I have an 07 LS460 with 65k miles.
Within last couple days I noticed a clicking sound when reversing and accelerating forward slowly.
This occurs most of the time when accelerating while wheel is turning (like after you back out of driveway and slowly turn straight to pull away)
I've also noticed the click when pulling into garage and braking.
I noticed the RPM's are higher than they used to be when accelerating slowly.
My car is an awd hybrid 600h with a CVT (110.000 miles) .. Do i have to check the transmission fluid? How?
Is my clutch or whatever it's called dying?
My car is still under warranty, but I'm not sure if wearable parts are included.
My 2011 ES350 has 49k miles on it (just got it last week).
I just noticed that when moving slowly (with and without accelerating) I can hear a slight whistle sound that resembles a bird chirp coming from what I think is a wheel.
My dad can't hear the sound (I'm thinking the frequency is too high for his ears) but it is definitely there and I can hear it clearly.
The sound comes and goes but something is not right. Wonder what it is?
When maneuvering our LS forward or back, we hear a BONG sound as if you were plucking a violin. The Lexus dealer says it's due to the fact that the accelerator pedal is designed differently from previous versions. Why should we be satisfied with an LS460 that makes constant noises!!!
View 2 RepliesI started having an issue with my lexus ls460 2007, the radio works good, but sometimes the sound doesn't come out, in other words even on max volume I can hear almost anything, a clicking sound comes out with this problem, the thing is (hands free) works perfect, navi guidance works amazing, except all radio sounds including AUX gives out lil sound which I can't hear.
View 6 RepliesIn my 2007 LS460 (Mark Levinson) the audio sounds are gone including button clicking sound, bluetooth, etc. Can I say that my amp was really busted? And for sure the brand new amp is very expensive so thinking to replace with the used amp if it was really busted.

Today getting on the freeway as I was getting up to speed I heard what sounded like a click then no longer had any forward gears. After rolling to a stop I tried every gear and nothing I did fell like it wanted to go but it would not move.
The trans fluid did not smell burnt and at most I might have been maybe 1/2 quart low. Where to start and what to check?
I always thought the clicking sound I was hearing in the morning was coming from the engine. Then I realized the sound doesn't start until the car is in gear, either reverse or drive. After a few minutes it will go away but until it does, it is a noticeable sound. I still have a warranty. I am wondering what this could be.

A $3000plus fix that is not in the budget nor will it ever be!..After doing some research trying to figure out what the actuator does i stumble across this Lexus technician PDF ...
..It clearly states on page 2 that "If a Toyota ABS system malfuctions, normal braking will not be affected!...My worry has never been the sound it makes,.. but that of me not being able to brake when needed!!...

I just got a used low-milage 2013 LS460, and noticed that every time I tap the break pedal I hear a "clicking" sound coming from under the dash or hood. This seems to happen every time I touch or press on the brakes, at seemingly any speed. It sounds almost like an actuator of some kind... perhaps like the type which allows the transmission to shift out of park. Is this normal, or an indication of a an issue?

No radio, CD, or Handsfree sound, just annoying clicking even when audio is off. Turned off car and restarted. Same clicking. Disconnecting amp in trunk only way to stop clicking noise.

My climate controls no longer will respond. the Auto button is lit up but I can't turn the air off. I get hot air from the vents. When the clicking does stop the system goes back to working order. My friend checked it out and says the clicking is from the blend door motor.

I have applied brake grease (green) to the pad shim.
I have replaced the spring sets on each front caliper.

On the drive home tonight, I noticed a clicking/ ticking sound coming from the car when accelerating from a complete stop. I would accelerate slowly enough to keep the vehicle in EV mode for the duration of the acceleration. Not sure if this is normal.
View 2 RepliesThe other day I reversed into a parking spot, and noticed as I was braking and reversing a loud clicking sound is coming from what seems the front driver side engine area. Every time I would brake it would click. I read of this problem on the Gen 6 and apparently there is a TSB for the front Rotors needing to me re-machined? The funny thing is this only happens when I reverse and brake, but it only happens randomly.

View 6 RepliesI have a 2007 Azera with a 3.8 engine. It has 16000 miles without any problems. There is a clicking noise coming from the engine compartment when accelerating. The noise only occurs when the engine is cold and seems to be more pronounced when accelerating quickly. I do not hear it when the car is idling.

View 3 RepliesLexus IS300... The sound is coming from the rear. It appears to be left rear. It comes and goes, but seems to intensify when accelerating and right turns. It's annoying. It's embarrassing. I have taken it to several different shops and nobody seems to be able to figure it out. What it could be?

I was driving out of a parking lot and as I accelerated onto the main road my vehicle stopped. I heard a grinding sound and could not go forward or reverse. While the car is in drive, park or reverse my car will roll any which way. It pushed it across the street. I tried to locate my tranny dipstick via visual inspection and manual. I could not find it. Could the stick have never been put back at some point in service and caused this issue. That seems unlikely but the thought occurred. Could it be the velocity joint? Whatever it is it certainly sounds like a transmission issue.
