So I go to dinner last night and I come back to my car and my lights are still on. The car was locked as the side mirrors were retracted. I was eating dinner for at least 30-40 mins. The lights were on AUTO when I entered the vehicle.

View 14 Replies2007 Camry LE. I keep my headlights in the AUTO position and have had two instances recently where they did not come on, and it was plenty dark enough that they should have. I was able to turn them ON, then back to auto, and some sequence of that finally got them to come on while on AUTO, but it was a little scary. I had other drivers flashing their lights at me so I would turn mine on. I guess I'll have to check every time from now on.
View 12 RepliesSo, driving home from the meet & greet in DC yesterday and when I turned on the headlights, the auto-leveling light came on. It randomly came and went for a bit but was on continuously by the time we got home. Headlights work and are at the correct height. Lights cycle up/down when the key is turned. Other than the warning light, it appears to be working normally.
Of note, this was the first time using the lights after the airbag actuator recall last week. Not sure how it could be connected unless it is a dash connection issue. If not,how to isolate if or which sensor is causing the issue?
I like to warm up the car in my driveway with the doors locked.My new 2013 rx 350 does not allow me to lock doors with engine running. Is there something i am missing?I want to lock doors with the engine running.
View 14 RepliesI have Prius 2007, base model + package 2 & no upgrades. Not sure if it came with HID. It does not have a fog light.
I parked the car in front of a restaurant and waited. Turned off the headlights while waiting with engine running. Fiddled with the interior panel brightness dial a bit. When I turned on the car again the headlights wouldn't turn on - both of them. Drove home with hi-beam.
Checked the fuses H-LP LO for both RH & LH sides. They seem fine.
Asked wife to turn on/off headlights from stick - I could hear the click in the relay - so DIM relay is ok. With stick knob set to headlights and car running asked for the stick to be pushed to turn on/off high-beam- Could hear the relay engage + high beam on/off.
I looked closely to see if the mirror is moving - no movement. Just found it is possible for the same bulb to be High & low beams when there is no mirror movement with dual filament bulbs.
Just brought an '07 ES350 into the fold Iam getting no recognition of any CD functions CD-related buttons on the radio face (P1807) do nothing and the mode button on the steering wheel cycles FM1 - FM2 - AM only I havent received the manuals yet and this is a new marque to me.

View 4 RepliesI've got a 2007 rx 350. The steering wheel is locked and the key wont turn. I've tried everything, forcing the steering wheel left and right, forcing the gear shifter to neutral and moving the car. I even tried to spray some wd-40 on the key and then trying it.
View 14 RepliesThe car is not starting, the Keyless entry FOB is not unlocking/locking the doors and the steering wheel is locked. I'm not sure where to begin. It doesn't make any noise when you press the button and a light says check VSC. Security light is blinking.

I have noticed recently, two times I have turned the car off and the lights stay on.
One time was in the garage and I never lock the doors while parking it in my garage.
They were on for 15 mins after I turned off the car.
Having had this ES350 since November, I have had it on no less than 3 occasions unlock the doors when I approached it and upon walking away it did not relock.
This sporadic behavior is a bit disconcerting to me.
I usually set my climate control to 78 degrees and leave it on Auto, but whenever I leave the car for more than 5 hours then the climate control somehow resets itself.
The "Auto" light would stay illuminated for about 15 seconds, then it turns off and "Air Conditioner Off" flashes on the Nav screen. Then when I press the "Auto" button again, the climate displays 75 degrees. This has happened everyday for the last 3 weeks or so.
The new rx350 can open and close the trunk with a button...why not the ls460? I'm wondering if anyone tapped the switch in the rear and run the wire to the front & put a switch there so we can close it from inside. Sometimes we accidentally open the trunk and have to run out to close it.

What do most of you do? Seems nice to have. But also could be a lot of wear and tear on the two motors to do this. Is it worth it.

View 1 RepliesThe other day I really looked at them and realized that the yellowing headlights are kind of ruining the front look of the car. Mine is a 2007 and has been a northern car all it's life and I assume this is a more frequent issue with the northern state owners, rather than southern, due to salt, sand etc.
Has to tackle refurbishing headlights? If so, is there a 'best' method to get rid of the haze and restore them to near original shine and transparency? I've wet sanded and buffed headlights a long time ago on another vehicle and after a few weeks the haze much worse than originally, so I don't want to repeat that with these.
I'm taking a long road trip with my '10 LS. I'd like to pack items on the floor behind the driver's seat but am certain that the "auto away" function that moves the seat all the way back when you turn off the car will crush my items. I checked my manual and my Carista app but nothing about disabling this feature. How to do this?

I have the lights set to auto , push the stalk forward and press the auto button; however, the brights do not go off when approaching oncoming vehicles at night. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something wrong with the car?
