After owning the truck for a little over a year I figure it's time to fix the little stuff staring off with the rear door. When pressing any of the 3 buttons to open/close it I get it to work 50% of the time. That being said, I can't pinpoint a specific bad part.

View 7 RepliesOur car was rear-ended (we had a great shop to the repairs and the car drives/looks like it did pre-accident). However, the navigation door magically stopped working now that we have the car back. The navigation screen still works fine, but the open/cose buttons will not make the door/lid open.
On other threads I have searched here, people have suggested this could be from the door being off-track (not the case here), a broken motor (could be the case), and/or a blown fuse (also could be the case).
What fuse I would need to check if it is in fact a fuse? I've looked at the fuse boxes in the engine bay (by the battery) and in the trunk, but all fuses look fine. Is there anywhere else I should look for a fuse before wasting a day at the dealer to diagnose/fix the problem?
I just bought a 2002 SC430, 62,000 miles, silver/saddle near perfect condition on owner, all records for $17,000. The radio door is stuck open and won't close. How to fix it? [/COLOR] Also the radio antenna will not go all the way down - about five inches stays up. Are the two problems related. Like others mentioned, I could eat off of the engine and the trunk still smells like a new car.

View 1 RepliesMy passenger side front and rear windows dont work. Both driver side windows work, just not the right side/passenger side.
Also when I press the master door lock/unlock switch on the driver seat, every door except the rear passenger door works. It stays unchanged so I guess it is not receiving a signal or something is not letting the signal reach the lock.
Having problems with the rear doors sticking? I.e. they are hard to open and close? Seems like the hinge is no good but I am not sure.
View 4 RepliesMy dad drove the RX350 to get some groceries last night and was shocked to see all the windows and moon roof was open after he came out of the store...
My guess is something was pressed against the unlock key on the remote when he was exiting the car and walk toward the supermarket entrance and triggered the all window open from remote...
Fortunately, nothing was stolen but he was shocked...I think I will have the dealer program the RX and disable this feature...
However, I was also shocked that we can only open all the windows but not close them w/ the remote...seems like a bad design...if you can open windows from the remote...you would think you can close all the windows too right??
Recently, I have had a problem with my moon-roof, this is the second time this has happened. Normally when you press the open button, the roof slides all the way open, slides all the way closed and sealed when you close it. It also opens when you remotely open all the windows. OK, for some reason it stopped doing that! You have to press and hold the open-button to open or close it, and when you close it, it won't seal right unless you tap the button just right as it closes. When you open all the windows remotely, the moonroof remains closed.
The first time it started doing this, I took it to my friend's independent Lexus service center (now defunct) and Lee did something with the button to reprogram it and the moonroof worked as before. Recently it stopped working again. I don't know if I pressed something I shouldn't have or what! I assume that there is a way to reset/reprogram the moon-roof, just like there is a way to set the doors to lock - unlock when you shift the car into drive or park? What can I do to save an expensive Lexus dealer reset? My car is 2004, Levi/navi and loaded.
We own a 2004 rx330 and a odd thing occurs on warm days. That power liftgate will not open or close with the power buttons. It will open about 2 inches and close. When completely open, the power button will not close it. Works fine on mild weather days.
View 4 RepliesWhen our 2008 Outback (75K miles) is running the garage door remote in the car will not open or close the door. New batteries in the remote, so that can't be the cause. We have to turn the car motor off, operate the remote, then start the car again. We have to follow the same procedure when getting back into the garage. This just started about a month ago and does not happen with any of the other cars in the garage when opening or closing the same door, i.e. the remotes operate with their motors running. Is it possible there is some new electrical discharge from the car that is causing this? Something unusual with the alternator? Other possible causes?
View 19 RepliesI have a 2000 Lexus RX300. The rear passenger side door randomly does not close when I click on the alarm. When this happens, the alarm does not turn on and then the rest of the alarm system starts acting up until I manually close all the doors and then turn on the alarm. After I do this, the alarm works well. My dad and I opened the door that I am always having trouble with to see if anything was loose, but it all seemed ok. Do the problem is with the door or the alarm?
View 1 RepliesNow that I have the audio upgraded in my LS, we have uncovered a slight issue with the drivers rear door. The installers will work with me, but I thought there is so much knowledge up here, why not ask.
Everything else on the vehicle works perfect, its just this one door as if all the power is off or disconnected.(ACC or ON power it functions fine) I have checked the fuses under the driver side and the ones in the trunk, they are all fine and we took the front driver door apart to make sure any connections were good. everything seems secure, we even looked over the ECU in the door to make sure it didn't seem fried or anything, all functions on front and passenger doors are perfect.
Here are the symptoms: passenger rear door light wont come on with the door open unless the ACC is on. the other 3 turn on, with or without ACC.
The door lock actuator from the outside on this door wont lock the doors or with the sensing when you approach with the fob and grab the handle (as in the lights there wont light up).
The door closer that finishes off the door being slightly open wont grab and pull it in.
The trunk lights wont come on and there is no fuse or connection issue we can see. Its puzzling.
My 04' FX4 rear door locks hesitate to open with the key fob or the door switch. I can get them to open sometimes but not every time. Why this is happening?
View 6 RepliesRecently, I noticed that the left passenger side door will not close all the way. It seems that it needs a bit of excessive force for it to close all the way when I'm closing it, otherwise it will not close properly. The other 3 doors close normal. At first I thought it was my wife that leaving the door like this until I experienced it myself. I close the other 3 doors like you would close a normal car door and they pass with flying colors. However, when I close the left passenger door, it didn't close shut. I wonder what can I do to make it close normal like the other doors. GX470 2008....
View 5 RepliesI have a problem with the rear right door on my 2006 GS300. It wont unlock no matter what I do. When I try with the key it just makes a funny whirring sound, and the inside lock switch does nothing at all. I need to take a look at the door but obviously I cannot get it open to do so.

View 8 RepliesTried all the steps as out-line on 100's of threads. When I open and close the door I do not hear the chime or buzz to tell me that that step is done and of course no chime at the 7-second mark nor at the 15 second mark.
View 3 RepliesWe just upgraded our Prius from Gen 3 to Gen 3....a 2012. Great ride, just drove it from SoCal on a Sierra Mtns road trip, a little hiking and snowboarding for our spring break. What we failed to notice upon purchase was a passenger door whose controls want work! The drivers door can lock the car and operate the passenger window and lock. However, the passenger door switch won't open or close the window, nor will it lock the door. All other doors and locks work normally.
View 1 RepliesSo, I've had the car a couple of months and things just keep getting stranger. I've been through my 2nd Airbag fault and now it's been returned from the dealer and every time I open or close the door the speakers "thump" once. I decided to remove the stereo to be sure it wasn't my IPod causing the problem and with the stereo disconnected the speakers still " thump" once when you lock or unlock the door. It's just a nuisance but I'd like to get it resolved because it will also sit in the garage and randomly thump for no reason. Another new strange occurrence is that the alarm now works, whereas before it was so quiet that it could hardly be heard. I suspect something between the door lock and alarm being the problem but the dealer is clueless. Other weird things like the seat not always moving when you put the key in the ignition , the alarm going off randomly when exiting the car are happening as well.
