Driving down the road today listening to radio in my 2007 LS460. The sound suddenly stopped and just a repeating loud clicking sound is heard. No radio, CD, or Handsfree sound, just annoying clicking even when audio is off. Turned off car and restarted. Same clicking. Disconnecting amp in trunk only way to stop clicking noise.
View 14 RepliesIn my 2007 LS460 (Mark Levinson) the audio sounds are gone including button clicking sound, bluetooth, etc. Can I say that my amp was really busted? And for sure the brand new amp is very expensive so thinking to replace with the used amp if it was really busted.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 LS460 AWD with 42k miles and notice when I am making a medium to wide angle turn at parking lot speeds the front wheels make an intermittent metallic clicking/ticking noise that can be clearly heard when the windows are down and stereo is off. The noise can be heard when turning in either direction, driving forward or in reverse, and both accelerating and slowing down. Doesn't seem to happen when I'm turning the steering wheel while the car is stationary. Dealer suspects noise is due to dry contact areas between pads, calipers, and anti rattle springs and wants to perform a brake service for $330 before they're willing to investigate further (car still under warranty till end of the year). If noise is brake-related shouldn't it only occur when I'm applying the brakes? What should I do?
View 7 RepliesThe sound system in my 2008 LS 460 suddenly stopped and a loud thumping noise comes up in all speakers even if the radio is turned off. There is no music at all only that loud noise. Bluetooth does not work as well as command voice and the GPS guiding system. I had to remove the fuse to stop the thumping sound. To answer my telephone I must pull on the side of the road and turn off the motor. Car dealership said that it is the first time they see that. The car is scheduled to be looked at in a couple of days.

I assume they are LED and it is much more complex than replacing a couple of burned out bulbs, but is this a DIY type thing or do I need to send off to United Radio or similar? See pics.
View 4 RepliesI've been trying to get my dealer to take a look at my noisy engine. The loud clicking sound is getting really annoying. When at idle sitting at a red light, my car would click like my old - 1987 Toyota beater..
I brought it in 2 times to have the dealer check it out, but they would said its "normal" and that the high pressure injectors and fuel pump are loud on our 3GS.
So i was wondering to try using heat wrap to try to reduce the noise from the fuel pump. It seems like the fuel pump is making the most noise.
Have an '07 ES350 non-ML audio system with navi. When out to the car today and found out the radio turned on when the car started but most of the audio control buttons on the center console no longer work. They worked fine the previous day. Here is a brief list of what does and does not work.
Power/volume : pushing it in to turn the radio on/off no longer work but rotating it does increase/decrease the volume
Tune/file : works fine
All other audio control buttons on the center dash for cd/am/fm/track control no longer work.
Sound from the speakers is fine.
The mode selector on the wheel works fine.
Navigation works fine.
As it is now, I am unable to turn the radio off since the power only responds to volume control. I am able to switch between radio and cd using the mode button on the wheel and the sound is fine. Could this be a fuse issue perhaps?
Have a 2007 Avalon, original owner. For past 3 winters, when temp is 10F or less, there is a loud clicking sound when the car turns left from a stop. The frequency of the clicking sound increases as the car accelerates. Once the car makes the turn, the sound stops. In extremely cold weather (0F or less) the noise happens when turning right, but less intense. The clicking usually goes away after driving several miles and will return after sitting outside overnight or for 4 or 5 hours if the temp is below 10F. Dealer claims all of the CV joints are good. I drove it with a tech this morning and it was clearly present.
View 6 RepliesI was listening to my MP3 CD as usual then suddenly I lost all audio and all I can hear is a pulsating screech "screech... screech... screech... screech..." I lost volume control. Even if I turned off audio it still screeches. Do I have a blown out amp/speaker?
View 3 RepliesI recently purchased a beautiful 07 LS460 with 24K miles about 3 weeks ago.
About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a loud clicking / hammer noise from the dashboard lasting about 15- 20 seconds and after reviewing numerous threads here, I realized it could be my blender door / damper due to the infamous cabin air filter change. .
It must be noted that the Dealer did not change the cabin air filter and when I looked inside my glove box, I could easily open / close the blender door using the recirc ac button. Additionally, my cooling and fan is working fine as well, so I am not too sure that this is a blender door issue.
My question is that the noise continues to happen for about 20 seconds when the car is started and shut off. Since my blender door / damper opens and closes smoothly, is the servo motor going bad or servo sub assembly?
If it is my servo motor, could it be possible that it was damaged when the cabin filter was replaced? With the car only bearing 24K miles, I cant believe my servo motor has already gone bad!
I took my 2009 Santa Fe Limited to my dealer this morning to have them take a look at a click / pop sound that I was occasionally hearing from the front. They inspected everything and did not find any issue and could not replicate. No problem...they did not charge me for the inspection. Great.
So I'm driving home and while making a left turn, all of a sudden my Santa Fe stalls without any warning in the middle of the turn! No audible warning what so ever...just a dead pedal, stiff steering wheel and little braking power. The electrical seemed to be fully working, as my radio and instrument panel was working.
When I had drifted to a stop, I checked my instrument panel and I saw the following indicators:
Immobilizer warning light
Check engine malfunction indicator light
Low oil pressure warning light
Charging system warning light
So I immediately call back my dealership and they ask if I'm able to start the car back up and drive back to the dealership. I start the car back up without issue and drive back.
They bring the car into the bay and hook it up to run diagnostics. The results show no errors??? No codes were thrown??? I have a copy of the report. I don't understand how nothing was captured?
CM series 2009 Santa Fe? 108,000 kilometers. I'm really concerned that this happened without any warning and no digital record or log from the diagnostic. What if I did get into an accident because of this stall and had no way to prove that it was not my fault?.
I started having an issue with my lexus ls460 2007, the radio works good, but sometimes the sound doesn't come out, in other words even on max volume I can hear almost anything, a clicking sound comes out with this problem, the thing is (hands free) works perfect, navi guidance works amazing, except all radio sounds including AUX gives out lil sound which I can't hear.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2008 Prius.. All has been great except for the radio lately. In the last few weeks the radio will all of a sudden go into an uncontrollable loud static blast. I have to turn off the power to the radio in order to stop it. It continues as long as the car is running. Once turned off the radio is fine until the blast happens again. I have replaced the radio on warranty, but it still has the problem. I also have an external XM Radio attached, but I don't think that's the problem...
View 7 RepliesI always thought the clicking sound I was hearing in the morning was coming from the engine. Then I realized the sound doesn't start until the car is in gear, either reverse or drive. After a few minutes it will go away but until it does, it is a noticeable sound. I still have a warranty. I am wondering what this could be.

