Lexus LS 2007+ :: Car Don't Have The Self Parking
Dec 22, 2012
I am thinking of adding the ivic-5d to my ls and I found out that since my car don't have the self parking I will lose the backup camera (which I don't want to lose).

View 10 RepliesI have a 2007 LS460L. It hasn't been driven in three or four days. Today we found the car was completely dead. I had to get into the car with the manual key. The battery is one year old. The AAA person found that the light switch was set on parking lights rather than automatic. Could that have drained the battery. I thought that the lights turn off after you leave the car.
View 4 RepliesI've had my '09 ES 350 for a few months now. I am disappointed in the low volume of parking sensor alert. The volume is all the way up and the switch is on. Expecting it to be louder as I am or do I have a faulty "speaker"? I'll be going to the dealer next month for service and will get their opinion at that time.
View 14 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?
View 11 RepliesSo today, I started my Lexus Ls600hl and the lights were flickering and the car wont start. Then on the Dash it has the yellow ! icon and the lcd says Parking brake not available.... The car wont start. I tried disconnecting the battery etc. nothing. Then i jumped the battery and got it to turn on, but it says parking brake not available - see dealer for information. But the car runs fine and everything now - But i don't understand the warning, the parking brake wont engage anymore. I will take it to the dealer tomorrow to see what's wrong.
View 14 Replies08 ES350 with 52k miles has a grinding sound in reverse. Brake pads were inspected - ok. Suspect that parking brake shoe is worn. Any tips on teardown/replacement ?
View 2 RepliesI recently came across a problem that is not a big deal but enough to irritate me. When I engage the parking brake it will shut the radio off. I cant see to see how the two systems are related to one another. I don't have the brake light lit on my dash indicating anything is wrong with my brakes. I have tried to reset the navigation system a few number of times but the problem is still there.
View 2 RepliesHow to adjust parking brake pedal. I am sure it should be common problem at some time for everyone. My car has 93k miles and now parking brake too loose and not holding car anymore, when car on slope.
View 2 RepliesStarted the car this morning- and got a message. "Check parking brake system" .
The Auto button for the parking brake seems to flicker, and the park light on the dash blinks. Car make ding sound while driving.

I have a 2011 LS 460 with 28K miles in very good shape although there is a noise most audible when I am in a stop sign that disappears when I shift the transmission to "P". The noise is like a tackat tackat tackat tackat . I took the car to the dealer and the service advisor claims is normal. Is it or my car is defective?
View 7 RepliesYesterday I got a maintenance code on the dash of my 07 ls460 and it said to check parking brake system please take vehicle to dealer.
View 5 RepliesSo I've noticed at times when I make a turn or when backing out of a parking space and cranking the wheel I hear a knocking sound. What it is? 2013 F Sport with 37K miles. Under warranty so taking it in either way but just curious on what it could be.
View 5 RepliesI purchased a used set of JDM HID/LED fogs awhile ago and had them installed by a buddy of mine who owns a shop. The HID portion was plug and play, but I cannot figure out how to get the LED portion to light up outside of tapping into the parking lights. It came with a DRL switch with a number of harnesses attached and a ground wire. I dropped the panel under the steering wheel and cannot see anywhere to plug it in. I reached out to the few people who have installed these, and contacted a number of sellers, but have not had much luck.
Do the LED portion has a harness to plug into on a US Spec car?
Light
Instructions I got from someone. It says there is a harness, but no one has been able to confirm if the US Spec vehicles have it

The little green light on my Parking brake button does not illuminate when i push the button to let me know if its on and I am also getting a message on my dash saying Check Parking brake system and have vehicle checked by a dealer. What my problem could be before I take the vehicle to a dealer? Apparently the automatic parking brake is not working at all and the little green light doesnt light up when the button is pressed. I have a 07 ls460 with 112k
View 3 RepliesMy parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didn't work. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist?
View 10 RepliesAfter doing a Total Brake job on My 08 LS 460 plus Rotors. I got a warning message that my Parking Brake was inaccessible and to see the Dealer . I went back and changed all the Parking Brake Hardware to solve the Problem and I am still getting the same Warming Message.
View 14 RepliesI notice that my Electronic Parking brake doesnt seem to work anymore and I no longer have the little green light that illuminates where the parking brake switch is. Also, I now have a message on the dash that say check parking brake system have vehicle checked by dealer.
View 3 RepliesI can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.
View 3 RepliesWhy i dont hear the beeping sound when i am parking my car? i just bought the car 3 days ago and have read the manual and did a forum search. I have pressed the "hold" button on the steering wheel and went to the display to make sure the parking assist volume is not at zero. however, WHY can't i hear the beep sound as i get close to objects? i would like to hear it since i am still getting used to the size of this vehicle.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2008 LS. The buzzer for my front parking assist sensors is significantly louder than when the buzzer sounds for the rear sensors. I have adjusted the buzzer volume to the loudest position (#5), but the volume of the buzzer when the rear sensors activate is still much lower than for the front sensors.
The indicators on the nav screen for all the sensors are working properly. Do you find the volume is different between the front and rear sensors or do I have a problem?
I am asking because I inadvertently backed out of a driveway into a car that was parked directly across the street. I do not recall hearing the sensor sound before I hit the other car. At the time, my sensor volume was set on #3. When I checked, I could barely hear the buzzer from the rear sensors, but could clearly hear the buzzer from the front sensors. Resetting the buzzer volume to #5 has worked a bit, but I still wish the buzzer for the rear was louder.
Any ls600hl owner experienced this? --> When the car is left on acc for a while (all electrics system online without the engine running - or if the car is started with radio only then shut off a few time) the parking sensor suddenly start beeping non stop. If you shut down the car then the steering wheel won't go back into neutral position.
If you try to start the car (along the engine) the car does a kind a "air deflating" sound and won't start (don't seems to be the suspension thought). Then the light on the Mark Levinson radio start flashing intermittently and a warning about the SRS is showing telling you to go to the dealer to have the car inspected.
If you wait a few minutes and start the car again it will then start normally without problems and won't display the SRS warning anymore. This is my second 2008 ls600h with the executive trim and both did this so this seems to be some kind of design flawn.
