I have the Non-Nav with just Display Audio. I have noticed that the display tends to fade in & out. Even at night when the lights are on- I keep the dash on the bright side- the DA/radio info fades. It's still legible but wondering is there a way to fix this? I couldn't find anything in the manual about adjusting the brightness.

View 13 RepliesAny way to increase the brightness of the outside temperature display? During the day, when the sun is shinning, it's impossible to read....even if I take my sunglasses off.
It's almost distracting as texting having to stare at the display trying to read the numbers.
The drivers side set temperature display (heat/a-c) is super bright but yet the rest is very difficult to see.
I have 20/20 vision.
I tried the dash brightness adjustment (odometer reset) but that has no effect.
It's too bright for nighttime driving: The reflexion onto the dash makes it look like I have a constant ghostly green bridge overhead at all times through the windscreen.
View 7 RepliesOn our 2012 Sonata all stock, the radio display screen is far dimmer than the rest of the lighting. When putting the lighting at a safe level for night time driving (ie not blinding), the display screen is far too dim. In order to see it, the dash lights need to be almost all up.
Any way to adjust? BTW, the radio knobs and preset lights are fine. It is only the diplay screen. This is NOT an issue on our 2012 Tucson. That one works perfectly. I flipped through all the obvious controls and found nothing
How do I keep it on the Audio display, or show both at the same time (Nav and Radio) like all other cars?
Plus how do I re-center the map if I accidently press one of the areas on the screen?
While I drove to and from the dog park yesterday - a total of 25 minutes - several alarming things happened to my 2007 Jetta (2.5L, 4 Dr, single owner = me). On the way there, a yellow icon popped up on the instrument display, and since I'd never seen it before, I looked it up in the manual after we parked and went into the park. It was the power steering icon - not low fluid, but your power steering may stop working, better get it checked. (!) Yellow is the warning, and red with noises is the serious problem level. But it also said sometimes that symbol shows up and then goes away. After 90 minutes in the park, I started the car and it wasn't there. And I didn't feel any problem with the steering. Then, after 3 minutes of very low speed driving, the radio display started to flicker, and the radio popped and then shut off by itself. Then the instrument display that shows the mileage, the tank mileage, the temperature and the time in red numbers started to fade, I noticed the A/C was blowing warm air, and three more icons showed up: the power steering one, the ABS brakes, and another one I didn't recognize. I kept driving because I was in traffic, and then after about 2 - 3 minutes, the A/C got cool, the radio came back on, and the icons went away. I haven't started the car yet today, but it drove all the way home last night with no weird episodes.I was in an accident in June that required both drivers side doors to be replaced and a lot of cosmetic work on the back bumper, but no impact to the engine area or front of the car. Any thoughts on what's causing this? I have a long freeway commute and I am worried about driving with things just cutting out like that.
View 5 RepliesI started my Prius and the Navigation Display open on it's own without me touching any buttons as though it wanted me to load a CD. Now it is stuck in the open position and the CD player is making noises like a CD is stuck but do not have a CD in the player.
I have hit every button to try to get it to close, no luck. It is stuck on the FM station I was listening to and will change stations or to AM, CD, SAT. I turned the car on and off several times just stuck open.
Just picked up my 2012 Model Five w/ ATP. Love it (more details to come), but it seems to require too much touch screen action that could better be accomplished through voice recognition. The nav screen always seems to jump back to map display after I've finished an audio transaction. Any way to just keep the audio screen in place until I select the map display? I don't like having to go back to audio to change stations. Also, the nav voice instructions are sometimes only useful for part of the trip. Is there any way to squelch the voice while driving without going into setup and using the touch screen? Answers are probably in the manual but I haven't found them so far.
