2007 LS460L ... Check Engine, PCV, and VSC system light came up all of sudden. Traction control, cruise control and "Hold" system doesn't not work. I recently replaced Air filter, A/C filter and Oil change.

View 3 RepliesAfter driving most of a day on the road a red triangle warning light came up on the dash and a PCS System Check light lit together with a Check PCS System message in the display site. I checked the fuses and they seem to be Ok. The car runs fine and I don't feel any effect on driving the car due to this message.
View 2 RepliesDriving down the road today and all of a sudden the car loses power, starts vibrating and the Check VSC and Check Engine lights came on. I pulled off the highway and got the car stopped and engine shut off. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and started it up and all warning lights went off and I was able to drive the car home with no adverse effects. Seems to be running normal now. Searched the archives and saw numerous posts about a loose gas cap, but this was something far more serious.
View 13 RepliesI bought a 2007 Lexus LS 460 L recently and the check AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) at dealer light is coming from yesterday which was rainy, and I also noticed that the APGS (Advanced Parking Guidance System) was not working also , and if I leave the car off and come back after several hours light seems to go back off and on again after a while. I just changed the tires a week ago.
I would think it would be a sensor but is there any sensor that is used for APGS and AFS as they both stop working at the same time, give me messages to take to the dealer.

2007 ls 460 l - Warning light on dash: Check VSC system. Happens intermittently. When it is on, the cruise control does not work and the break-hold is off.

My wifes 2007 Santa Fe Limited 3.3 has had a check engine light going on a year now. Car has about 122k on it now. Scanned codes about 6 months ago and had a fuel system lean code. Did some reading and ended up replacing the purge valve. The CEL stayed off til the end of the drive cycle and came right back. I have noticed when you fill the car up there is a real strong smell of gas but the car always starts right up. It now has a P0171 Fuel system too lean (b1) and P2187 Fuel system too lean at idle. Where to start. Don't have much background with hyundai. Also the ESC off light comes on randomly and goes off. Doesn't happen real frequently though.
View 4 RepliesI have Lexus 460 LS L 2007. Few months back changed the battery and every thing was ok. 2 months after I had problem in the sound system ( radio and dvd ) which was on and off. One month back suddenly I had all the warning lights in the dashboard on with massage saying that that the brake system is malfunctioning and check the ABS system.
I took the car to LEXUS dealer and they reprogrammed the computer abd then every thing went back to normal and the problem fixed. Two days after I had these warning lights again with the same massege. I do not know what to do ??
My wife just purchased a 2011 ES 350 w/20k miles from a off lease dealership on Monday. On Tuesday the check engine light came on. She quickly called the dealer. He told her that the check engine light coming on is very common. She has an appointment Tuesday morning to check it out. Would like to know if any other 2011 ES 350 owners have had the check engine light frequently come on.
View 12 RepliesFor the past few months, I've had a weird intermittent check engine/VSC light problem. I've noticed that it comes after getting gas...and sometimes goes away after getting gas. I've jiggered the gas cap to be sure it's tight. Is it possible that this is something as simple as the seal in the cap gone bad?

My car ES350 2008 ... NEW about 2000 miles ...
I have an '09 LS SWB AWD with 86k miles on it. A few days ago the check engine light came on with a message on the dash for me to check the VSC system. The next day the check engine light and VSC warning went away on their own. A day after that they came back on. I pulled the ODB codes and got the following:
P0012 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded Bank 1
I took it to my local Lexus dealership and they determined that my VVT-i motor assembly needed replacing. Total cost would be $1,222. Apparently this part regulate the camshaft for variable valve timing. I asked if I should notice a performance dropoff since it's related to valve timing but they said no. They said I wouldn't make it worse by driving it so I took my car back and they would order the part for me.
The next day the check engine light and VSC warning went away on their own again and have not come back on for 3 days now. I don't understand why the warning and check engine lights keep going off on their own if this motor assembly needs replacing. Once again it has been 3 days now and no lights have come on.
I am the proud owner of a 2008 LS600hl with 141,000 miles. The check engine light is now on permanently and the estimated repair charge from my lexus dealership is outrageously expensive. Here is the official diagnosis and recommendation.
"Code P1083 - HCAC Valve Stuck Open in Bank 2 .
Recommend Replacing Y- Pipe With HC Adsorber .
Possibly May Need Exhaust 2 Sensors.
Was driving back home and the check engine light came on, these are the codes I got:
P0345: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit (Bank 2)
P0365: Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit (Bank 1)
P0390: Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit
The car drove fine, didn't feel any power loss, I heard a very very low hissing sound but I honestly don't even know if it was always there or not... I did put some gas from a different station for once, so I doubt the fuel caused this?
I have 07 350 and my check engine light is on, i had it scanned and they told me that the code is BP0013 and bank 1 Cam position sensor is bad. What that code means and where is that sensor located???

Just got a blown fuse yesterday, could it be related to a short ? Checked all fuses driver and passenger, didn't find another blown fuse (didn't checked in the trunk yet). LS600hl

Experienced these OBD codes? The printouts I received from the useful Lexus parts guy shows a cam position sensor fault code or VVT fault code. Need to change the sensors or wiring associated with them?
I have 2007 ES350. I was driving then check engine light and VSC popped on. I went to autozone then they said p0776 & P0746. The car is still driveable. I can still drive it on the expressway. The shifting from 1-3 isn't smooth. I'm going to take it to a transmission shop.
View 3 RepliesI own a 2009 Prius (4 years and 4 months old) with about 33K miles on it. Last Sunday while driving the Check Engine Light (CEL) suddenly came on. I made it home and started digging for possible causes - everything from a loose gas cap to a failure in the water pump for the inverter to a 12V battery nearing the end of its life. I've eliminated the water pump for the inverter as the source of the problem since, when I put the Prius into "Ready" mode, I can see movement in the fluid reservoir (when the gas engine is not on) indicating that the pump is working (it had also been replaced under a recall on that water pump a couple of years ago).
I'm down to a loose gas cap (which I checked and tightened) or the 12V battery as possible problems. I've tightened the gas cap but the CEL won't go off and I'm about to replace the 12V battery. Will that clear the CEL? I'm going to take it to a mechanic on Friday morning (my first opportunity - until then it's sitting in the garage) to get a code readout. Could this be something more serious? I mean the car is under 5 years old and has only 33K miles on it! What else could be causing the CEL to light up?
I drove the car yesterday night for about 30 mins and parked it at home and after one hour went back to start the car but it wont start.
