I have a RX330 and recently noticed that both the RH and LH outer tail lamps bulb sockets are melted.
View 2 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 Avalon Limited. I also see that it comes with a side marker light as well. What is the bulb for the side marker light and how to replace it as well.
View 3 RepliesThe passenger side HID bulb of my 2005 RX330 need to be replaced, how to? Also there is condensed water in the assembly. I am going to replace it later. Where are other screws beside two on the top?
View 14 RepliesI can't seem to find a DIY on our generation RX to replace the fog light bulbs.
How did you do it? Under the front bumper, or pulling back the wheel well covers?
How to easily remove the old one to install new bulb?
View 11 RepliesI was wondering, what the replacement bulb for the reverse light on the 2014 is250 f sport was..
View 1 RepliesOne of my headlight is burned out and I would like to replace. I don't want to go with OEM. Looking something better and brighter. 2008 GX....
View 1 RepliesRecently my 05 RX330 had the driver side low beam bulb go out. I took it to a few places and they said take it to the dealership as they have special tools to change it. Of course I took it there and they were ready to charge me an arm and a leg to get 1 little bulb replaced. My question is do you have recommendations as to what I should do to get this fixed and not have my wallet get destroyed?
View 8 RepliesI wanted to replace the bulbs in my map light but ran into some problems. I was able to remove the first see-through plastic cover on the light. Also I was able to twist one of the bulbs out of the socket so it was loose but there didn't seem to be a way to pull the bulbs out of their metal holders. I tried with medium to light pressure on the right side bulb and it slipped from my fingers and jumped back into the area on the other side of the metal holders. Now I can't see it or reach it. What do I need to remove to retrieve the bulb and how do I remove it?
View 6 RepliesSo I finally figured out how to get the puddle lights out of my factory tow mirrors. I want to replace the bulbs with LEDs.
But how do I take this apart? Looks like the clear plastic lens is superglued.
How to change out the bulb(s) for the overhead console map lights. The lights that you push on / off. Since the owners manual doesn't cover bulb replacemnet for that.
View 14 RepliesI just replaced a burnt out tail/brake lightbulb and found that I had sockets for 5 lights yet only 3 were filled....two were empty. How could this have happened and shouldnt they all be filled? I replaced the blown one but I feel like I should get 2 more per side to make it a full housing. I also am not certain what kind I need . The turn signal bulbs are fine....it's just the tail/brake light bulbs. Why were they not filled? 2002 V6 Passat.
View 7 RepliesPassenger tail light bulb went out who knows when, but was alerted about it today. Every other time this has happened, in multiple vehicles, the turn signal blinks rapidly to let you know the bulb is out. Mine blinked normally.
In the past year I've had to change my multi function switch and more recently the flasher relay for the blinkers. Just a standard relay from the parts store, not the heavy duty one or anything. It did say it was LED compatible, so I wonder if that is why it didn't pick it up? Why I didn't get the rapid blinking?
This may be related to some posts I've studied but I'm still at a loss. My wife observed moisture inside one of the tail lights on her 2006 RX330. Upon further inspection, I noticed water standing in the lower section inside the outer cover over an inch high. After reviewing all of the posts about bugs in them, moisture in them, how to remove them, and whether the outside cover can be removed, I pulled it out looking for any cracks, etc to figure out how that much water is getting in since it hasn't been wet in over a week at least and no downpours, major things like a car wash...nothing. I'm still at a loss. I know that I could rotate it carefully 360 degrees without water escaping which meant the out cover was still sealed pretty good. I then rotated it to flat and the water poured out thru the electrical circuit board/bulb area. Could this be related to the same cause behind the headlight pseudo recall/replacement? Which way to go as I can find no signs of how the water got there.
View 2 RepliesI need to replace one of the tailights on my wife's '06 RX330. It's one of the inboard tailights that, along with a backup light, is contained in a module in the rear liftgate.
How to remove the module for access to the lights? I see a screw/nut that apparently must be removed first, but after removing it, I couldn't tell whether module pulled straight out (or forward when the liftgate is closed), if it pulled to the side of the car, or if there's another fastener I missed. I don't want to pull the wrong way and break something......
The light bulb just above the interior door handle in the front passenger door is blown on my GX. I'd like to replace it, but I'm not sure how to get access to the bulb.
View 12 RepliesIs there a way to get the tail lights to come on automatically with the driving light?
View 13 RepliesWas replacing 168 bulbs tonight with led bulbs. Trunk went fine. I got a warm color that's a little whiter than stock and about twice as bright but 1/5th the power. I measured 49 ma vs 247 ma for the stock bulb. Then I went to replace the passenger door bulb. Put the led one in and it flickered on and off a few times and then went out. Figured it was a flaky loose connection. Check the contact and put the old bulb back in. Nothing. Checked the voltage at the connector. Nothing there either.
The fuse that controls that bulb has a bunch of other stuff on the same fuse which all still works, so unless there's a hidden fuse inside the door, then there's a wiring problem that just magically appeared now. I don't think there's a fancy controller. This light doesn't fade up or down and is not on a timer. It's directly controlled by the door switch and is instant on or off.
One of the small bulbs in the corner of the headlight assembly is burned out. does any one know how to replace it?
View 1 RepliesJust notice that the interior door handle light up amber color at night. Need to modify this bulb on the door handle enclosure? Any complications removing the door panel or other parts to access the bulb? Last of all, what type of bulb?
