I have 2009ls AWD. If I have my radio on, and the GPS announces turning directions, both the radio and the GPS audio are on. This can be very confusing, and dangerous. Is this normal? Is there a fix?
View 2 RepliesEvery time I turn on the radio, or even change the volume, it starts to play a random song in iTunes from my Bluetooth paired iphone. Even if I stop it, and close the app in my phone, if I alter any input on the radio, it begins to play the song on it's own. I've tried to alter settings in the phone (nothing actually applies) and I can't seem to find anything other than disconnecting the phone that will stop it. I do want to have both the phone and music usable..any hints?

Experienced the radio turning on and off for no reason. It does not matter what mode it is on the radio will shut off completely and turn back on a few seconds later. What is the cause and what was done to solve the problem. Btw it is not a Mark Levinson.
View 2 RepliesMy 2007 GX470 after always working perfectly, is now not putting out any audio from radio, CD, nav. When you start the car, you hear a pop sound. Should I assume it is the amp? Went to Car Toys and manager who was shorthanded suggested he try resetting the radio, but out how to reset it, it that is possible.
View 4 RepliesI started having an issue with my lexus ls460 2007, the radio works good, but sometimes the sound doesn't come out, in other words even on max volume I can hear almost anything, a clicking sound comes out with this problem, the thing is (hands free) works perfect, navi guidance works amazing, except all radio sounds including AUX gives out lil sound which I can't hear.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2007 bottle fed EX 350. I am installing XM into it. SAT/AM button scrolls thru SAT 1 2 3. Display sometimes shows 184 or 255. Occasionally is says Radio Err, It has displayed "radio id" with nothing else, And I managed to get it to display a cryptic looking F W1 4 30 .

Cannot tune to ch0 as there is no XM preview going on.
The footwell lights come on when i open the door to get into the car and then go off after a short period of time. However, they will stay on all the time after the car is started. Is that normal? Can they be turned off when the engine is running? The manual is no support.
View 5 RepliesToday as I was driving on the freeway my radio randomly shut down and turned back on. it was a complete power down as if I was turning the car on. I believe I seen the dash also do a system check. I also think I felt the power steering turn on and off for a split second. very odd. I almost feel the entire car shut down for a split second.
View 14 RepliesI recently came across a problem that is not a big deal but enough to irritate me. When I engage the parking brake it will shut the radio off. I cant see to see how the two systems are related to one another. I don't have the brake light lit on my dash indicating anything is wrong with my brakes. I have tried to reset the navigation system a few number of times but the problem is still there.

A month ago while waiting to pick up my daughter, I had the radio on for a few minutes while the engine was off. Car would not start while all the electrical worked so had to get a jump. I tested again yesterday by leaving the radio on and the battery dies. Get another jump and start, car starts and runs fine as long as I don't do anything with the engine off.
Volt meter reads the battery at 12.9 when the engine is off. Jumps up another 2.1 when I start the engine meaning alternator is fine too. Just in case, I bought a new battery but have yet to replace it. Voltage on a new battery reads at 12.64 which is even lower than the old one!
Should I still go ahead and replace it?
I bought a 2007 Lexus LS 460 L recently and the check AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) at dealer light is coming from yesterday which was rainy, and I also noticed that the APGS (Advanced Parking Guidance System) was not working also , and if I leave the car off and come back after several hours light seems to go back off and on again after a while. I just changed the tires a week ago.
I would think it would be a sensor but is there any sensor that is used for APGS and AFS as they both stop working at the same time, give me messages to take to the dealer.
* NO data controller
* NO air suspension on the car
* All original parts
Every time I come to a stop, my right front pops when I brake. Is this a brake problem or the old standard control bushings? Suspension or Brakes?
View 14 RepliesI get a very annoying high pitched electronic whine on an AM radio station that I like. It occurs all the time. Its like a grounding problem. It is so bad I can't listen to the station in my 2009 LS. Only one station, AM 810, has the issue. I don't have ML. Just a regular radio. No other radio issues.
View 10 RepliesMy NAV/Radio system won't function at all. When I turn on the car the first thing I get is the "splash screen" (and advertisement from Jim Falk Lexus), then the warning screen. Radio would come on for a few seconds then the screen will turn black and start all over again. It's in a continuous loop.
When I hold down the volume button for 4-5 seconds, it will re-boot but it will then continue to re-boot itself every few seconds. So is there any way to totally re-set the system? You know, like a "control-alt-delete" to start over from scratch?
I have an appointment on Friday and really don't want to be looking at the system go through this cycle every 5 seconds. It's very distracting. Plus I can't use my NAV, the radio, Bluetooth for my phone, etc...
It's a 2015 LS460 with the Mark Levinson system.
Radio controls no longer function. Only the volume and the seek buttons work. Have to use controls on the steering wheel to make any changes.
