I did some searching, and it seems the only way to eliminate the rattle from the rear tonneau cover is to remove it completely? I use mine all the time, so I don't want to remove it, but the flap seems to make noise over most bumps. Any way to eliminate the sounds that it makes over bumps?

View 4 RepliesWhen I drive over quick choppy bumps in pavement I get a rattle in the rear of the suspension, but only when the bump is on one side. When the bump is long and activates both rear wheels, like a speed bump or a large road crack I don't get the rattle.
The sound seems to be worse on the right side and I can't really figure it out. Anything specific I should look out for?
I am out of town and did the 15K maintenance. Garage tech did not eliminate this message. I do not have my manual here. 2013 RX350 ... steps to eliminate this message...
View 2 RepliesI've got this irritating squeal sound when I ride over speed bumps, already for a few years. Every time I go to the dealer, they try to fix it, though never fixed it completely. Once they added some kind of lubrication, another time they changed one of the suspension parts. However I still have the issue.

My 07 gs350 only has 67,000 miles on it, and I've only had it for 2 weeks. I've noticed a rattle in my dash, seems to be up where the front windshield meets it. It only seems to happen when I hit bumps, which is quite frequent. The roads here in Michigan are absolutely terrible. Also I have run flat tires on it, which I heard makes for an extra bumpy ride... Is this a known problem? If so what's it gonna run me to fix it? Or is it just these run flat tires that I need to change maybe?
View 13 Replies'01 Taurus with an occasional rattle/clunking sound coming from the front end when going over bumps. Took it to the local shopping center auto. service dept. (probably 1st mistake I know) They say the only thing they could find was the RH CV boot was bad and was probably the source of the noise. Doesn't sound right to me since the boot is rubber and what I hear is more of a metal sound..what I was thinking possibly a suspension link or tie rod end. I know what a bad cv JOINT sounds like and it's nothing like this. Now if the CV boot is bad I don't mind to replace it, but I don't want to spend the money if it is not going to solve the problem. I've never heard of a boot making noise before.

Its developed quite a bit of interior rattles and creaks from what sounds like the structure over bumps and roads that aren't smooth. Plus the sunroof has a high frequency rattle. None of these were present during the test drive.
View 9 RepliesSo I know the 2013 GS (or many GS in general) have had complaints of squeaks and rattles. My GS has a couple but are very minor and only occasional.
I do have one noise that seems unusual though. When I am driving and drive over moderate bumps in the road, I hear a muffled clunk or thunk type of noise only from the rear passenger area and never anywhere else.
My car is a stock CPO 2013 F sport and not lowered or anything. Stock rims and tires. The shock does not seem to be leaking.
The noise happens regardless of if I am in regular or sport+ modes. Was going to mention it to the dealer at my next oil change and door trim replacement appointment I need to make Ina couple months.
I have a 2010 RX350 that has an intermittent chirp sound when driving. It's on the left side around the front driver's side. The dealer believes it's coming from the suspension (everything has been checked and is fine - all the bushings lubed and bolts tightened). But I believe it's coming from the inside (maybe the dash?). It's a random chirp that happens when you drive over rough roads/bumps, but not always.

View 14 RepliesSo when I bought one of my cars used I noticed a plastic rattle coming from the dash. Removed the dash sprayed some silicone and sealed with rubber and that fixed it. maybe 2 weeks ago another very annoying rattle developed which you can hear when the ICE start and you accelerate...and now you can hear it even when you are cruising on the hwy. I thought it is from the dash again but you will see that even without the dash it is still there.
View 13 RepliesI've noticed there's a bit more road noise in my Elantra in comparison to other competitor cars, and ever since I installed new speakers in the car with much more bass, the doors have been rattling quite a bit.
Sound deadening on the Elantra between the doors? I'm thinking of doing it but I'm not sure if there's enough space for foam or whatever would work best.
