Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Tire Pressure Monitor Light Went On
Aug 6, 2014
My TPM light went on coming into work this morning. I did a visual check, everything looked ok. When I got to work got out the old gauge and they all show about 28 psi. The manual states it can go on due to 'natural causes' but doesn't really go into detail. Will it goes on if any/all tires fall below a certain psi? I'll be going back out later to check again to see if one of the tires is going flat.

Our tire pressure monitor light came on recently. I checked the tire pressures, topped off all four and reset the TPMS button, but no luck. The light blinks, but then stays on. I'm thinking I've got one of two problems. Either the spare has low pressure or the batteries are used up in the sensors. The car is an early 2009. Seven full years seems kind of early for the batteries to be finished in the TPMS units.

When I bought a used camry 5 years ago and drove it on the highway, my front tire busted and damaged the fender cuz it had too much air!! I wonder if it shows high pressure on my 2010 gen III Prius v with ATP. I know that the tires are special on this v version but still I like to keep a slightly higher pressure in the front ones because the lane keep assist feature works better with higher tire pressure. Summer is coming up so that gets me worried what to do with tire pressures.

I had a new windshield installed and the first time it rained, my auto unlock, the tire pressure monitor and the auto headlights stopped working. The dealer said that the fuse box got wet. I have since fixed the leak but can't find a fuse or reset any where.

I just bought a 2008 Highlander. I'm thrilled with the quality of the vehicle so far. This model has a tire pressure monitor system which I can't seem to reset. I've set the pressure in all tires at 34psi and 44 for the spare, and the indicator light will not go out. I press the reset button and the indicator light never blinks to indicate that a reset is in progress.

I took my truck in because the tire pressure monitor light was on. I tried resetting it and that didn't work. I took the truck to the tire store where I purchased the tires. They checked all the sensors with test equipment and 4 out of 5 were bad. So I had them replace all the sensors including the spare. The light is still on. I followed the reset procedure and confirmed all 5 tires were at 32 psi. when I perform the reset the light blinks once and then stays on. What Now?

I have a 2010 F350 that has been throwing the "tire pressure monitor fault” on the dashes info center. Here is where it started. I purchased new wheels, tires and sensors a few weeks ago. I put them on and they were fine on the way home because I assume that the stock ones where still being read (they were in the bed of the truck). Put the old ones in the garage and then while driving to work the next morning I got the message. I tried to reset or “learn” the new sensors that night with no luck. There are two ways to get my truck into learn mode. One uses the hazard flashers then releasing some of the tire pressure until the truck horn beeps. The other method is a series of break pumps and turning the ignition from on to off then using the TPMS tool that apparently comes with the truck.
The truck went into learn mode every time with either method but it would never recognize the new sensors. After attempting everything on the sensors I checked to see if for some reason the trucks actual monitor was in a “fault” mode. Last night I tried relearning the old stock sensors with great luck. They all were recognized… for about 10 minutes. After getting them to work I left the shop I work at and on the way home the "tire pressure monitor fault” came back again. So just in case something had been in sleep mode when I did it I pulled over and reset them once more. Again with great luck… until this morning on the way to work again it went back to fault mode even with the stock wheels still in the bed.

Just got larger tires on my truck and tire pressure monitor light is on. How would I go about resetting this?

the indicator light is on because of the cold morning. All four tires are a few pounds low and I correct.
Back inside the vehicle, the indicator is still on! I get out to check the spare but, cannot because the valve stem is on top! And, my shirt is all dirty!
At home, I lower the spare and check/add air. Raise spare, put tools away. Now I know how to lower the spare.
Our basic Chevy vans at work let you know tire pressure in each of their four tires.

The light came on a few days ago, so I checked tires and made sure they were all at the correct PSI. But the tire pressure warning light continues to stay on. I've read other threads about a reset switch in the first generation GX, so is there that same switch in the second generation GX? And if so, where is it? Can't find anything in the manual about it.

When I should use the tire pressure reset bottom under the dash? Do I need to reset the system after I adjust the pressure every time?

Is there a way to completely disable the TPM system, I have turned it off in the MFI, but it displays a warning at the top of the screen, always. I put some Porsche 19"wheels on the Touareg without TPM. I took it to the dealer and they were unable to provide a solution.

How accurate are electronic tire pressure monitoring systems? My dashboard digital readout usually reflects 3 or more pounds less than psi taken with various manual gauges (cheapo, expensive, digital). Which should I believe?

The Tire Pressure Monitor is now missing off of my menu. I was trying to show a friend tonight and I clicked on it, the screen went black, then the menu came back up minus the TPM. What happened? I have restarted my car and even reset the MFI, but it doesn't work.

I'm on the lookout for a set of OEM rims so that I can get snow tires for the winter and just realized that I'll also need a set of Tire Pressure Monitors. What is the part number?

I have a 2004 Touareg with 70,000 miles, and until recently the tire pressure monitors have worked perfectly. Now I'm getting a Flat Tire warning, or a warning of a defective wheel, or when I try to reset it tries to learn but fails, or it sets a tire pressure of say 42 but the pressure is only 38. The Dealer says "its a known problem", he thinks they're going to issue a recall, but doesn't have a fix.

Had new tires put on yesterday and today my TPMS light came on. I guess one of the sensors came loose as I can hear it rattling around in the LR tire.
My question is do I have to replace all four sensors or can I just replace the one?

My tire pressure monitor is acting funky again in cold weather. For the past few days when the weather is around 30s i get flat tyre warning when i first start my car. then after drive for about 5 minutes, it goes away. Seems like once the tire warms up the warning disappeared.
I have standard 18" wheels... currently the tire reading from the MFI is 34 front 37 back. I remember i had them set in the summer for 37 front and 42 back. Should I put more air in? is that why?

I am looking for which model of tire pressure monitor for my 04 VW Touareg. I am looking for the front sensors, I believe they are made by Beru. What is the code and where I can find those (link)?

The window sticker for my '07 Passat 3.6 says that the car has the tire pressure monitoring feature. I have yet to find it, and was not under the impression that I was getting that feature when I was buying car. Seeing it on the window sticker a few months after I got the car surprised me.
But so far I haven't found hide nor hair of it. If I had tire pressure monitoring... where would it be?
