I have a Motorola Maxx (not the HD model). When I tried to sync to my RX450h, it initially failed. A little online research indicated that I should load an app called "Bluetooth Phonebook" and enable BPAP. Did that and all appeared to go well - all my contacts showed up. However, on closer inspection, several contacts had one of the last 4 digits wrong.
View 4 Replies I've been driving Lexus since 1995. My new GS is a 2008 model (with a President pack according to local French definition). I use windows phones (Lumia series) and I can easily connect these phones for conversations while driving over BT. But when I try to transfer my contact data to the car, the BT connection fails and when I stop this transfer, the BT connection comes alive again.
I only have/use windows phone (windows 10 and windows 8.1). any hint where I could look to to solve this problem ?
another question related to this : can I stream audio from my phone to the Mark Levinson system via BT ? apparently it does not work with my windows phones .
When setting up blutooth, only a handful of my contacts transferred to the car. Why or how to get the entire list to transfer over??
View 13 RepliesI have a '02 Excursion with a 7.3L PSD, 238,000 miles. When I drive and say stop at a stop sign or light, when I transfer from the brake pedal to the accelorator and initially begin moving, I hear a slight "Thump" in the back. Could it be a sticky rear brake caliper? Bad U-joint? Sloppy ring/pinion gear? Just put AMS oil in the rear diff but have noticed slight shavings on the fill plug magnet.

1. At high speeds 50+ mph the car downshifts quite often during rapid deceleration.
2. When coming to a near stop but not completely, and accelerate moderately to fast, lot of times there is a jerkiness when stepping on pedal initially. Is this normal or could it be something with the differential gearbox?
I had my truck at the shop today and it was determined that the transfer case front driveshaft seal is leaking and the gasket between the transmission and transfer case has also failed. The shop wants a reasonable amount to fix it but they need the truck for 2-3 days. It doesn't appear to be that difficult of a job to remove the transfer case. Am I missing something? Dropping off the truck and leaving it for a few days is the difficult portion......if they could do it in a day I'd just pay them and be done with it. So my thought was to pull it and just drop it off so they can replace the seals and fix any other issues.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2013 LS in which I leave my iPod plugged in all the time. It usually plays perfectly. However, it frequently loses connection for no apparent reason and the audio shuts off. When I turn the audio back on the iPod is not shown on the menu. I have to dig it out of the console and remove and reinsert the plug. The iPod then shows up on the menu and all is well for a while.

View 6 RepliesSuper excited still just picked up a 13 cpo fsport awd, obsidian and cabernet. Playing with the set up and seeing some of the posts on here a couple questions I had.
#1. There's a DIY thread for changing the puddle light. I couldn't find in the settings how to turn those lights on. When I lock the doors or unlock, they don't turn on.
#2. In the phone settings, there's an option to show contact pictures for the caller ID. I tried a couple calls, but the picture doesn't show on the dash screen, but does on my phone.
I have a 1993 Lexus SC 300 and have met all maint milestones. Recently had both rear shocks replaced and am getting a SHARP metal contact in the left rear when the suspension begins to load. Mechanic spent afternoon looking in shock mount, trunk, spare, jack, spare and antenna mast-can't find it. New tires. New rear brakes-told me that was it. Still there.

The radio works fine, my phone connects via bluetooth, but trying to use anything XM just gets me a solid black screen with the failed to initialize message. I've called the dealer and was told unless the problem was happening when I brought it in, that there wasn't anything they could do.

I just purchased a T-Mobile my touch 4g phone. I set up the bluetooth okay, but am unable to transfer the contacts. I keep getting 'unable to transfer.
My prius gen 3 battery failed at 150000km and the other prius gen3 in my city battery failed between 130000 and 180000 km.

View 14 RepliesThe scenario: I recently filled up at a station that, according to the attendant, had just lost electrical power but power had been restored. The pump was flowing agonizingly slowly, so I asked the attendant what was up, and he said the system needed 20 minutes or so to reboot before the pumps would flow at the normal rate--sounds kind of specious to me, but I was in no hurry, so I figured so what, I'd wait it out.
Well, eventually the tank filled up, and then some. The pump's auto-shutoff failed to work (my guess is that the flow rate was so slow that the back pressure failed to build up to the point to trigger it, but, whatever...). Gas was dripping everywhere by the time I noticed it (since it was taking so long, I wasn't paying close attention).
I have a 2010 Ford Escape. A few months ago, my power windows intermittently failed to work. The problem was most acute on the drivers window, but eventually spread. It's now reached a point where none of the windows work at all - neither from the drivers switches nor from the switch in each door. I replaced the fuse, but that's as far as I've gotten. My question is: what should I check next?

View 14 RepliesI've been smelling gasoline fumes outside rear and sides of 2004 Malibu Maxx. No DTCs setting, although I left gas cap off while running, opened port of purge solenoid (also while engine running), and checked all fuses marked emissions. Dealer said they needed to charge $500 just to take tank down to check for leaks. Does not matter if it is cold or been running for an hour.
