Does the 2008 rx model have a usb connection/port? My mother recently purchased a 2011 and they have a great usb port in the middle console. I didnt see one on my 2008 (with navigation).

View 2 RepliesMy truck trailer connection has no power to the + pin, called the Trailer Tow Battery Charge. I traced back to the fuses and relays and discovered the relay missing. Unbelievably Ford is having a hard time with this relay. They don't seem to be sure which one it is. My owner's manual says it is a Full ISO relay. But Ford doesn't like that description.
What can I use there? Is there any after market relay available that would fit. Napa said they don't have anything listed, and O'Reilly and Autozone look at me with a stupid expression. I also need one for the starter relay. Mine was replaced with a anti theft device that has a remote control. I want that removed so I need the realy.
All the relays appear to be the same. I plugged in the blower motor relay in the trailer tow charge position and got power to the + pin. But I need the blower motor. The Ford guy said that it might be the right one, but he couldn't be certain and if I plug it in and it doesn't work it's my loss.
This is for the 2006 F-150, 4.6l truck.
I recently purchased a used 2004 GX470.
Everything on the Info/Nav Center screen seems to work, at least as far as I know so far, except when I push the "Climate" button, I get the blank screen with the exception of the "Check the connection of the air conditioner" message.
When I got it, the A/C wasn't working, but it was trying. Today I added gas to the system (it was a bit low) and cleaned the cabin air filter (disgustingly dirty, with next to no air movement through it). Now A/C is there! (it is 100+ today!)
To get around the missing climate control screen (and what I assume are controls thereon) I turn on the recirculation button and also the "auto" button, and raise or lower the temperature controls. Heat works when I turn the temp up, A/C tries when I turn it down. But I still get the message on the control screen.
I assume that the control screen for "climate" also includes some widgets for controlling and/or setting options, such as (hopefully) just running the fan without A/C with external air (should I so desire on a cooler day) and stuff like that.
I have seen others fix the similar problems by reconnecting some clips behind the screen, which I can certainly try out, but seems like the other similar problems, when the issue was a wire loom connector behind the screen, that they had other problems, such as the A/C not working.
I THINK all my systems are working, I just can't see the climate control screen. All the other systems (audio, settings, maps (different subject later *L*), etc. all work and seem to display OK, so I don't think it's the screen.
I have a 2004 rx330 and it's recently been acting up. Sometimes the heat and air won't work, there is a noticeable difference in the way the car drives too.
I hit climate and it shows check air conditioner connection line and nothing works, it's making for very cold drives to and from work.
Plugging a multiple USB port into the single USB port? Does it work? For example a plugging a USB drive and an IPod?
View 4 RepliesYesterday, I went to charge a friend's GPS in my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I discovered that a dime was stuck in the charging port (but why, by the way). I had to use a pen to carefully get the dime out, but in the process, I shorted out the car radio/CD player, clock, and the charging port. Everything else electrical works. How can I fix this problem?
View 1 RepliesThe Bluetooth audio works fine w/ Enform for apps like Pandora when my iPhone is not plugged into the USB port on the car. However, when the phone is plugged into the USB port (so that I can charge it) the Bluetooth audio cannot be heard. The car looks to still be receiving data from the phone, as the song & album info appear on the display but there is no sound.
Wondering if when the iPhone is plugged into USB port it "mounts" the phone as a drive (for the media player) and therefore shuts down the audio portion of Bluetooth?
I just purchased a 2008 F-350 and I am trying to get my "line in" plug to connect to my iPhone. When I connect everything my radio says no connection to auxiliary. I am wondering if the plug is bad? And where could I find this plug? Figuring the name out to search is another ???

View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 LS 460. Bluetooth connects fine to my phone and works great for few minutes. Bluetooth disconnects and I get a message to the meaning that Emergency calls terminates the bluetooth connection. Mind you that I did not touch anything nor have I made any emergency calls to cause this. I have to shut off the car and started it again to reconnect which again only lasts few minutes.

View 2 RepliesI have a ES350 and it is doing the issue of having warm air (or not cooled air) on the driver side, but has cold air on the passenger side. I looked around and saw it was a common problem. One of the solutions I read was to just refill the system with R134A. Not a problem for me, except I don't know where the low pressure port is located in my car. I was trying to find a online service repair manual on my car to locate where I need to connect to, to recharge the system.

View 3 Replies I've been driving Lexus since 1995. My new GS is a 2008 model (with a President pack according to local French definition). I use windows phones (Lumia series) and I can easily connect these phones for conversations while driving over BT. But when I try to transfer my contact data to the car, the BT connection fails and when I stop this transfer, the BT connection comes alive again.
I only have/use windows phone (windows 10 and windows 8.1). any hint where I could look to to solve this problem ?
another question related to this : can I stream audio from my phone to the Mark Levinson system via BT ? apparently it does not work with my windows phones .
I have an iPhone 4S that connects to the car fine. The problem is that it randomly drops bluetooth during a call. It does repair after random periods of time. My only guess is the phone because the iPhone 4 I just traded in never had this issue. I have tried deleting the pairing from both the car and phone without any luck.

View 4 RepliesSo I have an 04 grand prix. Every morning I get to my car and it won't start. The lights work. Locks. Etc. I have to put it on the charger for awhile to get it to start. Sooo could it possibly be a bad connection to the starter or is something just draining my battery enough to make it not start? I just had a lot of after market wiring removed and it didn't do this until it got cold out.
View 5 RepliesMy wife and I purchased a 2008 GX with 60K miles. The day we left the dealer we noticed a vibration at 70-80. We were recommended two tires which we had installed that day but that did not fix the problem. Those were Bridgestone tires. When I took it back in they told me that they were the Toyota version not Lexus and recommended I purchase two more but suggested I switch to Cooper as they said they were better tires.
I took the vehicle in to my friendly local Lexus dealer and informed them of the problem. They kept it for a couple days, performed a bulletin with the drive shaft. The vibration was still present so they said that one of the new tires had a sidewall stiffness of 37, which signifies a bad tire. They stated they went over the vehicle and they could not find any issue except for the tires.
