Just got my RX330: passenger heated seat button lights up, but no heat. Any clues where to look to trouble shoot this seat??

View 2 RepliesI noticed the other day that my passenger side heated seat is partially not working. The seat back is heated, but not the seat bottom. The driver's seat works perfectly.
I did a test over a 10 minute time period with the car idling in the garage (door open) and the HVAC system off. I did not touch the seats during the test. I took all readings with a contact-less infrared thermometer. At the beginning of the test, each seat portion was at 14C (57F). At the end of 10 minutes, the Driver's seat bottom and back, and the passenger's back had heated up to 20-22C (68-72F), but the passenger seat bottom had cooled down to 10C (50F). This temperature was the ambient temperature outside with the garage door open.
I checked the fuse, which of course it would be alright as 3/4 of the system is working. I took a look under the defective seat, but with the amplifier there, I didnt have much room to maneuver my big hands. All of the wiring harnesses looked like they were in place.
My girl's B5 1.8T Passat (1998) has heated seats and only the passenger side one works. I guess when she first got it the driver side worked and after her older brother drove it around a few days it stopped. Fuses look to be ok, and I looked under the seat and the harnesses are all connected.
View 5 RepliesWell winter is here and the heated seat decides to not work. What could be the problem and how much it is gonna run me to get my seat toasty again?? Its a 99 passat, leather.
View 1 RepliesI've driven home from a tree nursery with a utility trailer - hazards on at about 60kph. Took me about twenty minutes to get home. It's a pretty warm day so AC was on. I turned the hazards off to signal turns and then put it back on when it was straight road.
After disconnecting the trailer and later driving to pick up the kids, I noticed the turn signals wouldn't blink but the hazards would still work. The AC would not respond, nor would any of the climate control buttons. The heated seat controls are dead and also the 12V DC outlet next to the seat switches seems to be dead. However, the airbag compressor control still functions normally, the diff lock button still works fine, the headlights and hi-beams still work as well.
I took a few minutes when I reached the first school to check through the fuse box under the hood but there wasn't anything obvious. I'm also considering just removing the negative on the battery to reset the computer. Then, there' s the window thing....
First trip with the new '14ES and the wife noticed the passenger seat heater seemed to stop working after a while. Checked the on-line owners manual and no mention of a timer there (just the steering wheel timer). Searching the ES forum did not bring up the answer either but some other models apparently have seat timers.
View 6 RepliesI have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?
View 3 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.
View 2 RepliesThe heated seat on the driver side does not work. I replaced the switch (near the center console) and checked the fuse, but it still doesn't work. The light on the switch comes on, but no heat.
View 4 RepliesIts and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.
View 4 RepliesI just bought a prius 2007.
I have a unique situation:
•No passenger: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with no seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
I have no other warning lights on the dash.
I tried to check to check if there are any loose wires/connectors under the passenger seat but everthing looks ok.
Is there a blown fuse?
...program my 2013 GS so that the seat warmers and heated steering wheel turn on when the car is first started?
I have remote start and it would be nice, if they would come on right when the car starts up.
I have a 2011 lariat with the heated leather seats, out of a sudden the passenger side stopped working. Light comes on but no heat. We did notice leading up to this it was getting extremely hot to the point it was too much heat. Fuse is good?
View 10 RepliesI have noticed that the passenger seat has a vibration that can not be felt anywhere else in the truck. You can actually see/feel it from the drivers seat when no one is sitting in it. However, you can not feel this vibration through the steering wheel, gas peddle, door panels, etc. It increases with speed with is present at low and high speeds. My thought is that perhaps the seat is loose? When sitting in it it feels like the back right wheel is out of balance but I know it isn't (recent road force balance and feeling in all other seats confirms this). Could it be I just need to tighten the seat/tracks?
View 4 RepliesLoving my new to me GX470. However shocked to realize that front passenger seat does not adjust up or down. Wife has missed this feature that all of our previous cars have had.
I have read other threads on the subject and was wondering if someone could not modify a drivers side seat mechanism to work on the drivers side. I am aware of the GPS disk etc.
Why External mirror command and seat memory don't work normally on my GX 470. Some time is work and sometime not. Maybe some fuse or relay are bad now...
View 6 Replies135 plus pound passenger with seat belt on. Was intermittent on/off with passenger but now seems always off (off light 'on' ) meaning the passenger airbag is disabled.
I know the es350 was so bad like this that there was a threat of class action. I've read the weight sensor is in the passenger seat rail and you can also do a calibration with a scan tool.
My driver seat warmer works great but the passenger isn't working. There is no damage to the seat so I am wondering if there is a fuse or something else that can cause this other than a bad warmer? How do i test it?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Tiguan. The passenger side seat warmer does not work. The driver side seat warmer works, and apparently adequately.
I know, using the multimeter, that the connection between the control module (under the driver seat) and the harness on the passenger seat is intact. However, I cannot detect any voltage coming from the control module to the passenger seat.
Looking for a wiring diagram showing the 8-pin configuration of the control module and the respective plug? I want to see if there is current coming from the seat warmer switch, but there seems to be two same-colored wires (likely representing the left and right [driver and passenger] circuit) and before I start poking around with the multimeter, I want to be sure what is what.
Also, I assume the seat warmer has a thermostat. Any guidance about determining the correct resistance?
How difficult would it be to add heated seats to a 2008 Komfort? I figure that I would get the seats and new climate control unit from a boneyard. What else would I need?
View 3 Repliesafter owning my car for a week now I've noticed a few issues.
1) Passenger seat-heating doesn't work. Is this a common issue? is there an easy fix for it? I searched but didn't come up with anything. Is there a place I can check the voltage output at?
2) The bumper alignment is off, way off. I think the previous owner hit something :/ my rear bumper is totally mis aligned. Is this an easy fix? can I just take it off and re-align it myself? Or am I going to have to buy new front and rear bumpers?
3) When I drive I have a wur wur wur like described in the other recent post. I'm not sure whether the wheels are off-balance or off-round; however I'm taking the car to belle tire soon to find out.
Just want to get the car back to 100% the previous owner didn't treat her well at all. When I got the car there was so little power-steering fluid it wasn't even reaching the dip-stick and the coolant anti-freeze level was below minimum.
