Now and then when I open the sunroof it sticks and wont open... then I close it and try again and it opens but it makes a pop noise as if something sticking.... happens now and then. I am thinking some grease or oil somewhere is needed?

View 8 RepliesBought my 2004 Lexi RX330 in June 2014 with 96k (now has 105k - I drive a lot). It is beautiful and I love it! However, I am NOT in love with the sunroof that is currently stuck open. It's been making a weird noise upon opening (think bag of chips crackly) for the past few weeks. Yesterday was gorgeous weather in TX, so it was open most of the day. Come time to put her to bed, the sunroof would not close. Making a horrible grindy/clicky noise and closes about 4 inches then stops... then it starts to open again. Weird! There's nothing I can see in the tracks that is stopping it. The passenger side looks like it would close, but the drivers side looks like it is stuck. Tried to take the sunroof motor out, but there is a metal bracket in the way. Besides the fact, what to do with the motor once I had it out...
View 1 RepliesJust picked up a 2001 GLX wagon and it is something my 93 did -- when opening the sunroof all the way, it makes a "popping" noise. With my last car, it was from something that snapped rendering it useless.

View 4 RepliesOur 2013 RX350 has a brake pedal that makes a pretty loud noise when it snaps back after you depress it a little harder and take your foot off. I complained to my SA, and they told me it's normal. It's not a big deal, but any other car I have owned, I have never noticed such a thing.

View 4 RepliesI've been hearing some kind of a rattle, and I thought it was coming from the dash. Just found out today that it was the front passenger seat; the backrest vibrates and makes a faint noise whenever the car hits a bump. Is this normal? My previous car (10+ year-old ES300) didn't have this issue. I'll be heading to the Stealer for service on Friday, if it is a problem then I'll get them to take a look at it.
My seatbelt fastener sometimes rattles too, I guess it needs to be replaced as well!
I've been having rattling noise problem on my 2010 RX350 for months now. It comes from the passenger side corner of the sunroof. It sounds like metal hitting glass. I took it to the dealer twice already but the problem is that each time the noise stops. I even drove with a technician in the car to replicate the noise but each time no sound, nothing.
View 11 RepliesI have purchased a used 2006 GS430, The sunroof never worked since I had taken ownership the sunroof does not open or tilt not a sound, I checked the fuse under the drivers dash and looked at what looks like a main fuse (#67) in the engine compartment alongside the battery both fuses looked good and I have disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to reset any minor faults, I have also tried holding the sunroof buttons for 30 seconds and still nothing.
View 10 RepliesA couple weeks ago I went home sick from work, doped up on medication. We ran through the drive through for dinner, and it was really cold out. Woke up in the morning to find ALL my windows down and the sunroof open.......and it snowed about 1/4 inch. My wife went with me and she was sober, and swears that all the windows were up when we went in the house. Now, I am at work and had a customer come in and tell me that my windows were down, and the sunroof was open half way. This time I KNOW FOR A FACT that they were up and the sunroof was closed when I parked it.
View 4 RepliesCheck your cars to see if you have any failure happening. Parked outside year round. Don't know cause but dealer has ordered parts. Supposedly mine is only the second vehicle to have a similar problem. With sunroof partly open, check for rippling at the bottom of the trims and for cracks forming in the corners. My first notification of the problem was a corner of the trim popping off during a car wash. Seems the trim wants to expand off the glass. The good news is of course that it is only cosmetic and there's no leaking or anything plus it is under warranty.

View 6 RepliesMy 2007 Camry has developed a loud popping noise when sliding the sunroof open. It's as though the sunroof is getting caught under the vehicle roof before it moves to slide open. The motor labors pushing the sunroof past vehicle roof. I see no obvious obstruction. The sunroof makes no noise when going to the tilt position. I have tried the initialize process, but the problem persists.
View 14 RepliesI'm fairly certain it's not a dead 12v battery. If when I shut down the car after a drive and immediately turn it back on and off again it makes the beeping noise only when the door is open. If I come back to it, the car's dead. I've done this a few times, the last time was in a parking lot and I was surrounded by cars so I had to jump it from the back.
The only fix I had figured out to avoid coming back to a dead car was to put the car in to gear, either reverse or drive and engage the throttle/roll the car maybe 10-15 feet, then back into the spot and shut it off. Is this normal and is it because I've shut it down too fast before letting it start back up?
Having issues with the brakes locking to the rotors after washing the vehicle? I washed it on Saturday afternoon, pulled it back into the garage and it sat there until Monday morning.
I back the vehicle into the garage, always. I started it up, put it in D and usually it will want to lurch forward if I don't hold the brakes firmly. Not today. I could not get the thing to budge. I sat there for a few seconds to make sure the parking brake was not on. It was not, as I never use that. My garage floor is the slippery concrete, plus with the tire shine that I applied, the wheels were just spinning.
After I managed to get the vehicle halfway out, I put it in reverse...that worked no problem. I put it back in drive and had no issues after that. Do I need to have the vehicle looked at? It only has 5,400 miles, and it was just in last week for the 5K mile service.
I have a 2006 Saturn Vue and if drive with the sunroof open and the driver side window open I get periodic thumps or knocks from below the front seats or the dashboard (not really sure where it is coming from).
If I open additional windows or close the driver side window it goes away. I am sure it is an air flow issue.
