I have an 07 LS 460 L with R-Spec data controller installed. I want to remove the data controller and go back to stock. I removed the data controller and the rear stays super low and tucked and the front stays raised like 3 fingers above the tire. So i reinstalled the data controller for now.
View 4 RepliesSo I have a PCS fault on my 2008 LS460L and brought it to my local Lexus Dealership....They basically insist that the data controller is/may be causing the PCS fault.
In the meantime, I guess the most probable action is to disconnect the data controller and see if the problem goes away.....
Here is my 2004 Excursion PSD. The X was already lifted when we bought it, but I'd love to return it to stock ride height or near stock w/ the larger tires on 16's. So, not having been around 4x4's for long, how the heck do I figure out how it was lifted? Shackles, different springs, who knows??? Basically is just too much of a PITA not fitting into car washes and not being able to fit it in my garage for repairs.

View 8 RepliesLooking out the window at the over 2 feet of snow in the driveway makes me wonder....how low can I drop the ride height?? I have already lowered to ROW specs -10mm and have just recieved a set of 19" Helios wheels from Santa to install in the spring. Do I fudge the controller for another 10mm or install the adjustable link kit from "LOWERMYRIDE"??? What is the sweetspot 20mm,30mm??
View 3 RepliesI'm over at my sisters and she is complaining that her ride height adjustment does not work. She needs to use it for the car to clear the end of her garage (there is a small ledge at the end) I hop in and push the button... nothing happens, nothing in the infotainment or MFA. I'm wondering if the switch is not making contact? Or could it have something to due with the not enough air pressure? I think I'll try to put it in "jack" mode, maybe that will reset it. Anything else I should try? I guess I'll drive it in to work for her (which is normally fun for both us, she likes to drive my R32 and I love driving the Phaeton )
View 18 RepliesI already have sport Eibach springs and my shocks and struts are about to go, but this gives me an opportunity I can either go coilovers or all sport suspension. I want to go a little lower though than what its sitting at now, especially when I put my 18x8 wheels on. I definitely want to go static, air ride is too much. So I was wondering if I went with the blistein sport shocks and struts with the sprt eibach springs would it sit lower?
View 14 RepliesMyself and ZAC1 have an identical issue regarding ride height on our GT's. The rear driver side is lower than the rest of the car (or the passenger side is higher).
In my case you can notice it just by looking at the car from a distance, mainly from the rear. Using a tape measure to check the height of the wheel well to the ground, the driver side is 26", the passenger side is 26.5". I have measured it on a variety of surfaces just in case my garage was on a slope.
The other day I saw this message (or something similar) in the instrument cluster display for the first time. I was parked, car unladen, engine not running, parking brake on, facing somewhat uphill, when I attempted to change to the higher ride height.
The Handbook doesn't refer to conditions for ride height adjustments.
I'm pretty confident my batteries are fine. I attributed the reluctance to the fact that the car was pointing uphill, though on reflection may that not be exactly a time when you do need to change ride height?
A few minutes later, driving on the level, the ride height adjusted perfectly well, and it has done so since whether moving or at rest.
I have a 2008 Prius and the for about 2 weeks now it has been spontaneously resetting its memory. I turn the car off as normal, the next time I turn it on it tells me I have no gas, the MPG and Miles have reset, all my radio station presets are cleared. It started after I installed a subwoofer ( but I also installed it a couple weeks after I got it ) I thought the sub was draining the battery, but the car starts fine and shows the battery is one bar from full. So I ruled that out.

I bought a used one and it appears to be lowering and raising the car.
It does not seem like all 4 corners are even. I don't have the instructions on how to reset or play with the settings.
So i hit a pretty nasty manhole on the road which hit my driver side lower control arm and caused my passenger seat and curtain airbag to deploy. no damage anywhere else. I got the airbags replaced (seat is being reupholstered atm) so i was wondering is it possible to reset the log or do i have to get a new sensor.
View 3 RepliesI just purchase this 07 LS460 96K miles less then 2 weeks ago, everything was working fine for the first few days then the navi screen keeps on popping up this message "Unable to read data, please consult dealer" I did many research on this forum and it seems like it's a bad HDD and I have also read it cost 15k to have it replace and such. I just bought the car and its out of factory warranty with the year and miles....

