My RX350 2012/13 model AWD check system and slip indicator warning light are permanently ON on the dashboard. The car is driving normal. How to clear the indications because I am very uncomfortable with it.
View 1 RepliesI have had my new 450h for almost 7 months and do love this car. I took it in for its 6 month service, although apparently needn't have done so because we only have 1300 miles on it thus far. However, it checked out fine. Today whilst driving home from the local supermarket and we got a warning on the dashboard with the orange triangle saying to check BSM system. I had not done anything and am concerned why this should happen suddenly. I have called and will have to take the car to be checked. What happened?
View 3 Replies2010 ES350... Was detailing interior of car, and didn't realize headlights were on. Eventually, battery drained and car would not start. Had OEM, original battery installed at the time. No dashboard lights lit prior to this.
From what I recall, shortly after replacing the battery and getting vehicle started, my slip indicator was solidly lit on dashboard. No other lights are illuminated, and vehicle appears to behave the same.
Fast forward to today, my OBD II scanner (Innova) does not pick up any current DTC's. There are readiness codes stored, but I understand that these are merely emmission related. However, there are historical codes stored which I am concerned may be possibly contributing to the dashboard light. The codes are P1604 and B2799. These appear to be related to the immobilizer system on my ES. I've tried to clear these codes, but they won't go away, so I suspect something is still tripping this. Keys are fine, just changed the FOB battery out a couple of times. I may try my second set of keys to see if it fixes this mess.
Since my OBD scanner doesn't support ABS, I'd like to see if AutoZone or something of the like can detect if there are any codes being thrown by the ABS system. Not sure if this is what is tripping the SLIP light.
My Lexus was working fine till yesterday, but today when I started (button press) it, it started giving me a Check VSC error and Check engine light along with Slip Indicator started showing up
Took it to Autozone for the codes and got

2010 Prius V owner as of last week. All has been going well and got into the car this morning and all of the above noted lights are on at start-up and stay on as I drive. Have made appointment with the dealer but they cannot get me in until late next week. I did make a short drive this morning and all seemed fine with handling and braking. Searched a few threads here and answers are very varied and none that I saw had all of above lights on. I don't think that it is the Hill Start Assist. Safe to drive until we can get into the dealership?

The Owner's Manual says: If the vehicle is in danger of slipping or rolling backward when starting on an incline, or if any of the drive wheels spins, the slip indicator light flashes to indicate that the VSC/TRAC systems are operating.
Luckily, it only happened once... otherwise, I'll roll back to the dealership in the very first day I picked up my car...
My 2011 Camry LE 4-cyl has 48k miles. Today I was driving on the highway during very heavy rain. My vehicle slip indicator light came on, along with my check engine light. I stopped at Advanced Auto for a diagnostic check. They said they couldn't be sure if it was a sensor, or maybe a wiring issue.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2011 Corolla LE, about 58k miles. The latest work I did was replace the brake pads, rotate the tires and changed the oil a little over 2 weeks ago. Everything was normal so far. Yesterday I drove for about an hour, again everything was fine, but after stopping at a gas station and starting I have several indicator lights come on.
- Slip indicator, flashing
- TRAC OFF, constant
- ABS, flashing
- Electric power steering warning light, flashes but turns off after about 30 seconds.
I tried my OBD scanner with no luck, but figures since there was no Check Engine light.
the indicator light is on because of the cold morning. All four tires are a few pounds low and I correct.
Back inside the vehicle, the indicator is still on! I get out to check the spare but, cannot because the valve stem is on top! And, my shirt is all dirty!
At home, I lower the spare and check/add air. Raise spare, put tools away. Now I know how to lower the spare.
Our basic Chevy vans at work let you know tire pressure in each of their four tires.
I have a 10 month (15,000 mile) Prius and the " check hybrid system" warning light came on while driving on the interstate. 17 miles later the car quit running. I had it towed to the local dealer and after taking a looking at it I was told the error code pointed to the water pump (which they plan to replace). Does that make since? Has this been a problem for the Prius IV?
View 4 RepliesI bought the used 2006 Lexus 148,000 miles few days ago now when driving its showing on the dash check PCS system.
I took it to the local garage they plugged in Techstream and said they are no faults are recorded.
I called today Lexus Oxford, Lexus Reading and they said they will start with the initial diagnostic diagnostic using the Lexus software and will then proceed further according to the trouble codes.
I told them that as the local garage have used Techstream were unable to find any trouble code, after that they said that they have to start with the initial diagnostic and will charge me for that and after that they will they how many more hours are need for checking , its ridiculous .
1) Check PCS System.
2) How can I check the health of the Hybrid battery as battery bars are charging and discharging too quickly.
After driving most of a day on the road a red triangle warning light came up on the dash and a PCS System Check light lit together with a Check PCS System message in the display site. I checked the fuses and they seem to be Ok. The car runs fine and I don't feel any effect on driving the car due to this message.
View 2 RepliesThursday driving home from work, the thing started dinging and all sorts of lights started flashing at me. I looked in the manual and (finally) found that it is the TPMS. The orange light on the left side blinks for 1 minute and then stays on steady. I also see "Check System" in the display under the speedometer and there is a red light with an explanation point (!) on the right side. Checked all tire pressure. All were at 30 PSI. Checked spare, it was good. Manual says if it blinks and stays steady, contact your dealer. Called...they can't look at it until Feb. 12. I drive 40 miles a day on average. Not a lot, but by 2/12 that is several hundred miles. what could be wrong and if i should still be driving this car?

