Don't know how to change the default screen setting so that it stays in either radio or Media screen. It automatically reverts to map after pressing the radio or media button.
View 3 RepliesI just got my 2016 ES300 and I noticed that every time I start the car, the default view goes straight to the navigation screen. Is there a way to change it to something else or to the last screen it was before I turn off the car?
I ask is because in my previous car (Avalon), if I was on the radio screen and I turn off the car and turn it back on again, the radio screen would come up.
Only had my 2011 LS about a month now.
Other cars I have seen will allow you to use the remote and close all windows and moon roof. Looking at the LS460 manual it looks like the dealer can program our remote to open the windows and moon roof with the remote. But it does not say anything about closing.
Also a question on the Navigation. Can you change the default screen to the Information screen? Mine always goes straight to the map when I start up. Could not find a place to change it.

View 14 RepliesI had the reverse and seat belt beeps changed by the dealer before I took delivery. Now I want to install some mods which would entail disconnecting the 12-volt battery. With pre-2010 Prii the beeps would go back to the default settings. Will this happen on the 2010+? I don't want to make another trip to the dealer.

#1. When I turn the car on... it loads to the Map/Nav... How can I default it to the Home screen?
#2. Is the analog clock really the only clock? Can I get a digital clock on the home screen/console?
I just bought a 2013 model RX350 about two weeks ago.
I am wondering why does my car default to 4th gear even at a stop when put into Selectable Gear Mode; I would think it should be in '1'. Is this a faulty vehicle requiring some fix?
In other brand vehicles I have driven, shifting into S-mode at standstill puts it in '1'. At highway speeds, it would be '6' and at intermediate speeds it will be some number in between. I can then upshift and downshift from that number as I would change gears in a manual drive car.
Is that kind of "manual simulated" driving feasible or advisable in the RX350 with the default 4th gear behavior? I have not dared to try starting from the '4th gear' for fear of ruining anything.
Whenever I start my car the default screen is the map, whether I am using nav or not. Is there a setting somewhere where I can make the audio the default screen?
View 4 RepliesEverytime, I get into my V I play my various podcast (via iPhone). However, its takes about a minute (as compared to my wife's RX which connects instantaneously). Why it takes such a long time? Bluetooth is always on and its be "paired".
Also, when I turn off audio, the screen simply shows blue screen with "audio off". Is there a way that I can always default to the map screen instead of going to apps --> maps --> show map? Not a biggie, but a nice to have for me.
I read that I can change the start up pics on my GS nav screen when starting the car. I like the default ones but would like to try something new. When I went to transfer my images in the directory, it asked if I really wanted to delete the existing ones. I was under the impression that what is default remains and that I can install new ones also. Does the default ones will be removed from car nav system?

Had the car about a week now and I've noticed every time I turn on the car, it defaults to recirculated in-cabin air, even when I've last turned off the car with it set to fresh outside air. Is it possible to change this default, either from recirculated to "last setting", or from recirculated to outside?

Can this be changed? I know I can manually slow the fan down but seems like i have to do that every time I start the AC.

View 5 RepliesYesterday all of a sudden the lights on the instrument panel started flashing and the RPM indicator started fluctuating . The RPM indicator would rev and bounce all over the place while the engine was. At a constant speed. Same thin happened before when the alternator went. Next the A/C sort of went and the NAV screen showed Air Condition Diagnosis with no options to change the climate control on the screen. When I got to the car I noticed the 110v ac button was on, not sure how long she had it engaged. I turned if the 110v button and unplugged the battery to reset the computer. All seems fine driving it for 20 miles now.
View 2 RepliesJust traded in our 2010 Prius (III with nav) for a Prius v (Five) with display audio. Love it, and glad we made the switch.
On our old Prius, the display would simply change back to the map view after ~5-10 seconds. The new car does not seem to do this. No luck searching the manuals or the Internet. Is it possible?
I notice that wipers stop in position they were caught when I turn engine off (in the middle across windshield). Is it possible to set them to go down after ignition is off as other (not so luxury cars) do?
