I'm starting to have this problem with my 07. I pulling my garage and the auto lights come on, I shut the car off and the lights will go off after 30 seconds...now every 15th time the lights stay on until the battery dies.....

A month ago while waiting to pick up my daughter, I had the radio on for a few minutes while the engine was off. Car would not start while all the electrical worked so had to get a jump. I tested again yesterday by leaving the radio on and the battery dies. Get another jump and start, car starts and runs fine as long as I don't do anything with the engine off.
Volt meter reads the battery at 12.9 when the engine is off. Jumps up another 2.1 when I start the engine meaning alternator is fine too. Just in case, I bought a new battery but have yet to replace it. Voltage on a new battery reads at 12.64 which is even lower than the old one!
Should I still go ahead and replace it?
I have an 08 LS460 and set my lights to auto.
I have noticed recently, two times I have turned the car off and the lights stay on.
One time was in the garage and I never lock the doors while parking it in my garage.
They were on for 15 mins after I turned off the car.
I bought my 11 GX460 a few months a go and I went out yesterday morning and it wouldn't start.. Of course I left the interior lights on and I drained the battery. Is there a setting somewhere that can automatically turns the interior light turn off after a set amount of time.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 LS460L. It hasn't been driven in three or four days. Today we found the car was completely dead. I had to get into the car with the manual key. The battery is one year old. The AAA person found that the light switch was set on parking lights rather than automatic. Could that have drained the battery. I thought that the lights turn off after you leave the car.

But when i turn the knob off the auto headlights turn on. Any insight on this? when i first got the car everything was working fine. It only started to happen after I replaced the radiator.
View 6 RepliesI foolishly changed out my driver side wheel hub (bearing was grinding) without disconnecting the battery and now have the ABS, AFS and VSC lights on. Disconnecting the battery overnight did not work. Going on the premise that the sensor on the new hub is good, does this need the dealer or someone with Techstream to reset?
View 8 RepliesA little over a week ago I had my battery go low and set off several brake warning lights on the dashboard. I have a very trusted mechanic and had him look it over. There were no issues whatsoever with the braking system and the lights simply occurred due to a drop in battery voltage. My question would be how to clear the lights. I have seen various people use something called a techstream and was wondering if this would be viable in my situation. If so what is the most updated version of the tech stream as well as a possible tutorial. Below for reference is a picture of the lights that were set off on the dashboard(circled). The dash isn't mine just one that I found but the four lights in question are the same.
View 7 RepliesI'm wondering if it's possible to turn on the foglights without the headlights on the 2013+ LS460. I understand it's not possible without modification on 2007 - 2012 models, but I'm wondering if anything's changed.
Ideally, I would want to run the foglights as "daytime running lights", preferably without modifications.
How do the vanity lights turn on? I thought they would turn on when you open the mirror but it didn't.
Is it possibly both bulbs are blown? What fuse to check?
Im having problems with my lights not turning off in the evening hours after the lights have been on and I have just turned the car off. I have waited for long period of time and sometimes have to go inside the car and manually turn them off. Has this been a problem?

When on Auto.. Lights turn off after pressing the Lock 2x.
When on On position or parking lights position and I press the lock button twice, it will not turn off. I mean it will stay on for a while.
Check the delay headlight setting in the menu options and it's set at 30 seconds.
Took my car back to Lexus and told them my issue I was having...and they still couldn't figure it out.
When I go through a tunnel or under a bridge with my headlights on the Auto setting the lights will turn on, but wont turn themselves back off when it is no longer dark.

View 4 RepliesI find it is that the lights do not turn off after parking when they are in the auto position unless you take the key out. Is there any way around this? It's kind of odd to have to take out the key when parked inside the garage.
View 19 RepliesI just got a new battery installed from Walmart for my 2007 Avalon. After replacing the battery I am experiencing a wide variety of electrical problems. The car starts fine that's not the problem. Here's a lost of all of the problems:
Navigation display now goes I wired directions...it used to follow the direction the car was going
Passenger window does not work at all
Driver side window works but the auto function does not work
Sun roof auto feature does not work so you have to hold the button the whole time as opposed to just pressing it once
What could have caused this?? I haven't tried cleaning the terminals or anything yet.
Just wondering if it's possible to have the driving lights/fogs to turn on with the headlights when the switch is in AUTO? We prefer to just leave the switch in AUTO mode, but it defeats the purpose of even having the front driving lights as they are never used.
