Just picked up brand new LX570 a few days ago, however I could not turn off the front air conditioning even though have tried so many times of pressing the A/C icon on the screen.
View 6 RepliesI'm four weeks into my 2010 LX570. From first day, I've had vibration/shaking at all speeds--the shaking/vibration is not in the steering wheel like a few others have described. The vibration/shaking is similar to what one experiences going over a railroad track in a small/lightweight vehicle, except it happens on all types of roads and at all speeds.
Two trips to two different tire installers and one trip to Toyota (the closest Lexus dealer is a couple hours for me) to speak with their Lexus-certified mechanic and it was chalked up to the Dunlop tires. The Dunlops had excessive road force (three were between 28 and 45). Three separate sessions with Lexus Customer Relations, and nearly two weeks with Lexus of Orlando (they were extraordinary, even though I did not purchase from them), all four tires were replaced with Michelins, road force balanced to less than 8 each, and the vehicle extensively tested. They bent over backwards and were exceptional. While the problem has been minimized, I still feel the vibration/shake.
I'm coming out of years with several Range Rovers, but every other vehicle I have does not vibrate/shake, from my Tundra on up. I just spent two weeks in an ES300 and it was rock solid, at half the weight and half the cost. Additionally, none of my Land Cruisers (previous generation to the current) were anything like this. The LX is a great vehicle, but the vibration/shake is a real issue.
I have a lx570 2013. I bought Doug Thotley's Longtube Headers. I haven't install yet, But I am about to.
I need to get my self a set of mid pipes that would hook directly my Doug Thorley's LongTube Headers and into the oem cat back.

Also, a friend of mine of mine has a LX570 with JBA long Tube Headers (Titanium), He also wants a set of mid pipes to fit directly to his Jba long tube and into his oem cat-back.
My horn fuse on my 2011 LX 570 keeps blowing after first use of horn. What could be causing it?
View 3 RepliesHaving problems with my rear power liftgate on my 2011 LX570.. When it is open if I press the close button on the rear door it closes then beeps twice and opens up again. Every thing is clear by the door jam and all of the pieces look fine (nothing bent). When I close the door manually I can hear the lock cycle so that is engaging.
This feels like an electronic problem. The button on the dash and on the key fob only work intermittently to open the door and neither will close it. Yes the rear door off button is not engaged either.
I just purchased a brand new 2016 LX 570 two weeks ago. It is a beautiful car and I love all the new technology but I am concerned about the transmission gear change between 2nd and 3rd. The car hesitates and vibrates when shifting between second and third gear then levels out. It a little slow and scary pulling out in traffic without just punching it. This is my first LX and just found out that the LX transmission went from 6 speed to 8 on the 2016 model. I called the dealership and they said the car is very new and they have not gotten any reports from Lexus about the transmission hesitating. Taking it in next week for service and have it checked out.

View 4 RepliesEvery morning when I start my LX570 it starts with the idle higher that normal and then after 1 or two minutes is settles.
Along with the higher idle there is a little extra noise from the engine, after 2 minutes the noise goes away and all normal.
Is this the way they start in the morning?
I have a question about the front seats in the GTI/Golf. I'm looking to purchase a 2010 3-door Candy White DSG GTI, and am super pumped! The front seats, when slid forward to access the rear seats, don't lock in the forward position? It seems like they should, I know they lock in the forward position on a friends 2008 Golf. Neither seat locks, which makes me think that they don't and I didn't have the owners manual to check. With all the thoughtfulness of VW, I'm guessing that I'm missing something, or the seats are screwed.

View 3 RepliesI've driven home from a tree nursery with a utility trailer - hazards on at about 60kph. Took me about twenty minutes to get home. It's a pretty warm day so AC was on. I turned the hazards off to signal turns and then put it back on when it was straight road.
After disconnecting the trailer and later driving to pick up the kids, I noticed the turn signals wouldn't blink but the hazards would still work. The AC would not respond, nor would any of the climate control buttons. The heated seat controls are dead and also the 12V DC outlet next to the seat switches seems to be dead. However, the airbag compressor control still functions normally, the diff lock button still works fine, the headlights and hi-beams still work as well.
I took a few minutes when I reached the first school to check through the fuse box under the hood but there wasn't anything obvious. I'm also considering just removing the negative on the battery to reset the computer. Then, there' s the window thing....
I took this picture from the rear seat while leaning over the front seats. The two white arrows indicate where our front seats are rubbing the center console while we are seated. The rubbing makes a noise and will eventually leave a wear mark on the leather, the console or both. Any way to quiet the noise and to cushion the contact between the leather and the center console?
I'm looking for a product that is safe for leather that will decrease friction in this area so that the rubbing won't cause noise or leave wear marks on the leather. I'm only interested in treating the area of the seat that contacts the console so as not to change the overall appearance of the leather. Alternatively, I could treat the center console with a product that will make it more slippery.
Removing the back seat to allow the front seats to be reclined more? at 6'4'' I need more leg room! Or any other way on getting more leg room in the front seats?

Coming back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....

View 11 RepliesSo I've wanted to post this here for awhile now but kept forgetting. I assume this is how all the Elantras are but I wanted to know for sure. So basically when people in the back seats turn on their seat warmers, and the car gets turned off. They turn back on automatically when the car is turned on. I guess because it's a push button and the button is still engaged when car is turned on again. What a dumb design! I do try and remind my passengers to kindly turn them off, but they often times forget, including myself. I'm just afraid the seat warmers are gonna wear out quicker if they get left on and I don't realize till a certain amount of time later. So is the case for everyone? Just don't understand the design behind it when the front seats turn off automatically but not the back. Wish there was a way to change this.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2015 forester & the seats are not wide enough so my right leg rests on the front corner of the seat & after driving 70 miles my legs & back are hurting. I think the outback has seats 2 inches wider , that could work.
