2007 ls 460 l - Warning light on dash: Check VSC system. Happens intermittently. When it is on, the cruise control does not work and the break-hold is off.
View 2 RepliesAfter driving most of a day on the road a red triangle warning light came up on the dash and a PCS System Check light lit together with a Check PCS System message in the display site. I checked the fuses and they seem to be Ok. The car runs fine and I don't feel any effect on driving the car due to this message.

View 7 Replies2 days ago I was driving my car back home and suddenly Check VSC System" Warnings “appear on screen, it’s the first time gotten this warning displayed while driving.
I went to one of Lexus Maintenance repair agency and they started to do the Computer check and following that an error message showed “Abnormal Leak in Accumulator” and he showed me the location of that part on my car Part No 44510-50070 & PK031-353 and the price of this part about 1600$ the Engineer said! Or to go for a second hand one..! I did some search and find out that this part it is not that easy to be damage..

I am the original owner of a 2007 LS460 with under 36K miles. Recently, my SRS (Airbag) warning light came on, but after I restarted the car it went off. However, shortly thereafter it came back on again, but it went off after I restarted the car. The last time it came on it stayed on. So I brought it into the dealer 2 weeks ago to diagnose it. They provided me with a service loaner ES350 and I'm still waiting for their decision as to what, if anything, they will do.
I discovered that on January 13, 2010, Lexus issued Service Bulletin Number 282827 in response to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) Action Number 10033557. Here is the Summary: "Lexus supplemental restraint systems. Some model vehicles may exhibit an srs light on condition with dtc b1861 and/or b 1866. After confirming the vehicle condition matches the bulletin, it will direct you to replace the instrument panel."
It appears that my LS460 matches that bulletin. Note that this is a Service Bulletin and NOT a recall, notwithstanding the fact that it pertains to a safety system, namely, SRS - the supplemental restraint system (airbags). My Service Adviser told me that because Lexus has not received enough complaints this matter has not been escalated to the level of a recall. He did not tell me how many complaints were received.
Because my car is out of warranty, my Service Adviser requested a courtesy repair from Lexus for the following reasons: (1) I purchased 2 brand new vehicles from this dealer (LS460 and RX350); (2) both vehicles have been serviced by the book; and (3) my LS460 has under 36K miles.
I would like to know if any other LS460 owners have experienced a similar intermittent airbag warning light and, if so, how that was resolved.
I bought the used 2006 Lexus 148,000 miles few days ago now when driving its showing on the dash check PCS system.
I took it to the local garage they plugged in Techstream and said they are no faults are recorded.
I called today Lexus Oxford, Lexus Reading and they said they will start with the initial diagnostic diagnostic using the Lexus software and will then proceed further according to the trouble codes.
I told them that as the local garage have used Techstream were unable to find any trouble code, after that they said that they have to start with the initial diagnostic and will charge me for that and after that they will they how many more hours are need for checking , its ridiculous .
1) Check PCS System.
2) How can I check the health of the Hybrid battery as battery bars are charging and discharging too quickly.
Thursday driving home from work, the thing started dinging and all sorts of lights started flashing at me. I looked in the manual and (finally) found that it is the TPMS. The orange light on the left side blinks for 1 minute and then stays on steady. I also see "Check System" in the display under the speedometer and there is a red light with an explanation point (!) on the right side. Checked all tire pressure. All were at 30 PSI. Checked spare, it was good. Manual says if it blinks and stays steady, contact your dealer. Called...they can't look at it until Feb. 12. I drive 40 miles a day on average. Not a lot, but by 2/12 that is several hundred miles. what could be wrong and if i should still be driving this car?
View 14 RepliesFor the past few months, I've had a weird intermittent check engine/VSC light problem. I've noticed that it comes after getting gas...and sometimes goes away after getting gas. I've jiggered the gas cap to be sure it's tight. Is it possible that this is something as simple as the seal in the cap gone bad?

View 4 RepliesCouple days ago it's -24C and I jump in car and head off to hardware store. Shop for 30 min and return and start the car. Starts ok but I notice that I have all sorts of warning lights on dash (ABS, Airbag, Parking Brake) and no power to my center console ie radio, climate stuff, fan etc. Also I can't move the shifter from Park.
Car's running so I dig out the manual to check the warning lights info and look at the fuse diagram cause maybe it's a blown fuse. Anyway 3-4 min after this, the power starts coming back to my center console, I hear the radio, then the fan then everything seems back to normal, except i still have dash warning lights and no shift action out of Park.
A few minutes later my dash warning lights start to go out, one at a time until only the ABS light is on. And my shifter now works. I wait a few minutes, make sure I have brakes, and drive home. Start it a few hours later and all is normal. And has been since.
A few days previous to that, in -27C weather my brakes froze and I had to do some serious pumping to get them to unfreeze. Maybe the two event are related.
2007 LS460L ... Check Engine, PCV, and VSC system light came up all of sudden. Traction control, cruise control and "Hold" system doesn't not work. I recently replaced Air filter, A/C filter and Oil change.

View 2 RepliesI bought a 2007 Lexus LS 460 L recently and the check AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) at dealer light is coming from yesterday which was rainy, and I also noticed that the APGS (Advanced Parking Guidance System) was not working also , and if I leave the car off and come back after several hours light seems to go back off and on again after a while. I just changed the tires a week ago.
I would think it would be a sensor but is there any sensor that is used for APGS and AFS as they both stop working at the same time, give me messages to take to the dealer.

* NO air suspension on the car
* All original parts
My Prius yesterday while driving slowly (under 10 mph) all the dash warning lights came on(triangle, cel, trac control, brake). the gas engine started and the message came on that says: "check hybrid system". Today when I went out to check there only two warning lights on (triangle and cel) with the same message displayed. My question is can the vehicle operate without damaging anything if I drive it as is? I have read on several threads that the engine will not start if the hybrid motor(s) are not working. Since my engine starts and runs I have to believe the motor(s) are working.
View 19 RepliesMy 2008 2wd 4.0l XLT is having a strange power steering issue. When I start the truck and back out of my driveway it feels like I have no power steering. Within about ten seconds of putting the truck in reverse the "check charging system" warning comes on the dash. As long as it is on I have no power steering. That warning stays on for about 15-20 seconds and then goes away. As soon as it goes away power steering is restored.
I have checked my battery and it is good, it is also pretty new. The power steering fluid level is good. Based on another thread that seemed to have a similar issue I replaced the serpentine belt, the idler pulley and the belt tensioner. No changes at all to the issue. My next step is to replace the power steering pump....
I have Lexus 460 LS L 2007. Few months back changed the battery and every thing was ok. 2 months after I had problem in the sound system ( radio and dvd ) which was on and off. One month back suddenly I had all the warning lights in the dashboard on with massage saying that that the brake system is malfunctioning and check the ABS system.
I took the car to LEXUS dealer and they reprogrammed the computer abd then every thing went back to normal and the problem fixed. Two days after I had these warning lights again with the same massege. I do not know what to do ??
Today I received a “CHECK AWD SYSTEM” warning message. Car seems to be driving okay.

Is there a way to just shut the system down until after the weather clears up or forever, since its failed twice before?
My 3is blind spot monitor and cross traffic alert doesn't seem to work anymore. I've tried playing around with the BSM button under the steering wheel.... i get nothing except a message on the dash saying "check BSM system" . Whats going on and how to fix it?
