Lexus RX 2004-09 :: RX400h Transmission / Engine Make Low Groaning Sound And Very Rough

Between about 20-30mph, on light throttle the engine/transmission of my 2006 RX400h makes a low groaning sound, sending a vibration through to the cabin. The engine just seems to be very rough at this speeds, like the engine is labouring. After exactly 30mph, everything is very smooth. It is also very smooth when running in EV mode at any speed.
The harshness/vibration only comes on when accelerating, so have ruled out tyres etc. The mileage is 85,000, and it has had a recent major service at a Lexus dealer. I use premium fuel.
The Lexus dealer had a look at the car for 1 hour and inspected the exhaust, engine mountings etc. but could find no faults. I went on a test drive with the service technician and he did notice the vibration.

Finally got the Tech to acknowledge the Humming/Groaning from the Engine as I sat behind the wheel at my 5000 mile service visit. His response was that the sound we were hearing ( at start-up) was "NORMAL"
The RX drives and sounds fine after that mileage, but many times my destination is less, and I feel like I am driving a reject.This has persisted since new, @ frigid and high temps; as we approach 7500 miles.

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with about 105,000 miles. The transmission (or transfer case) recently started to make a clicking sound. It usually happens in 2 wheel drive mode and gets louder as the car warms up. the clicking sound occurs in all gears except park. It also gets faster with car speed. If the car is put into 4 wheel (full time) mode the sound seems to go away or is not as audible. When you shift back in 2 wheel drive mode the clicking sound comes back.

I have a 2006 RX400h with about 110k miles on it. Recently, I noticed a rattling noise coming from what sounds like underneath the car when I'm going up hill (at or around 15-25 mph).

My 2008 RX400H will not start, with all lights coming on: VSC, Check Engine, Check Hybrid, etc. Computer notes all coils are faulting P0351 - P0356 - although this is not likely the case. Battery at 12V. Engine will chug to turn over, then fault codes appear and will cease to attempt to start, with check system appearing. Tried, jumping, changing out 3 of the 6 ignition coils. Any thoughts? Started battery charged and reading 12 volts .. but could this still be the issue?

One of the bulbs went out on our RX400H and I wanted to see if there is a way to access the fog light bulbs to change them without taking off the front bumper? Also, I heard that the fog lights are a H11 but other sources say its a 9006.

I bought a RX400h 2008 (from my dad) last week. I checked the rear fog light today, it does not work. Have some questions:
1) How many rear fog lights on 400h, only on the left side or both left and right sides?
2) My dad had never turn on the rear fog light, still it does not work, bulb or fuse problem?
3) Is it common that the rear fog light does not work?
4) Where is the fuse for the rear fog light located on the 400h?

how the bottom of the radiator of a 2008 Rx400h is attached? I have the radiator all disassembled except for whatever is holding its bottom to the car. I have a detailed pdf of how to remove a 2006's radiator, but the method of mounting shown for that year doesn't match my 2008.

My left blinker on my GX stopped working about 2 months ago. I had the tires and brakes done yesterday at Firestone. I asked them to replace the bulb for me as the blinker did not work and makes the "fast click" sound when activating it.
I was told that it is not the bulb and Firestone can't do anything about this. They believe something is loose or maybe an electrical problem?

My wife said that her keys stopped locking/unlocking doors. I checked the keys and replaced the battery just to be sure. No change. Older keys also couldn't unlock/lock the car.
Both keys can start the car and has blinking red LED flushing when any buttons pushed. Is there a "Remote" button somewhere in a car to allow remote operation?

I just purchased the car a few weeks ago. Horn doesn't work till I press about a dozen times and "get lucky".. Once it hits once I can usually beep about 4 times before losing it. I checked the fuse, looks fine. Haven't found the relay yet.
I suspect it is something in the switching/contacts/ground in the steering column. What I may need to replace in steering column?

I have a 2005 STX with the 4.6L, 4WD, AT.
The engine has started to make a loud whining sound recently. I replaced the belt and tensioner since it was original and had 93,000 miles on it. The sound is still there.
The sound increases with rpm but doesn't change when you turn the steering wheel.
The engine starts and runs smoothly with plenty of power.

I put on etc red stuff and RB front rotors a few hundred miles ago. When I brake at highway speeds the brakes make aggroaning noise. The wheel and brake pedal do nother vibrate but the cabin does a little. What can this be?

One year ago, after driving 8 or so hrs., at 108,000 mi, my 2003 Buick Rendevous started making a groaning sound which would last 15-30 seconds. When exiting the turnpike, the sound lasted nearly 1 min. The next day, the Buick dealer could find no cause but put a new serpentine belt on it which solved the problem for a few months. (I had previously replaced the serpentine belt at 96,000 mi as routine maintenance.) After a couple months, I heard the sound again and took it to my local Buick dealer who could find nothing. It was o.k. for about 6 mo. Now it groans again. My local mechanic heard it but could find no cause. It groaned almost constantly a couple days ago while I was driving in slow traffic w/the a/c on but quit when I turned the a/c off. It sometimes groans with the a/c off, especially on a turn from a stop sign. I now have 114,000 mi. The sound seems to be originating from the engine.

I took the 2004 Touareg V8 to diagnose a groaning noise and they said it was alternator related. The car is charging and running fine. They've ordered the part and said its a 10 hour job. What this could all be about? I've got about 26,000 miles on it and have not had any serious problems. The main one was replacing the battery cable about a year ago. I've had a really good vehicle and enjoy it.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS... Few months back I refueled my tank with degraded fuel (of course i did not know about it and some refueling stations in our country mix oils) and the problems started to arise with my car.. initially it all started with jerks and cracking sounds from the engine.. I then took it to the dealership and cleaned everything except the injectors but the jerking and cracking problem was solved.. but it still had a pickup problem.. whenever i tried to accelerate from 40km/h to above, the transmission seems to give a jolt make a clicking sound when downshifting.. and the acceleration compared to before has degraded.. I took it to the dealership again and their answer was drive it for 300 km more everything will b fine.. but i have driven the car for 1000 km more but the problem is not solving.. I don't know.. my warranty period is over.. in our country they only provide for 12000 km or 1 yr warranty.. now i have checked online and it seems Elantra transmission has bugged a lot of ppl..

I just noticed that starting Yesterday, the engine sound much rough, that I've never experienced. So I covered Iphone camera lens and recorded that sound with video. The sound is like that the mechanical parts are not lubricated well. I can hear clucking clucking sound.
Problem is the water pump bearing.

So I've been driving my 3GS 350 and every time i make a right turn the left wheel makes this metal shaking sound? or scraping sound? I've checked it out seems like nothings in the way but I don't know how to tell if i have a bad wheel bearing..