View 2 RepliesSo I noticed this has happened a few times.. If I press on the brake pedal too hard, the indicator light will come on and then turn off a few moments after I depress the brake pedal. This has happened when the car is stationary as well as when I was coming to a stop, it's happened maybe 5 times since I picked the car up a few weeks ago. Is this normal behavior or an indication of a problem? Just an FYI, I'm not talking about when the indicators light up when first starting the car.. This is tied strictly to pressing the brake pedal hard.

I have the following warning lights on:
1) Check Engine
2) Yellow Indicator, looks like exclamation point inside a circle inside parenthesis.
3) Red Multi-information display (exclamation point inside a triangle)
4) Hybrid System Warning Light on display screen, looks like exclamation point through a car
The engine cranks up just fine and drives forward and backward in the driveway fine. Battery level indicator is blue (see image). I checked for turbulence in the inverter reservoir with the engine off and fluid was flowing.
I checked the 12V battery (using the car's measurements by holding Display and turning lights on and off 3 times) and its value was 12.1 volts without engine and A/C on and 11.8 volts with them on.
The fan in the back right passenger seat is always on now though (I don't remember ever hearing this fan noise before), regardless of engine on or not, even though it's only about 80 degrees outside and it's been sitting idle all day and all last night. It comes on pretty much immediately when the power button is pushed.
I just bought a used 2012 Toyota Prius iTech from a country town 3 hours away. About an hour into the drive home, the display informed me to "Check Hybrid System" and then "Check PCS System". The car continued to function for a little while, then eventually lost acceleration, so I pulled over. I turned it off and on again; the warning light remained but the car started and continued to work, but soon after I lost acceleration again. This happened one more time.
Then I Googled the problem and discovered that you could "turn it off and on again three times to reset the computer". I did this and the problem disappeared and did not resurface for the remainder of the trip, and has not happened again since.
Noticed the warning indicator on dash, linage of a battery, this morning. Thought maybe battery needed to be replaced? So got replacement battery and installed it, but warning light still on.

There is a small crack in the right headlight and I sealed it but some dirt has now entered and now the light comes on to "Check AFS System" It is costly at the dealer so I am looking for replacement light. In the meantime, is there a way to shut that off the main cluster as it's terribly annoying...
