09 RX acquired late December 09. Now we are seeing a crack appearing on the passenger side from the storage box upwards. Car is always garaged and hardly eve in long times in sun. Is this a warranty event?
View 2 RepliesI thought I was out of the woods on this. It looked like water was coming from the HVAC, and I haven't seen any moisture up front for a while. I did find a problem leading to the wet rear cargo area; there was a small crack in the paint on the passenger side gutter, almost back by the hatch hinge area. I noticed a pinhole sized area that appeared discolored, as though water had been involved. Sealed that with some 3M Crystal Clear sealant about a month ago, and it's been dry ever since.
Last weekend, it rained heavily, and I went out the morning after it rained and checked the passenger footwell again. Bone dry, so yippee, right? Nope. I start up and when I move, I heard water sloshing, then saw a small flood run down the carpet next to the passenger kick plate. I mopped up, but what could be holding so much water that I could hear it? Is there a tray that might be clogged under the cowl on the passenger side?
There's a creak/rattle under my dash on the passenger side. I know these cars are prone to have these problems and I'm probably lucky that this is the only one with 120K on it. What it may be before I start pulling the dash apart and doing trial and error?
View 7 RepliesSo I've recently noticed a small "bubble" forming on the passenger side of my dash above the glove box. What this can be from or what could have caused it. I'm hoping that it doesn't have anything to do the with the airbag recall.
View 10 RepliesI bought the 2013 GS 350 F-sport thinking it would be a long lasting reliable car.... I've had brake squeal since day one. My car now has 45k miles on it, all miles driven with the insanely loud brake squeal. It's been to the dealership many times but they've change the brake pads only once and refused to resurface or swap the rotors. After I called Lexus corporate and filled a case, I finally got the managers attention. (1800-25lexus for those in need)
The manager tells me that the brake squeal can be caused by the drivers driving pattern. He basically said that if you don't drive hard enough or maybe even drive too hard, the rotors will glaze over and you will get squeal. -so let me get this right, I have to drive a certain way all the time so I don't get brake squeal? - Long story short, he asked me to come in again so he can see the squeal himself.
Aside from the brake squeal..
-My front and rear passenger side shocks blew out and were replaced at 20k miles.
-I've had a rattle in my passenger side dash since 10k miles that the dealer refuses to fix. They say trying to fix it will cause more rattle.
-My back up camera is now pointing too low. Every time I go in for a fix it just ends up happening again after the fix.
-My rear view mirror is loose.
I can deal with the small things but that damn brake squeal is so loud that it actually pierces my ears when I brake next to a car with my windows down.. Brake squeal has now started on my sisters 2014 is350 f-sport as well. How I can fix the brake squeal so I can sell the car?

The noise is best heard at 1:00 onwards, after everything else has stopped. I left everything else in the recording, the volume level relative to the engine etc.
I've been able to do a few mods to my car! My passenger side window is able to slide down, but not able to slide upward at all. Now it's sitting about 2/3 of the way down without any hint of upward movement.
It is a 2013 SE.
Tonight I left my wife in the car as I ran inside a store, when I returned she said the car was making a weird noise. I didn't hear it until later after we were moving, but she was hearing it sitting still, no engine idle (battery at 5 bars) but A/C was running. I am suspecting maybe it has something to do with A/C.
The noise sounds like a low grumble rubbing. She said at first she thought someone was rubbing something against the car. But it seems to be coming from the passenger side dash, like behind the top glove box.
I noticed today in my new to me 2007 that the dash is lifted a little where the airbag is on the passenger side. Should I be concerned?
View 12 RepliesTruck-2005 F-150 XLT 5.4L ... Problem - Currently when my truck reaches a speed of 45mph+ there is a methodical knocking sound that comes from the passenger side dash. This sound is on the interior and comes from the far right corner of the dashboard.(almost as if someone is tapping with there finger every other second). There is no correlation with anything else being turned on or off that affects this sound.(i.e. air) It simply happens once I reach a certain speed and is not an outside noise. When I slow back down under 45 mph the knocking subsides.
View 7 Replies2001 XLT V10.. rear passenger window would not go down so I replaced the window motor, all went well.
With the switch and window went down nicely, would not return upwards. Changed switches with the other door, no change. Went to driver door and used the master there, nothing.
Pulled the motor back out, goes only one direction. Tested the old motor, same thing just opposite direction...old motor would not bring window down, new motor will not bring window up. ok..
Now, with them out, I plugged them into the socket again and used the driver door control for the right rear passenger window...nothing at all. At the passenger door itself we have the actuator going in one direction...at the drivers door trying to make the passenger rear actuator work..nada, zip, dead.
Took the motor and plugged it into another door and both motors are working perfectly.. So..can the driver door switch be bad and upsetting the system? I truly hate electrical...this confirms my distaste..
On my 2003 GX 470 w/ 135,000 I have an issue that I can't figure out how to resolve.
The driver side lets out hot heat and the passenger side lets out cold air. I have the dual climate control and both sides are at MAX HEAT with the blower on HIGH. I have 2 vents for each the passenger and the driver.
The left side of steering wheel vent is allowing max heat. the right side of steering wheel vent lets out warm air. Not as hot as left side but warm. On the passenger side, its only letting out cold air and gets colder if I lower the temp on the climate control for right side.
Engine coolant is full, no lights on dash. Blower motor sounds like its working fine.
2006 GX470. I have an A/C issue where sometimes the driver's side is not cool at all but the passenger side is very cold. Both sides are set to the coldest setting.
The weird part is, I can usually get it to fix itself by reaching back to cycle the rear A/C on and off.
I did a search on here and found one similar thread, however it seemed his fix was replacing the expansion valve; but wouldn't a bad expansion valve cause an issue to both driver's and passenger side?
Awhile back I did get my battery replaced and I did reset my windows so they could be used from the driver side panel. As of now, I can roll down all of them from the driver side except for the passenger side rear (window diagonal from driver). The window does roll down from the door itself so the window isn't broken. The light on the driver window switch is lit green, not blinking. However, the light on the window switch on the passenger door is NOT lit and not blinking either. And yes, I did make sure the window lock was not on.
Could the switch, either passenger or driver door, be bad? Should the battery be disconnected and reconnected??
Until about a week ago, when I turned my headlights on, the icon (light bulb) appeared on the dash. Out of the blue, it doesn't. Any clue why? (High beam icon still appears).

View 6 RepliesJust bought this as a daily driver. This being my first truck and USED with over 100k in miles, I got it at a deal, but I am worried it might be a lemon. The engine is giving off 8 codes (listed below) that I pulled off my obd2 wifi scanner. This morning was a failure to start with all lights appearing on the dash. There is allot of accumulation around the terminals on the battery as well but the scanner read nothing about a faulty charge. I am trying to have my truck working soon so I can stop asking for rides ... broke down (5.4L triton straight piped )...

So I was riding with no music on--had family in from out of town--and noticed a strange noise coming from behind the dash on the driver's side. Hard to describe but almost a liquid-type noise (although not a liquid) and repetitive. Doesn't happen all of the time but happens frequently. Not loud enough to hear over music or even road noise on a highway.
Almost a swoosh, swoosh with sort of clicking. Wish I could describe it better.
My passenger side wiper stopped working. Still attached but does not move. Are there two motors? Can't figure it out...
View 2 RepliesI just noticed this happening recently. My passenger side mirror looks like it is peeling. The part that "peeled off", no longer auto dims, while the 90% of the mirror still has dimming. But it looks ugly as heck.
