Our '11 RX, no nav, has a startling ringer volume when a call comes in. The caller's voice is normal, but the ring-in is alarming. Looking for info if this is a function of the iPhone's ringer volume, or a setting within the car. If so, how to adjust just the ringer volume.
View 5 RepliesThis week I began experiencing operational problems with the mark levinson stereo and I'm looking for a logical next step to resolve
1). I cannot adjust the volume either from the volume **** or from the steering wheel. I have volume I just cannot adjust it.
2). I cannot eject any of the CDs. I can play them.
3). Tapping the tuner **** should take you into stereo setup where you adjust bass, tremble, fade etc. when I tap it there is no response.
I can tune the radio fine. I can play the CDs fine. It does not appear to be fuse related
I called a car stereo guy who rebuilt my dried out speakers today and he suggested disconnecting the negative battery connection and touching the positive connection and that might reset it. That sounds scary to me and I do not want to harm any other components (or me!) by trying this. Any logical next step to resolving??
I am the original owner and all these symptoms happened at once and started after car sat in garage for a week. It has a new battery installed last year and shows no sign of a weak battery
I just purchased a 2010 Prius II. I have an I Phone 5. When I connect the phone thru Blue Tooth and listen to music app, I can only adjust the volume with the phone. I want to be able to adjust the volume with the car stereo volume knob.

View 3 RepliesI picked up a nicely used 98 XL in Alabama yesterday, with 106k original miles. The dealer threw in FREE oil changes for life with my purchase, but I don't see me driving 2.5 hours to Alabama for that.
It's got crank up windows, manual locks, standard tranny, 4.2 V6, and the regular seats. Yep, pretty basic. It came with a matching fiberglass shell also. The only things wrong are the radio volume doesn't adjust, and the rear window frame appears cracked. These are minor in my opinion.
What drew me to this truck was the beautiful condition it's in and my love of this body style. What would be added to improve creature comforts, performance, etc.

View 9 RepliesThe rear speaker volume in my 2010 RX 350 is very low. They produce sound but can only be heard when I put the balance almost completely in the rear. I prefer not to pay hundreds to the dealer and then possibly be told that I need to go to an audio specialist.

View 5 RepliesIs there a way to increase the volume of the buzz sound when locking the door with the remote? It has been bothering me for a while. Every time I lock the door with a remote as I am walking away from the car, I need to listen very carefully for the almost inaudible buzz sound so I am sure the door is locked. I searched in the settings but didn't find where it can be changed.
BTW, it is a 2014 RX350.
20thae with a UR 7lb flywheel and spec stage 3 clutch. Got rid of the dual mass flywheel and installed a lightweight flywheel and spec clutch now i have a god awful noise that is dead ringer for a throw out bearing noise. talked to the spec guy at waterfest today and he told me that the dual mass acts as a dampener and this just doesn't make any sense in my head. touch the clutch pedal in any gear at any speed and the noise disappears.. uy at spec said it was in the trans and the only option was to change for a thicker gear oil. p.s. i took out the clutch and everything back apart and measured everything is oem thickness and the throw out bearing is in good shape.
View 7 RepliesCan disable seat belt ringer? Today I got in my truck put it in reverse and sat for a moment and the damn ringer came on for the belt then drove down the drive way and it came on again. There was no need for the belt seeing that I was just moving trailers around the yard. I had a few Rangers and a Bronco that I was just able to reach down and pull the ringer out but I also had a Ranger that had the speaker build on to a circuit board I ended up putting bondo in that one made it real quite.

When streaming from my phone, it's great, using Sirus/XM, it's terrible. I called Sirus/XM, no luck there. I've asked the dealer about it several times over the last 3 years, no luck.
Has any found if there are Line Level input settings hidden that can be adjusted? Since it's loud enough when Streaming, that seems to be the issue. I really don't want to buy an amp, etc. I'd be happy with the volume level I get when streaming if it was that loud with Sirus/XM...
Need to adjust doors for a tighter fit? When going over bumps, I'm hearing fabric-rubbing-noise from the driver door and passenger rear door.

The rear arm has no slide to the bolt like I have seen in pictures of other Lexus cars. I don't really want to adjust the lights themselves I would like to level the arm back like stock angle.

View 14 RepliesThrough looking at pictures, Ive noticed RX's with different center console positions.
Some are more aft towards the Instrument console and some are more back towards the rear seats.
I can definitely go ahead with all the screws and figure how to slide it back but just making sure if there was a quick few screws to adjust and also if I CAN adjust.
I can't seem to get the headlights to adjust vertically on my 2006 GS430... I was able to do the horizontal and high beam adjustments done fine. It's just that when I try to adjust the vertical it does nothing... there's that gauge with the two bubble containers that you look at. When i look through the small window at it and screw the adjustment, all it does is move that little tube with the bubble either forward or backward. The bubble doesn't move. It seems to be stuck on the end where the front of the car is. The whole thing just moves!!! when i screw it clockwise, it will move the tube to the left and when i screw it counterclockwise it will move it to the right. I can move it all the way to the left or all the way to the right but the bubble just will not move.