Within last couple days I noticed a clicking sound when reversing and accelerating forward slowly.
This occurs most of the time when accelerating while wheel is turning (like after you back out of driveway and slowly turn straight to pull away)
I've also noticed the click when pulling into garage and braking.
I'm new to the Lexus family. I recently bought a 2007 rx 350. It's in wonderful condition. I noticed that when I go above 60ish, I hear what sounds like a draft or a static-like sound. I've turned the radio off, air off, turned on re-circulated air, made sure all the windows are up, but no matter what I still hear it. I had a small Honda Civic before so I don't know if it's getting used to the aerodynamics of an suv? It almost sounds like there's a "crack" that's allowing air to come through the but there isn't. I don't notice it at all when I'm driving around town, only really on the interstate. It's most noticeable when in the drivers seat. I wasn't sure if it's just the nature of the ventilation system of this vehicle or should I have it checked? Am I just over analyzing?

A $3000plus fix that is not in the budget nor will it ever be!..After doing some research trying to figure out what the actuator does i stumble across this Lexus technician PDF ...
..It clearly states on page 2 that "If a Toyota ABS system malfuctions, normal braking will not be affected!...My worry has never been the sound it makes,.. but that of me not being able to brake when needed!!...

I just got a used low-milage 2013 LS460, and noticed that every time I tap the break pedal I hear a "clicking" sound coming from under the dash or hood. This seems to happen every time I touch or press on the brakes, at seemingly any speed. It sounds almost like an actuator of some kind... perhaps like the type which allows the transmission to shift out of park. Is this normal, or an indication of a an issue?

My climate controls no longer will respond. the Auto button is lit up but I can't turn the air off. I get hot air from the vents. When the clicking does stop the system goes back to working order. My friend checked it out and says the clicking is from the blend door motor.

I have applied brake grease (green) to the pad shim.
I have replaced the spring sets on each front caliper.

I was on my way home from work when my speakers suddenly stopped working. I tried changing stations and switching to CDs, but sound still refused to play. My head unit works perfectly fine. Every 5 minutes or so if the radio is left on, sound will come from the speakers on the right side of the car, but only for roughly 5 seconds before the sound disappears again. When this happens, the volume knob does not work and the sound cannot be turned down.
I have checked all three fuse boxes and nothing seems to be wrong. I have also checked behind the head unit and there are no problems as far as wiring is concerned. Is it possible that my amp just needs replaced, or is there something else that could have gone wrong?
