Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Low Tire Pressure Warning Light Still On After Resetting On 2008 RX350
Nov 20, 2011
2008 RX350 with 52k mile .... It's getting cold even in Atlanta. So I thought the warning light was perfectly normal..
Checked the tire pressure and was around 31psi, so pumped to 35 ish after running 10 min or so thinking it should be good enough. After driving back home, the lights are still on.
I double checked tire pressures and they are between 35 and 35.5 psi still. So I reset the warning light, and it the light won't go away. I think the owner's manual said, if it blinks for one min and stays on, then there's a problem in the sensor.
When I start, it blinks once, then stays on.
If I reset it, it blinks three times and stays on.
What I should do next? I did replace tires about a year ago at the local tire shop, but I don't think it was their fault, as I think the warning light worked fine last winter.

I love my new ride too (08 V6). I hvae a couple of questions: How can you disable your DRL? I went to the convenience page and there's no option to disable DRL (day time running lights). How can I reset the tire pressure monitor sensor. I upgraded to the 19" wheels and my TPMS settings is for 17" wheels.
I looked all over the MFD and I don't have the option to reset them. But according to the manual that came with the car I should have that option. One thing I noticed their manual is not the greatest. By the way this is my first VW.

I have a 2010 LEXUS RX350. I followed the instructions to reset the tire low pressure warning light. It blinked three times but did not stay off. I have 34psi in each tire including the spare. Can the sensors in the valves be checked to see if one of them is bad?

the indicator light is on because of the cold morning. All four tires are a few pounds low and I correct.
Back inside the vehicle, the indicator is still on! I get out to check the spare but, cannot because the valve stem is on top! And, my shirt is all dirty!
At home, I lower the spare and check/add air. Raise spare, put tools away. Now I know how to lower the spare.
Our basic Chevy vans at work let you know tire pressure in each of their four tires.

Do any of you get a low tire pressure warning light even though all the tire pressure show as being fine?
Annoying that warning light comes on and it high lights tire pressure in yellow even though the tire it high lights actually has more psi than some of the other tires.

Last night, I changed to winter wheels and drove today with no problem. Just now one the way home, the low tire pressure warning light blinked for a minute and remained on. I checked the tire pressure and all 4 tires are even at 35psi. I tightened all wheels properly at 76 ft/lb using a torque wrench.

The light came on a few days ago, so I checked tires and made sure they were all at the correct PSI. But the tire pressure warning light continues to stay on. I've read other threads about a reset switch in the first generation GX, so is there that same switch in the second generation GX? And if so, where is it? Can't find anything in the manual about it.

My is350 F sport tire pressure sensors. Well I have after market wheels with the stock tire pressure sensors, when they were first installed everything was fine, now about 2 months later now that it is a little cooler. My two back sensors are showing the warning light. it still reads the pressure and shows correct pressure but sensor warning light for both rear tires are on. Why this is? I was thinking the colder weather but why only the rear two and not the front. they go off and on but lately both have been on.

This sensor came on, I filled the tires up to 35 and it went away. A few weeks later, I decided to air the fronts to 40 and the backs to 38 PSI. The light came back on.

I've had my prius since April and the tire pressure light keeps coming on. It's been in to the dealer 5 times now and they have yet to find out what's causing it. It doesn't come on when I'm driving in town but only when I'm going out of town on a trip. I make almost monthly trips that are approximately 180 miles one way. I don't go over any mountain chains or have any large increase/decrease in temperature. I've been documenting when it comes on and it seems to be about 1 1/2 hrs into our trip but it has come on earlier also. Basically, the light will come on, start blinking for several seconds and then stay on until the car is stopped. Then it'll turn off. However, I've also had it only stay on for a few minutes before it turned off. It's never on when I take it in to be looked at.

2008 Prius touring, tire pressure warning light stays on after blinking for 1 minute. This started after changing the wheels for summer (rims and tires). Tried the reset button, no change.

I just bought new tires on my 2008 Prius. The tires are the Bridgestone Ecopia's ...
My problem is that the tire pressure light keeps coming on. I have checked the pressure individually and everything seems fine there. I have also taken it back to where I purchased the tires. They have tried to reset the TPMS sensors on each only to have the light turn back on after about 20 miles. My concern is that the sensors went bad or were damaged during installation. I asked about this and was told that the batteries on the sensors are fine. Their reasoning for making this determination was that in the reset process all sensors responded very quickly. If the batteries were going bad on the sensors, then it would have taken a long time for the sensors to read their computer. The tire guy also said that if the sensors were damaged, they would not respond at all. Since all responded, they should be okay.

The tire pressure warning light has been on in my car for about a week. The dashboard computer says that the tire pressure in the front right tire is 17 psi, but when I use the pressure gauge, the reading is almost 40 psi. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could be causing this problem?

My tire pressure light has come on - it did once before about 8 months ago. All tire (not flatruns) pressures seem fine (between 34-38 not cold). Tires were rotated by dealer not too long ago. Do I need to reset the pressure light - understand it is somewhere under driver side dash? Previously I think I added air and light went off. But this time tires don't need air.

It just came on for the second time in 6 weeks. Maybe I have a slow leak or something. Anyway, the first time we took it to the dealer to have them clear it. How to clear the light yourself?

I had this warning come on a couple of days ago on my 2008 VR6 with 46k miles on it. I wasn't surprised since the temperatures have finally dropped in Wisconsin and the car has not been driven much in the last month. I checked all the tires and they were at 30 PSI so I pumped them all up to 35 PSI, but the warning won't clear. The last time this happened a ride around the block cleared the warning.
