I have noticed that the rubber window moldings around both front doors is deteriorating. Both are torn and falling apart. There is no wind noise yet but they need to be replaced.

View 5 RepliesThe door molding has come loose at the front corners of both my doors on my 2002 S-10 pickup. I tried weldwood contact cement (the kind you use on laminating Formica counter tops), but it only lasted a couple of days. I put a spot of super glue on it to see if that might work. It looks promising but that little spot that I tried was not enough surface area to hold it for more than a day. I don't want to ruin the trim by super gluing the whole thing if it won't work. How to do this? The trim seems fine otherwise. It is not cracking or anything like that. I think super glue would hold it if I glued the entire length of about a foot or so. Also the driver side door seems to be a bit out of line an eighth of inch or so at the front corner. It does not appear to be adjustable. It has never been in an accident. It does not seem to be leaking into the cab yet with the door closed.

View 4 RepliesYesterday my passenger front window popped out of it's track. Then when we tried to pop it back in and get it to go back up, it completely popped out and up about 3 inches from the frame of the door. Enough to be able to fit a had through no problem.
I am taking the car in tomorrow to have it looked at and get a quote to fix. From what I've read, it's a super pricey fix. So bummed because I just bought the car about 6 weeks ago (if that) ...
I need to get my front driver seat and passenger seat replaced because they look so beaten down. The cushion is almost gone and looks very wrinkly.
I really need to come up with the excuse because i doubt they will let me change it if i tell them that its getting wrinkly and the cushion is gone.
Over the weekend I was attempting to detail me car and install my HID Fogs when I noticed that the "Drip Molding" on the right side of my 07' GS350 was peeling. It looks almost like some type of thin cheap painted tape.

When I took it to Lexus of Cherry Hill, they told me that they were "puzzled" and that a service tech that has been there since 1989 has never seen this before. Asked if the car was involved in any accidents......
The car was purchased from a lease. All service records come from Lexus w/ a clean CarFax.

I just noticed yesterday that on my windshield, next to the wipers, I'm missing a molding piece. I think that's why there are some wind noise in that area. Attached are two pictures. The one of the passenger side you can see the black molding. The one of the driver side is missing it. What is the part number?
View 2 RepliesI have 2007 Camry CE, 4 cyl, 102,500 miles. The rubber boots on both front and rear struts can be easily lifted with a screw driver to reveal the shiny shaft. Strut seems be pass the 'fast brake' test (no bounciness). There is oily residue on the strut body. Is that normal? If replacement is needed, should I go with Monroe or other brand. I want the original Camry ride.
Brake pads seem to have 3/16"-1/4" thickness left. All equipment is original.
I would like to remove the chrome window molding around the front and rear doors of my 2010 Camry. Is it difficult to remove? More importantly, when I go to reinstall it - is it difficult to get straight like OEM fit and finish?
View 3 RepliesLong story short, the tint shop burned my exterior door pillar when I got it tinted like 8 months ago. Just now felt like dealing with it, so I got the new part in. How to replace it? The back has a lot of what looks like double sided tape and only 1 clip. In order to get the other one off it looks like I have to take off the chrome strip at the bottom since the black molding goes underneath the chrome...

For some months, I've heard squeaking noise from passenger side suspension. Sound like it's from shock & spring on bump road.

I looked at my suspension. and found rubber bushing is broken. Driver's side bushing is normal.
Is this noise related to the broken bushing?
Is it easy to replace the rubber by myself?
A guy said ATP AT-205 reseal will fix this noise in Youtube video. Is it true?

View 4 RepliesMaybe "detached" is the wrong word, but it's sticking up a bit on one of the sides such that it's not touching the windshield (see attached picture).
I don't think it was like that before, however, and I'm wondering:
1. Should I even care?
2. Is there an easy way of making it sit flush that a non-car guy could handle?
3. Is this something I should call the windshield guy back to do?
