So I've been getting this weird cracking noise from inside my car. Sounds like its coming from the rear side of the headliner. This always happens when I'm turning in or out of a driveway or over a speed bump. What it could be. Usually at low speeds and usually when I'm turning. It is very annoying!

at an angle causes a loud popping noise from my roof. I checked the headliner to see if anything was loose but came up with nothing. This occasionally happens on sharp turns on uneven ground.
I recently lowered my car so now this is happening way too often.
When I reverse out of my driveway, my car makes a noise. It only happens when it is in reverse and sounds like something may be rubbing against each other. It's not a high pitched squeaking noise but more so just vibrations and a light rubbing noise.

The intensity of the POP varies dependent on speed and angle of incline, higher speed/greater incline/decline produce a louder POP.

It only does it when taking off from a stop and/or turning mainly to the right during slow speed, seems to be when the body weight is shifting. To me it sounds as though something needs greased or maybe a strut.
View 2 RepliesWhenever I am in a parking lot turning into parking spaces or driving slowly around or even turning into my driveway I have a deep creaking type sound that sounds awful. It's either the suspension going south, something with one of the strut bars or the bigger diameter mid pipe making contact with something when the car is turning. Car is noise free otherwise even over soles bumps, just happens to sound nasty when making turn ins going 2-5 mph.

I had the windows tinted about a week ago, and am wondering if they could have dropped or left some sort of cleaner or chemicals on the dash.
I noticed the A/C was not blowing cold air. I also noticed oil spots on the driveway. I jacked up the car and there is oil coming from Evap drain line. I bought a can of refrigerent with a gauge. The A/C was low. The car took the whole 18 oz and was still low. But blows cold air now. My guess is that the evaporator is leaking.

View 2 RepliesMy RX350 is a 2007. Recently replaced the two front struts and noticed the passenger side is exhibiting this peculiar clunking/clicking/popping sound when turning. It mostly happens when turning in motion but once in a while when parked. Clunk/click sound usually only occurs once, or in a short series of 2-3 times, during turning.

Noise is almost silent at the strut mount/bearing, so I suspect it's lower in the assembly. Can feel the clunk/pop vibration with hand placed on the lower spring seat.
Took the tire off and thoroughly inspected things. No tears/leaks in any joint sleeves/bushings. Tie rods and CV joint look fine, as do strut mount, bearing, upper spring seat, insulator, rubber bumper, sleeve, and spring. None of these were replaced during the strut replacement as everything looked great and with only 55k miles.
I've not been able to reproduce the issue with the engine off, nor when the tire is off the ground when jacked/lifted.
During Google searches, it was suggested the culprit is likely either the strut mount/bearing or CV joint. We removed the strut today and everything looks the same as during the install. We can't reproduce the sound with just moving the knuckle around with the strut removed. Strut mount/bearings look in excellent condition.
I have this strange creaking almost a sharp cracking noise coming from the rear part of the roof near my head when I go over some bumps. I have tried all the usual methods; lubricating roof rubbers, adjusting bump stop under package shelf; adjusting roof height using the grub screw adjustment; nothing seems to work. It almost sounds as if the noise is coming from some of the hard plastic roof trim but I can't seem to pinpoint it despite using foam padding, silicone spray etc..
View 3 RepliesI have a 2010 LS460 AWD with 42k miles and notice when I am making a medium to wide angle turn at parking lot speeds the front wheels make an intermittent metallic clicking/ticking noise that can be clearly heard when the windows are down and stereo is off. The noise can be heard when turning in either direction, driving forward or in reverse, and both accelerating and slowing down. Doesn't seem to happen when I'm turning the steering wheel while the car is stationary. Dealer suspects noise is due to dry contact areas between pads, calipers, and anti rattle springs and wants to perform a brake service for $330 before they're willing to investigate further (car still under warranty till end of the year). If noise is brake-related shouldn't it only occur when I'm applying the brakes? What should I do?

Every time I go up a slanted driveway (driving into a driveway at an angle, not head on), there is a clunking noise coming from the right rear of the car. The sounds it makes is almost as if I the spare tire is lose hitting on the right side of the car. This only happens if I am driving into a driveway coming from the right side, the sounds does not happen if I am entering my driveway from the left side.

I got in the car and tried to identify the icon but couldn't- bad eyes, apparently, and it flashes too quickly for me to make it out. It immediately stopped when I turned the car on. I could find nothing in the manual.
View 3 RepliesMy Gti has been sitting in my driveway unused for a couple months now. The condensation in it has been unusually heavy when parked. The carpet is dry, doesn't smell damp inside, no coolant smell. Windshield was replaced 2year ago never had a prob with it so idk if it's that that's leaking, but what would the signs of that be? But what I really think it could be is that my recirculating flap is stuck closed. Could that be it?

View 3 RepliesI own a 2011 lariat with 500 miles. We have had several days of rain and I am getting alot of rust spots on my driveway always below and inside the right front tire. None in the rear or left front. Dealer said not to worry about it after they looke at the area. They said it is the new metal forming surface rust. There is a skid plate which seems to cover wherever the rust is starting. Should I demand that area be undercoated.