View 15 RepliesI just got my first Lexus (2013 GS350) ... I noticed an issue with connecting iPhone for bluetooth audio streaming / if there are any fixes for this. I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.3 that connects when the car turns on. However, sometimes when I switch modes to BT audio from say, FM radio, it'll say "Portable audio player connected" and my phone lock screen as well as the navi screen will show that the music is playing, but no audio is coming out of the car speakers. If I turn off the audio system and turn it back on, the music will play. I can also pause the audio on the navi screen then hit play and it will play. Pause then play on the phone does nothing.
View 1 RepliesI want to install an external display ipod adapter (Kenwood KOS-A300) in my 2010 Prius IV, but in reading the manual I see that the power wiring for this device requires 3 connections - Ground, Ignition, and Battery (it also has a dimmer control wire, but I am hoping that one can be left disconnected).
I haven't come across an accessory like this before - usually they just need 12v and ground and in these cases I just tap into the wiring for a 12v accessory power outlet to get these connections. My recollection in this car is that the accessory power outlets are switched (either with ignition "on" or accessory "on"), and they turn off when the car is shut down.
Is there a convenient location inside the vehicle where I can connect a wire that is always hot with 12 volts?
Audio doesn't resume upon selecting Radio or Media from the display?
Instead, we have to press the volume **** and then select radio or media, adding a step.
Just had my 2015 ES350 for a week. Today when I was driving on the highway, all the sudden the audio display screen (no navigation) was turned off by itself, but I still hear the sounds from the speakers. all the buttons were not working. after few minutes, the display system seems reboot itself, then it was frozen at start screen with only shows the Lexus logo on it. until I pulled over and restarted the car, it was back to normal.
View 5 RepliesCan Display Audio's phone interface accept pauses or waits (P or W) in the phone number? My phone uses them for voicemail passwords, eg dial the number, pause a few seconds, and then dial the password. So far it does not work at all through the bluetooth interface when initiated through voice command ("call xxx xxx xxxx pp yyyy#") or through the car's screen. I tried to directly store a similar number into the Display Audio "stored" numbers but could not find an option for the P pause.
View 6 RepliesSometimes in the bright sunlight, I cannot see the audio display or the small AC display that shows which vents the air is coming out from. Is there any way to illuminate these displays? Will some LEDs around them work or make it worse? I'm driving a C two. I have no intention of upgrading to an aftermarket sound system; I just want a simple inexpensive way to see the info on the screen.
View 3 RepliesJust got a 2012 c3, and I'm trying to get my iPod Nano (4th gen) to show up on the display as an iPod, controllable from the steering wheel and display. The manual says this iPod model is compatible. The iPod software is up to date.
If I plug my iPod into the AUX with a standard audio cable, it plays over the speakers fine but the display shows only "aux" and has no controls for it. If I plug it into the USB with an Apple cable, it doesn't plays over the speakers at all, and the USB doesn't show up as active on the display -- it's grayed out. I tested the cable elsewhere and confirmed it's fine.
I was adding some CD music to my jukebox on the stock 2010 Ford NAV radio today. I hit the eject button, but the disc did not come out. I tried hitting eject a few times with no luck. Only once when I hit the eject button did it make any noise like it was trying to eject. The screen read "Eject Error". How to get the disc out?

View 3 RepliesI've recently came across a site that sells a bypass unit that would allow me to bypass the DRL brightness adjustment settings to "Full" brightness even when the headlights are on. Instead of the "dim" mode when the headlights are on.
View 14 RepliesOn my 2007 GS350 I have an annoying (or) normal problem where the Nav screen has to warm up a little, like an old tube radio, to full brightness when I start up the car on a colder morning. It takes about 15 to 20 seconds. My Lexus dealer first said it was normal but eventually gave up and replaced it. It still seems to be about the same.
View 8 RepliesThis isn't about the condensation build up due to faulty headlights, but the plastic on the headlights seems to be "fogging" white quicker than any other car I've owned. Have this issue on their 2010 Prius? I've only had the car since February of 2010 and already in less than 4 years, the plastic housing is starting to fade white.
