an exclamation mark) and a message in Japanese (which I cannot read) appear for a few seconds. I don't see the warning when switching the car ON, or while driving. I experienced this frequently when switching the power OFF. Why this happens?

View 19 RepliesThis is the second time I notice a problem with my 2014 elantra base model. The car only has 13000kms and today the car acted with a weird behaviour. This car has a manual 6 speed transmission.
Out of the blue the car jerked like it had a problem with the transmission switching gears which is weird as this is a manual.
The second time this happened the wife was driving and she said that she was in is third gear and she pressed the clutch and the brake at the same time and she felt a small jerking feel in the clutch like it didn't engage.
The problem is that I cant reproduce the problem. The car is still under warranty and I don't want to go to the dealer with a problem that I cant exhibit.
Yesterday my 2010 Prius 4 (98k miles) was normal until I switched the lights from normal to hi beam and then back again. The hi bean works but the regular headlights do not. All other lights work and there are no warning lights lit. Turn signals are normal. Could this be a circuit breaker?
View 19 RepliesSo I recently leased a 2015 GS 350 AWD. The car is great. Love all the features. However, for some reason I feel that the transmission is a bit I rough when it switches gears. I feel the kick. I also noticed a hang up or delay when slowing down. I am coming off a infiniti q50 and the transmission on that car was nice and smooth. Maybe I'm just too sensitive.
View 14 RepliesIt seems the LS460 cannot go DIRECTLY from "the engine is running with the infotainment system on" to "the engine is turned off, but the infotainment system remains on".
It seems as soon as you turn off the engine, the infotainment system cuts off immediately, dropping any bluetooth calls, music, or anything else.
You must press the Start button once more to get the accessories to come back (after a delay... since the wheel and seats have to retract once again... seems wasteful to me).
The only workaround I found, is to put the transmission into Neutral, then cut the engine... then put the transmission into Park.
This method will leave the accessories ON after the engine is cut, BUT it will not apply the automatic parking brake (if you use the feature).
It seems like a sludgy workaround... since I ALWAYS leave the parking brake in automatic mode, so I'd like it to engage every time the car is parked... which doesn't seem possible if I use this workaround.
Is there any way to keep the radio screen up instead of it automatically switching to the nav screen after a few mins?
I've tried (i think) every option in the settings menu and i looked in the owners manual, but can't find anything.
I'm having an issue with my Nav system. I'm not sure if its going out or if it's due to the cold weather but it doesn't immediately come on when I start the car. At some point while I'm driving I'll notice that it's on and working but it seems to also be intermittently switching between the day and night time screen mode. How to check to determine if it needs to be replaced or if there is a fix?
