Whenever I put my 05 RX 330 into reverse the door mirrors do not angle down. I just bought this vehicle 3 weeks ago and when I first got it they worked fine. Did my wife or myself accidentally turn this feature off? Is there a way to check them?
View 4 RepliesWhen I shift to reverse, the side mirrors angle downwards automatically. The driver's side one squeaks when it does this. Any tip to remove the squeak.
I recently upgraded my puddle lamps to blue LEDs to match my interior lights and took the opportunity to spray a little bit of WD40 on the mechanism. I didn't use much, since the mirrors are basically friction fit I didn't think it wise to spray all over, but that didn't seem to make any difference.
The mirror still seems to move freely enough and nothing obvious is rubbing.
I recently replaced my front door speakers in my 2005 RX330. Upon reassembling everything I had the following issues:
1) The front Passenger side window and rear seat windows would not roll down from the driver's side controls. This issue was resolved by going to each individual window control and rolling the window down halfway and then rolling them all the way up and continuing to press on the window control in the "Up" position for an additional 5 seconds or so.
2) My original Lexus key (non-remote) would work for staring the car, but it would no longer work to unlock the doors by inserting it into the Driver's side door lock and moving the key toward the front of the car.
3) In attempting to resolve issue #2, I disconnected the Car battery for a couple of hours and reconnected it, which leads me to my big problem(s). Now none of my windows will roll down from ANY window control (including the front door driver's window). In addition, the doors can only be locked/unlocked from the Lexus Key Remote or from the front Passenger door lock control.
I have checked all fuses that I could get to (under the hood and under the drivers side dash panel) but I still cannot get the windows or door locks to function normally. I could not get to one big blue fuse under the dash panel right next to the fusebox that I believe is related to the power windows. I am not sure if it also fuses the sunroof, which DOES function. I pulled the Negative Battery cable off a second time and did another reset but to no avail.
I usually because mine was missing up a bit. My passenger side mirror when I put in reverse angles down adequately but my driver's side barely angles down? Searched forum and web and really couldn't find anything on it? Anyway to adjust the angle in reverse, I couldn't find anything in my manual at all either. I have it turned off now because it's virtually useless with the driver's side barely even angling down.
View 2 RepliesMy RX 330 has 246,000 miles and just started making a squeaking noise in reverse only when cold. I was told it may be one of the CV joints and the only remedy is to replace the driveshaft.
Had to replace a driveshaft? Are there any aftermarket driveshafts for this model?
Do both mirrors go down evenly when car is put in reverse! My passenger side goes down further then driver side.
View 4 RepliesInstalled Kenwood DDX7701HD unit and I have lost right side speakers. Used Metra Axxess TYTO-1 harness along with ASWC-1. Also had bad battery cell and replaced battery. I get plenty of sound from drivers area but when I adjust balance to right there is no sound at all there. At this point my ASWC-1 cycles through but isn't recognizing radio. That issue can wait unless it is part of this issue.
View 4 RepliesRecently my 05 RX330 had the driver side low beam bulb go out. I took it to a few places and they said take it to the dealership as they have special tools to change it. Of course I took it there and they were ready to charge me an arm and a leg to get 1 little bulb replaced. My question is do you have recommendations as to what I should do to get this fixed and not have my wallet get destroyed?
View 8 RepliesIt appears that the security system is somehow shut down. None of buttons on wireless FOB [main key] is working to open the door etc. even though the red indicator lights up. If I use the key, it opens the doors fine. The powerdoor controls inside the car are working fine. I did notice that security light on the dashboard is not blinking anymore.
The car was idle for three-four weeks and it didn't start so I gave a jump with portable unit. Could that do any damage to fuse etc.?
I have Rx 330 2005 AWD, recently we dont have winters, so I don't need 4x4 . Is it possible to drive without the back drive shaft? It very easy to remove it, but is it save for e.g. differential or other mechanisms? By the way I could reduce fuel consumption, I think, 18miles/gallon is really too much for polish realities.
View 2 Replieswhere best place to start looking for what's causing p0442 code on my 2005 rx330? and its not the gas cap... also have a "c" code identified for the VSC light, states that its wheel speed sensor. evidently wrote the wrong code down, i had it listed as a c1290 but in looking them up i couldn't find that one.

View 14 RepliesI have a 2005 RX330 that is fully loaded (Navigation, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls). About 6 months ago almost all of the technology stopped working. The navigation ask for a repair disk. The bluetooth stopped working. The radio still works, but recently it has been spotty, like you will turn on the car and the radio will not work, and no matter how much you turn the volume up or down no sound will come on until you turn the car off and turn it back on.
View 2 RepliesMy dealer said the windows on my 250 F sport executive pkg (Canada) should tilt down when the car is in reverse. They said the control must be either on the Lh or Rh position for it to work. I have tried both positions and it doesn't tilt when in reverse? The windows are currently locked out from the switch on the drivers door due to the tint being fresh (they said to wait a few days before rolling down the windows).
View 14 RepliesWhen I put my car into reverse both my mirrors tilt down. Doesnt matter which side mirror adjustment button I press (Left or Right) both mirrors tilt down. Then when I press the (L or R light up button) both mirrors tilt up. So I can either tilt both mirrors or tilt no mirrors. Is this normal behavior of the car or am I missing something here.
Most my other cars I had the selection of which mirror I need to get tilted. But in this car I don't have that option.
Do the passenger side mirrors on the LX570 dip when n reverse? I have a 2013 model year LX and I can't figure out a way to make them do that automatically when I throw it in reverse. I like the multi-camera feature, but I do like using my mirrors when parking and want it to automatically dip the mirror.

I don't believe that I've changed and settings but furious finger poking might have taken place as some point in the recent past. What has changed?
Yesterday a friend drove my 2013 ES350 and adjusted all the mirrors and seat to his preference. When I got back in to drive, I pushed the buttons to return to my settings. But now when in reverse, the side mirrors do not tilt downward, they revert to his settings. How do I undo this?
View 10 RepliesI went to the dealer yesterday to disable the steering wheel extending/returning and the side mirrors turning down when in reverse.
The dealer was not able to disable the mirror turning down in reverse. Mine is 2014. I read it somewhere that this is dealer service only.
I have a 07 GS 350 and my side mirrors don't point down all the way in reverse than when I put it in drive the mirrors don't adjust to my preset.
View 4 RepliesWhen shifting from reverse to park or drive, the mirror tilts back up but not in the position it was prior. It is actually quite irritating because I would start driving and have to adjust the mirrors back to the desired setting. I've also just sat there and shifted from park -> reverse -> park and recalled the memory setting and I will see it make the adjustments.
