Having issue on RC where the door panel speakers cause a vibrating / buzzing noise within the door panel at certain frequencies? I'm not talking loud either. It is intermittent. If a put the slightest bit of pressure on the panel, the noise disappears. Sounds to me like the sound waves are causing a wire or something small to vibrate within the door panel. The speaker itself it fine.
View 12 RepliesWe all know the front door speakers on these are horrible. I am changing them out all the time under warranty for being blown. In doing so I decided it was time for a video on how to remove the door panel without damage to get at the speakers and swap in aftermarket etc.

I have a 2010 gen III with the upgraded audio system and I am getting a vibration coming from the right door speaker when there is a heavy base sound. The dealer replaced the speaker and the vibration is still there, this makes me think it is not the speaker but a part in the door panel that is vibrating. How difficult is the door panel to remove in order to determine where the problem may be?
View 4 RepliesHave been to dealer multiple times with concerns about speaker vibration from rear passenger door and rattle when going over rough spots from same general area. They end up saying they have not heard anything and I end up feeling like I am losing my mind. Does seem to be worse some times than others. Last weekend I opened the door and tapped the area around the base speaker. Lo and behold, sounds like there is something loose in there. Seems like it is moving around freely at times and may be caught somewhere and thus quiet at other times. What might be in there? Any easy way of getting at it on my own?
View 24 RepliesI've had 2 Priuses 2010 lose the oil change door from the main protective panel under the car. Many have posted about this design flaw. My question is: Does the 2015 Prius also have this potential problem? I remember reading forum posts about the TSB regarding this issue on the 2010 which I was too late to take advantage of. I would rather address this now before my warranty expires on my 2015.
View 8 RepliesDriver's side isn't putting out any bass at all. Passenger side isn't sounding good either.
Since I don't know if the speaker is dead, or if the amp channel is dead, I'm going to order just one speaker at first and replace the driver's side. If it starts working I'll either repair the foam on the passenger side (most likely thing wrong with it) or order another speaker. If it doesn't start working, the replacement will go in the passenger door, and I'll consider if it's worth getting the Mark Levinson amp repaired.
I used the Autosound 2000 disc 105 Track 24 to check this. Put that track on repeat, then use the balance/fader controls to target individual channels. Track 25 will test the mid-bass speaker found in the front doors, then Track 26 for the tweeter.

Just purchased a new 2015 and it came with the cargo net option. The net stores in a bag that is anchored to the rear trunk wall. When I try to access the spare tire I can't lift the floor panel that covers the well. The cargo bag overlaps the solid floor panel and won't let it lift. I tried removing the net from the bag to make the bag more flexible but it still blocks any attempt to lift the trunk floor panel.
There must be a way to do this and I'm just too dumb to see it right now. I was able to finally lift the panel with a combination of tucking, twisting, and cursing my way through it. Surely I'm overlooking something obvious?
If the cargo net bag would just unclip then the problem would be solved. But it appears to be screwed into place.
running aftermarket speaker wires through the door boots? I tried attaching the wire to a cable but the boot is so narrow that only the cable comes out of the other end.
I think the kicker cable im using is thicker than the normal 16 awg so it doesn't work either.
I have the standard Audio (not Mark Levison) and want a little more mid and highs out of the side door speakers. I've already maxed out the audio settings for treble and the dash speakers are doing their job to my taste. I just think the side speakers can do just a bit more.
I don't want to replace the head unit, ad additional amplification, equalizer, nor any custom fabrication, at least just not yet. Thought starting with the door speakers would be a 1st step.
I'm presuming the FRONT door speakers are 6 1/2" (at least the mounting holes) so a common 6 1/2" aftermarket speaker would work. Just swap out. Correct? I'm thinking of something like the Infinity 6502ix co-axials with adjustable tweeters for all four doors.
How to remove the door speaker grills on a 3rd Gen IS or a 4th Gen GS350 (without removing the door panels)? They appear to have the same 7" black plastic grill between IS and GS model.
I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.

I took a 64 mile round trip drive yesterday with the audio between 16-22 volume and there's definite rattling coming from the right passenger side door.
This was through the Satellite Radio Feed. It wasn't all the songs but any songs with the extended drawn out bass you can here it rattle.
I'm about 115 miles in and will most likely take it in this week. There's nothing in the side door compartment...
i have been searching forums and cant find nothing with this exact problem. i have been having a problem with my ML stereo system, i have a 2007 Lexus Ls460L, like a week ago my driver side door speaker was going in and out then it just cut out completely, 3 days later all my door speakers and sub went out but all my highs are still on playing normal i see post saying the amps go bad but everyone says a chirping noise or no sound but i have sound but only in for my highs i have no bass at all.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Lexus GS 350 with the Mark Levinson audio system. I am starting to hear a sound from the passenger side door speaker like a rattling when there is low bass in a song. I wanted to know much it should cost me to have all the speakers replaced to higher quality ones.
I don't need crazy bass that will make my windows shatter, however currently these speakers feel like if I put any hip hop or dubstep on more speakers will blow. I do NOT want to have to cut any part of my car to install new speakers, I am not comfortable with someone cutting holes or making bigger holes to fix the new speakers.
Getting excessive vibration coming from the top of the glove box panel and also from the passenger seat? I took it to the dealer because it was making a vibration noise, but they fixed the noise, but the vibration continues. What it might be?

Bumpy roads, snow covered roads, pretty much any road surface that isn't perfect, this piece of trip vibrates and makes a squeaking noise. I've attached a picture and put a circle where the noise is coming from. If I hold that part with my hand, the noise stops. It's very annoying since it's right next to my ear!
View 6 RepliesI've got a 2012 F250 SD and when i go over some bumps in the road or even down a gravel road, the door panel on the driver side vibrates and it's noisy. Is there any way to pull the panel and add some foam padding or something to stop this? I can see the panel vibrate or heck, maybe it the whole door.
View 10 RepliesMy '03 driver's side door has been opened enough, and unfortunately with force when it catches a wind gust or opens downhill, etc, that it's actually resulted in a lengthening crack in the middle of the inside door panel. There are two hinges that are fine, which actually keep the door attached to the car frame.
In between, on the higher side of the inside of the door, there's a 'stopper' bolted to the door, with a bracket 'inside' the door. That's where the force of the door opening is applied to the door itself, and where the crack has appeared. It's already a good 4-6 inches long, and presumably will keep going.
In my head, the options seem to be:
-wait for the stopper to fully rip a piece of the door off, at which point the door will open all the way into the car itself.
-attempt a small scale weld 'in place' with a small overlay strip across the crack.
-pull the door all the way apart to where the welder felt more comfortable doing a solid repair job.
-find a replacement door altogether.
I just bought a 2010 RX450h and it is in overall great condition. The leather is damage though on the Rear Driver side door panel, so I am trying to remove it and get it repaired. I have removed 3 screws :
-one behind the door open/close latch
-one under the wood/window switch
-one in the handle area to pull door and close
I am now trying to take the panel off and have the bottom part pulled off. But I can't seem to pry open the top part... Am I missing something or a screw? Is there some trick? I am scared to break it.
I've amassed almost 3700miles in my 14 gs350f thus far and really enjoy the car. One problem I've had for the past 1000miles or so is the drivers door control cluster for the window switches etc., not the black part but the actual panel the buttons are hooked into buzzes and wiggles and up down maby 2mm. I swear, it buzzes like a beehive that's on FIRE when the radio is on. I've been resting my hand on it for a while but enough is enough, how do I get that panel out so I can stick some really thin foam in there to stop it?
