Im having problems with my lights not turning off in the evening hours after the lights have been on and I have just turned the car off. I have waited for long period of time and sometimes have to go inside the car and manually turn them off. Has this been a problem?
View 6 RepliesI'm wondering if it's possible to turn on the foglights without the headlights on the 2013+ LS460. I understand it's not possible without modification on 2007 - 2012 models, but I'm wondering if anything's changed.
Ideally, I would want to run the foglights as "daytime running lights", preferably without modifications.
How do the vanity lights turn on? I thought they would turn on when you open the mirror but it didn't.
Is it possibly both bulbs are blown? What fuse to check?
I recently purchased a 2013 LS460 and I'm alhaving issues with my lights turning off.
When on Auto.. Lights turn off after pressing the Lock 2x.
When on On position or parking lights position and I press the lock button twice, it will not turn off. I mean it will stay on for a while.
Check the delay headlight setting in the menu options and it's set at 30 seconds.
Took my car back to Lexus and told them my issue I was having...and they still couldn't figure it out.
I'm starting to have this problem with my 07. I pulling my garage and the auto lights come on, I shut the car off and the lights will go off after 30 seconds...now every 15th time the lights stay on until the battery dies.....
View 10 RepliesI have both my wipers and headlights set to "auto". I was wondering if there was a setting somewhere that turned on the headlights when the wipers are consistently on. I took my first long road trip today and it rained the whole way. The rain sensing wipers were awesome and I didn't have to mess with the settings at all. But when it's raining, it's the law here to have headlights on and it's something I want to do anyway because it's hard to see vehicles in the road rain mist when the headlights aren't on. So I was forced to manually turn them on.

I just purchased a 2007 LS and at night when I have headlights on Auto, when I leave the car and lock it, the headlights do not go off. If I do not lock it, the headlights go off ok. What could cause this? Is there some kind of setting for this?
View 12 RepliesI would like to know if there is a way to activate the automatic door locking when leaving the car, my car is oiut of warranty and i remember that i had that option on my car, but for some reason, i doesn't now. I've tried leaving the fob far from the car, but the doors does not locking automatically for any reason.
View 5 RepliesI'm slowly reading through the ES-350 manual, picking and choosing parts to read. There are several 'Personalized Preferences' that I've noted down and will have addressed at my 1st month service.
I noticed on pg. 21 of the manual that there are settings to set and cancel the door-locking/unlocking functions. These functions are also mentioned in the 'Personalized Preferences' section, so there is overlap here (on paper anyways).
Anyways I tried a couple of times to follow the instructions on pg. 21 to disable the door locking and unlocking when the car is placed in Park and Neutral.
It didn't work for me. The instructions aren't all that clear to me, nor of what they are supposed to accomplish. I'd like to not have the doors lock when I place the shift out of Park and not have the doors unlock when I place the shift into Park.
I have a 2007 LS460 and one issue I have, which could be costly unless I'm paying attention, is the cruise control does not perform automatic downshifting like my Honda does. In fact, my speed can increase by about 10-15mph going downhill, which a couple of times I've been lucky to realize my speed is increasing and downshifted manually and sure enough there was a speed trap. I really don't like driving by luck, if you know what I mean.
Is there something that is causing this? I do not recall that it has ever worked correctly...
The little green light on my Parking brake button does not illuminate when i push the button to let me know if its on and I am also getting a message on my dash saying Check Parking brake system and have vehicle checked by a dealer. What my problem could be before I take the vehicle to a dealer? Apparently the automatic parking brake is not working at all and the little green light doesnt light up when the button is pressed. View 6 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition. I have yet to figure out how to turn on the just the parking lights. Is this even possible? This is my first VW and my first foreign car .. so I'm not used to all the "quirks" yet. SO far I really LOVE my car though.

I called the dealer later, and was told the rabbit does not have "parking lights". What should I use when I want to pull off the roadway briefly, etc. and why did they not put parking lights on this car? Is this a new trend?

checked fuses okay has internal relay in IP Junction blocked checked power at Pin 7 and 8 RH and L/H Trail Lamp ASSY with Switch off voltage at 12V internal Failure in IP Junction Block. Recommend to replace.
I recently bought a 07 Expedition with light left front damage. After the repair I noticed that I'm not getting any power to the rear turn/brake, and backup lamps.The tail lamps and third break light work as does the trailer plug. I know that they were working prior to repairing the front. I did disconnect an aftermarket alarm during the repair. Basically all I replace was L/F sheet metal. Of cause I checked the obvious things like fuses and current to the tail light sockets.

My parking lights do not turn off when the car is shut off and lights are either manually turned off or if the auto function is used. I understand that it is the drivers side fuse box that has a relay built into it that controls the on/off function of the parking lights. I do not see anywhere that I can buy the fuse box. The local dealer wants me to pay for diagnostics before going any further.
View 1 RepliesThe map lights in my 2011 Santa Fe GLS are supposed to come on whenever the door is opened or unlocked, and up until recently they did just that. But now they don't.
There is a button next to one of the map lights labeled "door" that controls this function, but I've pushed that on and off to no avail.
I can turn the map lights on manually, so the bulbs are fine. And the dome light (further back in the car) still does come on when the door is opened or unlocked. Just not the map lights.
