I have an 09 ls 460l with stock suspension and 22's. My rear suspension will hit the top of the fender over dips and bumps with rear passengers in the car. I have 285/25/22 on the rear.

View 14 RepliesFeels like the front suspension is blown in the front of my car and i got an alignment not too long ago and the sides are feathering already. spoke to couple of my friends and we have confirmed that the front is blown and also when i drive i see the front bouncing when i go over bumps. I just want to ask the people who did remove their stock suspension and see what brand they are.
View 8 RepliesWhen I drive over quick choppy bumps in pavement I get a rattle in the rear of the suspension, but only when the bump is on one side. When the bump is long and activates both rear wheels, like a speed bump or a large road crack I don't get the rattle.
The sound seems to be worse on the right side and I can't really figure it out. Anything specific I should look out for?
I have a 2009 460 awd with adjustable suspension and when making a right turn the front left side makes a noise. I have had the dealer look at it 5 times or more but each time I am told that there are no problems. Now that the weather is getting colder it is becoming more pronounced.
View 7 RepliesI'm having some rubbing issues on the rear driver side after installing 19" vossens. I'm lowered on S-techs. The bump stops were cut per instructions. I'm wondering if I replace the cut bump stops with new ones, could this minimize the rubbing by limiting the suspension travel?
I'm only rubbing on dips and when the car is weighed down. My other option would be replace the teins with RSR down's along with new bump stops.
For several months there has been a rumble from the rear like suspension is faulty but inspection of strut and other parts showed no obvious issues. 60,000 miles one owner.
View 8 RepliesThe rear suspension on my 2013 F Sport AWD with 27,000 miles has started to squeak slightly. It doesn't do it all the time but is audible from within the car even with the stereo at low volume. When the road is smooth it's quiet but it'll squeak on even slightly uneven pavement.
Of course the F Sport has air suspension. I haven't experimented with the different ride settings or height adjustment yet but it is audible in Normal mode.
I have an 08 LS base model, and recently while driving I'll hear a knocking noise coming from the rear suspension. This is every time I'll go I'll go over a bump. The knock is the same as when I had my 03 Acura TL .
View 6 RepliesMy question today has to deal with my squeaking car. Only mods I have done to my suspension would be Lowered on Progress springs and added there rear sway bar. After about a year my car started to squeak when going over speed bumps or certain dips BUT ONLY THE REAR. I have tracked the problem down to my rear sway bar. What is the fix for this? Ive read in other forums (mainly civic teggys etc) that the bushing might be worn? What is my recommended next step?
View 1 RepliesJust came back from a ride and since it's getting pretty warm here I decided to drive with open windows. At low speed I noticed a unusual squeak coming from the rear passenger wheel when I got over small potholes. This part of the car seems to shake really fast a few time before settling. I can also hear a drum like vibration in the car coming from that corner. I can feel an unusual bounce which take time to settle when it happen. I'm no expert but from what I read the usual suspect should be either a defective shock of broken control arm ? I'll get a nearby garage to take a look next week. Gotta admit, like some members pointed out, I'm surprised to see those kind of issues on a car which didn't even broke the 45000 miles mark yet... And that's for a car that I take really good care of and not used as a daily driver.

View 6 Repliesit's strange, it feels like something is loose, not the steering wheel but the column that the steering wheel attaches to, this only happens when going over dips or bumps, any time the wheels take impact.
View 82 RepliesI've had a clinking sound at the front of my car when driving over sharp bumps like seams or cracks ever since about 6k miles. I only notice it with the windows down. I used to think that it was the coils on my Nuespeed sport springs hitting each other, but after I got coilovers and the noise didn't change I was sure that it wasn't the springs. When talking to my mechanic on the phone he suggested that I see if the problem goes away if I apply the brakes when driving over something that causes the noise, and sure enough the noise isn't there when braking.

View 14 RepliesI bout a 2010 AWD LS460 in July and immediately noticed noises coming from the rear and front. The rear was a loud thud going over certain bumps and the front is making rattling noises. I lowered the windows and went down a rather bumpy block and the car sound like the bottom is falling out. I took it to the dealer and they had it for 2 and 1/2 weeks waiting on the rear air shocks to come in. They gave it back to me and did not address the front. Now the service manager is going away for two weeks and wants me to come back if I still feel the need to have the from done. The master tech stated the front left suspension needs replacing. I feel they are trying to drag this out so they dont have to pay for the repairs. The car has 80K and was bought from Bay Ridge Lexus and is not under CPO.

Started around 3K [advised dealer and got it into computer] now at 18K more frequent and pronounced. Annoying and slightly embarrassing - had Hyundai-owning friends in car yesterday - their Santa Fe is very quiet.
View 14 RepliesI'm new to vw and I have a passat 3.6 sel premium and I have been hearing a noise coming from my rear suspension when I have a full car or going over speed bumps and such. It took it to the dealer and they said that they couldn't replicate the problem, could it be the control arms or it's bushings? The car is only 6 months old smh.
View 8 RepliesI'm in the market for an '09 Sonata 4cyl. I found a good looking one at a local Toyota dealership (supposed trade in). Unfortunately, the dealer claims there are no service records available...test drove it and heard noise coming from rear suspension when going over speed bumps. Dealer had tech look into it and said they lubed up the 'springs' and stabilizer/sway bar and now the noise is gone. Should I run away or take this thing in for an independent inspection, and if it checks out, buy it without the service records?
