My right front headlight works sometimes and other times it doesn't. Sometimes when I get out of my car, I notice the right headlight is out before the lights go off automatically. Other times, both lights are on when I get out of the car. What could be causing this?
View 4 RepliesThe right front headlight sometimes doesn't work on our Lexus. One time my wife was driving home after dark and it didn't work. When she got home I tried it and it worked fine. A couple days ago she was pulled over by the police because the same headlight was out. Once again when I went to try it, it was fine. What might be the problem. Loose connection or wiring?? By the way... I have been reading about the windows popping out and the clips breaking. Same thing happened at around 60,000 miles to the right side, with no tint.
View 14 RepliesMy front passenger headlight seems to go out after starting and driving for a little. I just replaced the bulbs a few weeks ago and it just happened again. I did notice that the one headlight does flicker after turning on. After looking at the headlight it does appear that some moisture had gotten inside the housing. I don't want to take apart the headlight and reseal it and still have the same problem. Does the ballest need to be replaced also or does something have to be cleaned?

how to replace my head light, on the passenger side.
On my 2007 SC 430 I have a passenger headlight that appears to have a mind of its own. It works intermittently. I know that it is programmed to go off when the car is in park, but that is not what I'm talking about. When I start the car after dark both sides will be on but at some point the passenger side will go out, not all the time, but quite often. I have checked for loos wires but have not found any.
View 4 RepliesI just bought a very nice Lexus 2007 with a extend warranty from Toyota. This car is a dream to drive but one problem I have encountered, how to fix is the Climate control feature.
Sometimes my unit works properly then it stops responding. The problem I'm having is that the climate control button when pressed wont stay on the control setting on the Nav screen and goes back to the radio station screen.
I also can't control the temp up or down on either driver or passenger side. The only way it works is by using voice commands. I can't turn it off at all. I m going to take to the dealer but they said they never heard so a thing. But I showed the dealer today and he said there is a problem.
Most of the times the headlights on my 08 works fine but sometimes one of them won't turn on. It happens to both sides and is happening more often now. Wondering if this is a sign of bulb going bad or the battery...
View 3 RepliesI noticed that driving my LS last weekend that the right headlight was fluttering going down the road. It did not go off but it looked like a loose connection. When I arrived at the golf course, someone told me that he noticed that the right headlight was out. Now I got home and I have checked the headlight and nothing seams to be a problem. Both low beam and high beams go off and on with no problem. My question is : is the headlight bulb going out or do I have a connection problem? I hate to take off the tire and inner wheel cover to change the bulb unless I need to. Second question: If I have to change the bulb what is the best brand to use?

Recently discovered condensation in my front passenger headlight. The Lexus dealership initially scheduled me for a repair and indicated that my Platinum extended warranty would cover it. However, later received a call and indicated that it would not.
I see that a class-action lawsuit was filed for a similar issue with the 2nd generation (2004 to 2009) Rx series and recalls were eventually sent out.
I do not want the condensation to progress and short circuit my headlamp.
I keep getting a warning that my right front headlight is out when it is working just fine. I will turn the car off and when I turn it on again the warning is gone. It's weird that it will show up then disappear for a week and then pop up again. If the light was going out I'd understand but the light has been fine the whole time.
View 1 RepliesI just purchased the car a few weeks ago. Horn doesn't work till I press about a dozen times and "get lucky".. Once it hits once I can usually beep about 4 times before losing it. I checked the fuse, looks fine. Haven't found the relay yet.
I suspect it is something in the switching/contacts/ground in the steering column. What I may need to replace in steering column?
What's up Lexus enthusiasts and fellow owners I own a 08 LS. Today I noticed that my driver side headlight goes out , I turn it off and turned it back on and it's good to go but after a minute it turns off. This could be a bad ballast . How to change a ballast or headlight bulb in an LS before? Is there a link that I can go to and check it out ? Or this is one of those that the bumper has to come off .

View 4 RepliesI must be missing something does this make sense to me. Headlight switch is on auto. If I go into the nav unit to vehicle settings. I find the headlight timer settings. If I set it to 30 sec. the headlights turn off when I shut off the car and then wait 30 seconds.
But if I set it to OFF and then turn off the car the headlights should turn off. Instead they stay on, and from what I can tell never turn off. I waited 5 minutes before I gave up and changed the setting back.
To me OFF should mean there is no delayed timer and the lights just come on when it is dark and off in daylight. Of course with the car started and the headlight switch still on auto.
I have a question. When I turn my car on the passenger head light comes on, but when i start driving it goes out the low beam.

View 14 RepliesMy '06 Pontiac Vibe sometimes has one headlight out. When it's on as a daytime light, or on normally, the right headlight is not working. As a high-beam, it comes back on. It did this for a few days, then came back to normal after I hit a hard bump. Now it's back out again. It sure sounds like a loose wire to me, but I can't find it by jiggling wires behind the light assembly.

Are the headlight bulbs in the 2007 SC regular light bulbs that I can purchase at a local automotive store?
One of the small bulbs in the corner of the headlight assembly is burned out. does any one know how to replace it?
