I'm trying to access my rear subwoofer in my 07 LS 460 with Mark Levinson. It seems to be blown or ripped somewhere as it makes a loud noise when it hits. Will the top grill just pop off? Or do I gotta do a full removal? If so, how do I get to it.
View 14 RepliesI just recently upgraded the speakers and deck in my 2012 Hyundai Accent GLS but after installing a 12" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer in my trunk all I can hear is an overly annoying rattle caused by the cheap plastic trunk lid. It seems the lid is vibrating against my rear window because when I shove a towel along the edge across my window the noise stops.
View 9 RepliesI have a rear rattle that I cant figure out had the wheel off and levered and pounded on links bushings etc. How can I access the top strut mounts to check them? Nothing found on youtube. Original struts on rear show no leaks or broken spring. Bouncing car does nothing neither does grabbing the tire at 12 and 6 or 3 and 9 position.

Short of turning off the engine when the wiper is in the down position, how it supposed to be accesse?
I folded down my rear seat the other day and it wouldn't unfold. I took it to Lexus and they wanted to replace a broken cable in the seat. I decided to do it myself. I found the parts I need on Sewell. The problem is that I am having a hard time getting access to the cables in the seat. How to get access to the cables in the seat or how to remove it so I can figure it out from there?
View 5 RepliesI know this may be kinda tacky to some but i keep seeing these audi's driving around and the headlights with the LED DRL's always catch my eye. I ordered a set of led DRL and i want to install them either inside the headlight housing or around the rim of the housing if i cant get the font plastic off. How to remove the bumper cover so i can access the bolts that holds the headlights in.
Headlight assembly without damaging the plastic lens . I've seen some other guys toss a toyota matrix assembly in the oven at 350 for 3 minutes to soften the adhesive and then pry apart the front lens off the housing. Would this work with the ls460 or would it damage some of the internals. I have hid and the movable projectors (afs i think its called)....

View 14 RepliesI have Lexus Ls460 (2008), I have paint the driver door, so they removed the door handled and reinstall it after they finished, the problem now, the keyless access from the driver door not working, I can't enter unless I push the unlock button in the remote, all other doors working fine, and can be open without pressing the unlock button. So is their any way to re-program the driver keyless door? or it could be something wrong with the handle installation?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2008 ES 350 that just sounds really bad. Are there other things that can go wrong, a blown fuse somewhere or something? I haven't noticed bad woofer, but will look closer next time I get the car in my hands (it's my wifes)
The problem I'm having is even if the woofer was blown, it would seem the other speakers would sound a little better than they do.
Have to replace those on 3rd gen vehicle?
View 14 RepliesI drive a Sport and have installed a subwoofer and amplifier to work with the stock head unit and speakers. However, I find the subwoofer sounds a bit muffled and I think I need to create a bit of an air flow between the trunk and the cockpit.
I did notice the rear deck has a big hole where the 8 inch subwoofer sits in higher trims. The hole is however, covered with a plastic dummy or cap or placeholder or whatever it is Hyundai calls it. If I can remove that, I can make some air flow and believe the subwoofer might sound better. How to remove it?
Feels like the front suspension is blown in the front of my car and i got an alignment not too long ago and the sides are feathering already. spoke to couple of my friends and we have confirmed that the front is blown and also when i drive i see the front bouncing when i go over bumps. I just want to ask the people who did remove their stock suspension and see what brand they are.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt with 26700 miles on it and I have recently started hear some odd rattling noises from the back right tire area and I have looked under the car to make sure that there was not anything loose under there and I didn't see anything. The tires on getting pretty worn out and I have order a whole new set, but I am still very worried about that noise.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Vibe. My niece strattled a dead deer on the highway and I have a rattle noise coming from the rear right tire. Only think is that it's not constant? 9 out of 10 times it's there when I start the car but as drive for 30 or 40 minutes, or longer, it goes away? I had my Uncle look under the car and all he said was that he saw deer hair.

I checked and made sure there was nothing loose rolling around in the trunk. any nothing loose.

View 1 RepliesI've recently experienced a rattling(vibration)/growling noise around the engine when the car is running with the AC on. The sound gets louder when I put the car in drive and it goes away when I turn the AC off. The sound seems to be coming from underneath or next to the engine(right of engine when sitting in the car/left of engine when standing over the hood facing the engine)
I took it to Lexus and they told me its likely the water pump. The car drives great and I'm not noticing any leaks(water or otherwise) underneath the car. I had to park the car for 6 weeks while on a military exercise, and don't recall hearing the noise before going away. could 6 weeks of inactivity on the engine have anything to do with this?
When I start up my LS460, i hear some rattling noise comming from the engine..sounds like rocks/sand? im not sure but it only happens when i start up the car..after that..the car is completely quiet and drives perfectly fine...
View 14 RepliesNot sure if this is normal with the air suspension but over poor city roads at low speed, there is a light rattling noise from the suspension. I think it is the front. Sounds like worn bushings but the car has only done 30,000 miles.
If this is the sort of early symptoms that would be expected with wear in the control arms?
I started hearing a small rattling sound coming at low speeds while driving. It's a tic tic rattle which almost sounds like a cat, but it only does it while driving and not all the times. I had a smiling noise once on one of my cars and it was a torque converter. It's not the brakes, as applying brakes doesn't work. Also the whole front end is brand new. It motor related. Can a heat shield for a cat come loose?
I'm also dealing with a wind noise coming from a driver side window. My car has the updated thicker windows. The noise goes away if I lower the driver side window just a fraction. So having it closed all the way creates more noise. Other than that wind noise is at a minimum.
Just came from dealer because of a rattling noise coming from the front end. They said it was caliper piston. They also said its common just that some is not as loud others. They are trying to fix it.
