I have the 2014 RX350 and backed out of my garage with the door partially open.
It took off the Antenna "fin" which is on the top in the rear. There was a black piece underneath.
Need to determine if the part needs to be replaced or if I can just re-attach? I've included some pictures....
Looking for a sunshade that fits the front windshield pretty good and isn't too small or big or bulky.

know where/how to access the Camry's antenna? I have looked in places where it is located in other models, but not luck.
I want to see if I can utilize it with a conversion kit or if I'm stuck with a dealer install.
I'm going to wrap my roof but I dont know how to remove the roof antenna. Is there a write up somewhere?

View 7 RepliesThe antenna snapped off the top of the RX330 and I assume the threaded part is still in there. I was thinking drilling a hole then maybe ezout the part that is stuck.
View 2 RepliesNoticed the antenna did not go all the way down. It will also not go up. When I turn the radio off the motor grinds for few seconds but the antenna does not go all the way down. Mast problems? Any links how to fix it?
View 14 RepliesI recently got my UW F-Sport roof vinyl wrapped with gloss black. A local shop didn't want to wrap the antenna cover and recommended I get an obsidian black cover instead. So, I went to the dealership, ordered the part and now I have the cover. I looked up threads here on CL thinking it'd be an easy 5 minute DIY but apparently that's not the case. One member said he had to remove the interior c-pillar trims, part of the headliner etc. etc. Another said to just remove the rear seat light dome and someone else said the a dealership just prys it off. I tried the light dome, all I was able to get to were the bulbs.
View 4 RepliesRecently had my windshield replaced due to a stone chip and, as suspected, RES+ antenna could not properly be re-attached to inside of glass. Basically, the adhesive left on the antenna is barely attaching the thin antenna elements. And, one of the antenna elements is so thin there is no way you could neatly apply more adhesive and make it look reasonable.
I suspect, the only proper way to return to original condition is to replace the RES+ antenna assembly, too. I'm pretty sure the antenna on the glass is hardwired to the harness that goes all the way to the control module inside the dashboard, although I hope I'm wrong.
My GTI has a problem i don't know how to fix. Shift knob on the automatic mk4 (2005) GTI, has a rubber piece that covers the ther gears when you are in the one of your choices. Such as if you were to be in drive then park reverse and neutral would be covered by the rubber sheet, as would the gears under drives such as the 4th 3rd and 2nd gears. That sheet of rubber on the car has been unattached from the front side of the sifter so that there is a hole in front of the shifter if I were in drive, the rubber piece that covers that hole was jammed into the front part of the gearbox (directly under the shift knob when in park).
I managed to get the rubber piece out from under there with a pair of very fine pliers. now my problem is how to attach the sheet back to the front of the shift knob. the rubber sheet seems to be very loose and when it is moved side to side you can see that there is some sort of zipper pattern along each edge of the rubber cover. MY QUESTION IS!! how to reattach the rubber cover?? or do i have to take that section apart and replace it?
The bluetooth microphone located on the roof (right next to the lights) suddenly fell off while I was driving and is now hanging from a couple wires - any way on re-attaching it to the roof?

View 11 RepliesI just picked up my new 14 SFS Limited last month love everything about it. On a recent quick trip to the gas station I didnt have the radio on and was just driving in silence and noticed an annoying whirring noise while at a light.
This whirring noise only happens when the car is in drive, and has to be driven just a few meters then when you apply the breaks (at a stop light or stop sign) after 2 seconds a faint whirring noise starts up. When you lift off the breaks the noise goes away but when you apply the break again the noise is replicated.
While driving my 2009 Camry the abs light and break light pop on and the speedometer stops working as well as the tacomitor and the odomitor stops ticking off miles as well, also the ac fan will run but the compressor stops.

I have a 2011 Corolla S, Manual Transmission...Since ive got it i shift gears at 3,000 RPM's, I have a buddy who shifts every 3,500 RPM's. Is There any benefits to shifting at higher RPM's during the break in of the engine?
Sometimes it happens at slow speeds too but it's so random that I know it will never do it at the dealer. I can't say "When I take off fast or stop hard it makes a weird sound" it's a lease and they will probably blame me for whatever is wrong. Sometimes the tranny doesn't feel right either. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD that made a similar sound and it was bushings but this car has only 4,000 miles on it. What should I do?

View 9 RepliesI am having a problem repairing my 1997 aerostar with a 3.0 engine. Code PO340 comes up. Ive replaced the cam sensor, cam sensor housing and the pcm. Using the diagnostic charts, I've thoroughly checked out the wiring, in the harness, at the sensor, and at the pcm. I've set the cam sensor housing at TDC with the appropriate timing tool. Code P0340 still comes up. I've seen a couple of other aerostars with the same problem. Ford TSBs .....
View 14 RepliesI had first two spark plugs break off in my 2005 F150 before stopping. I ran five tanks of injector cleaner through using different brands of cleaner. The next six plugs removed without any issues.
Since then, I replaced 2 plugs after 25000 miles. Used one tank of injector cleaner and had no problem.
I would suggest that anyone planning on changing plugs run some injector cleaner through before the change. The cleaner seems to remove the carbon build-up around the plugs.