Perhaps a strange question, but is there any way the pedal height can be decreased. On my 2010 LS 460 it seems to be higher than on my previous 2005 LS 430 to the extent that I lift my foot off the accelerator pedal and miss the top of the brake pedal. It's happened often enough that I've been wondering if it could be reduced an inch or so.
View 1 RepliesMy Navigation started to display a message "Unable to Read Data" and would not display the Map on my Certified 2008 LS460. All other displays worked just fine and there were no other problems with my Navi. This had been an intermittent problem for a while so I decided to bring it to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, Virginia. I paid them $130 to diagnose the problem for them to tell me that I need a new Navigation ECU - which at first they quote $15,000.00 I FLIPPED! I let them know that I would deal with not having a map and navigation and got my car back!
When they gave me my car I started it up to see the wrong time displaying on the clock and a message that reads "A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer" displaying on my screen. I immediately got my SA out there to look at the message. He tried to tinker with all the buttons and couldn't get the message to disappear so he brought his supervisor to look at the message.
They explained to me that when diagnosing the problem they tried to reset the system by removing by battery and it didn't work (Yeah, Actually it made things worse!!!) and now it is evident that my ECU has apparently completely died (and I find it such a coincidence that it happen to die while in their hands diagnosing the issue). They took the car back to see if they could do anything to get it back to the state it was in when I brought for diagnosis.

These models years have the "Generation 7" infotainment system, which might be different from the 2015 - 2016 "Generation 8" systems.
I've looked around, but cannot readily find this setting.
I have been experience some rough ride, and i am always in "comfort" mode for the air suspension. I have been changing the suspension over to "sport" for a mile or two then back into "comfort" and that seems to fix it for a day or so and then it goes rougher again.
I have also noticed when i am riding with the windows down that every time i hit a bump not only is there a jarring jolt, but also a squeak almost like a shriek that comes from presumably the suspension in the front ?
I would like to know if this is a sign of failing air bags, a bad compressor, bad sensors or even if the control arms are in question at this point. . .?
I just bought a 2007 ls460 with 100k miles on the car love the vehicle but I have 2 issues with it first wind noise which I will get fix after dealing with the car bouncy ride. When I first got the vehicle i didn't notice the bouncy ride it happens when going fast on freeway 60+mph over bumpy and uneven pavements. It would bounce up and down and wobble side to side like crazy where it is scary that I will lose control if I don't hold on to the steering wheel hard.
So I replace all four shocks still no fix. My mechanic said my control arms bushing are bad. So I had all 8 front control arms replaced with OEM parts. That made a big difference on the driving and handling. It doesn't bonce as much as it did but it still bounce a little and wobbles side to side but not as much. I feel like the car is not suppose to feel this way only happens on freeway at high speed over bumps. Do I need to replace my rear control arms as well for the car to not bounce and wobble.
My mechanic said there are 10 total arms in the rear 5 each side. Will this work for my ride? Or do I need to replace new springs? I don't want to spend more money than I already have on it. I did a 4 wheel alignment and my specs in front are good but my left rear camber is -2.6 degree toe is 0.16 and my right rear is -2.0 degree toe 0.10 alignment guy said that if i change my rear control arm it might support the camber.
I used to wonder if my engine was running when stopped at a light and marvel at the smooth ride of my 2008 LS460L.
Lately I have been feeling a rough idle when stopped and the ride feels jittery on smooth roads.The odd thing is the car idles smoother with the air conditioner running or when it is off. It is very noticeable when off and seems to be apparent when the car is fully warmed up .
The jittery road thing occurs both when the air is on and off. I bought the car CPO and it had the valve recall work performed (saw that was one possible cause).
