The lower 12v outlet just stopped working in my 04 RX 330. Will a single fuse controls this lower outlet as everything else is working. It is the outlet in the tray that site on the floor below the shifter. If not a single fuse then what will be the issue and what was the fix.
View 1 RepliesThe power outlet in the tray under the front console in my wife's '08 RX400h has stopped working. I checked all three power outlet fuses indicated in the owner's manual and all are good (75 and 76 in the driver's side instrument panel fuse box and number 21 in the engine compartment (type B) fuse panel). Do I need to start ripping out the tray under the front console to find the problem?

View 1 RepliesMy wifes 04 GX freaked out today. The power locks will not work unless the IGN is in the run position. It also made just the auto driver down stop working; other 3 windows still work. The VSC lights came on and the NAV stopped working all at the same time. It still runs and drives fine, but obviously, something is not right. What the common link in all of these systems might be?
View 4 RepliesI have a 06 GX470, and the lf window master switch has stopped working. The only items it will still control are the window lock, and the up and down movement of the lf window. It will not operate the other three Windows or the door locks. I did try to re-sync all of the Windows first. I know the master switch is good, since I was able to swap it with a known good one. I checked all fuses and they are also good. I removed of door panel and was going to start checking grounds and continuity between the harness from the lf master switch to the junction block.
View 6 RepliesThe heater/ac blower stopped working on my 2004 Lexus GX470. All the lights and display work but the fan doesn't work on any speed. I replaced the relay in the fuse box under the hood but no luck. I removed the blower and it works when I hot wire it to the battery. I checked the voltage coming into the blower and its at 13.5V, same as coming off the battery but it doesn't turn the fan.

View 4 RepliesMy left rear door actuator motor has stopped working and I have read about the repair of just the electric motor, BUT has anyone found the replacement of the little electric motor, Lexus wants a fortune because they want to sell you everything, cables, latches, it all comes in one bundle for 250 or so--Jeez. So hoping someone has the part number or place that we can get these little motors and just replace that!
View 3 RepliesI was using the12V power outlet to power a small air compressor to a small air tank. Had to answer a phone and forgot about it for a while. When I returned, the air compressor was not working. I figured I either blew a fuse or fried the compressor. I pulled the 12v plug from the power outlet and inserted it in the cigarette liter outlet and the compressor still worked.
I then plugged my radar detector into the 12V outlet and it did not work.So I figureed I blew a fuse. I pulled the 15 amp fuse from #54 but it looked good. To double check I swapped this fuse with the 15 amp fuse for the rear wiper and the fuse was fine.
So I am thinking the 12V power outlet socket must be bad. Isn't that why we have fuses -to protect an expensive part with a cheap one? Is this an easy DIY job?
I have a 2005 RX330 that is fully loaded (Navigation, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls). About 6 months ago almost all of the technology stopped working. The navigation ask for a repair disk. The bluetooth stopped working. The radio still works, but recently it has been spotty, like you will turn on the car and the radio will not work, and no matter how much you turn the volume up or down no sound will come on until you turn the car off and turn it back on.
View 2 RepliesI just tried to lower my passenger window, and it was completely dead. Driver's side works fine. Tried both the switch on driver's side and passenger side. Neither worked to lower passenger window.
Popped the hood and swapped out Pass & Driver's fuses. Pass side fuse is ok - ran the Driver's side ok.
Dropped the top and both windows ran down and back up ok. I'm guessing connection in driver's door(?). Maybe that switch for passenger window is bad?
the outlet in the dash is not working but the one in the arm rest is where is the fuse panel for the inside connection?

View 3 RepliesSo the 12V power outlet (the one up front by ashtray) in my MK4 Jetta is not working anymore. There was a penny stuck in there and my dumb friend tried ramming his phone charging in anyways and it sparked and now won't work even though I got the penny out. I already checked and replaced fuse 41 and it did not do anything or look blown. Now, the fuse area is looks pretty gross and I'm going to remove it and clean it, but do you think there's maybe a short or something to do with ground since it sparked like that?
View 3 RepliesThe 12 V power outlet on my 2009 Corolla has quit working. Checked the fuse and it is not blown still no adapter works when plugged into the socket. The car just turned over 36,000 so it's now out of warranty (good thing the water pump failed at 32,000). The owners manual only shows fuses in the engine compartment is a separate fuse block for the dash that could be blown or perhaps a disconnected socket or wiring problem. How to access the back of the 12 V power socket? BTW my dealer has informed me that since my cars VIN begins with J it is not affected by the gas pedal recall. Haven't seen this anywhere so thought I'd share it.
View 13 RepliesI have a 2011 Rav4, a couple of months ago I noticed I had a hard time getting one of my chargers to work. I thought it was the charger itself, so I bought a new one, that did the same thing, so I thought that maybe it was the weight of two usb cords plugged into the dual charger, then the single started doing it. Then one day I noticed a burning smell and realized it was coming from the outlet, I thought it was the charger, but when I put another charger in the next day it did the same thing. Now I can only get either of my chargers to work for a few minutes. It's still under warranty, so I'm sure I could take it in, and will do before the next long trip, but I'm just not sure what's going on...
View 12 RepliesLast week, the keyfob I had with me stopped working (no wireless functions). The light still comes on but I couldn't lock or unlock anything. I started the car thinking it might be some sort of reset thing and then turned it off. The keyfob started working again. I thought it was just a glitch until today when it happened again.
However, this time, no amount of fussing fixed it. I retrieved the second wireless fob from the safe. It too doesn't work.
Either this is a failure or the security system thinks something is up and is out of sync or something. I really don't know.
.One is around 2.7 volts. The other is 3.0 volts.
today I found out my rear door (right) powered sunshade suddenly quit working. Button does nothing, it won't go up.
