I have been seeing and hearing conflicting information about alignments for cars lowered with air suspension. I was told there is nothing that can be done to adjust camber for tire wear on the cars with stock air. However, I have seen online that it can be adjusted with a smaller drop on the air. What is true and what isn't?

My 2007, is out a little, with the RHS top edge raised around an 1/8th more than the left which is flush.
Is this a dealer only fix, or is it something that I can do?
My front driver's side Bridgestone Turanza EL400 (225/40R18) has premature wear such that the steel belt is beginning to show through the center of the tread. The front passenger side tire has no such wear and the alignment is good.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2004 Camry and I got an alignment at Firestone they rep told me that my rear left camber alignment is off, my right camber alignment is is within range.
Actual :-2.3 Range -2.0.-0.5
He recommended I change my struts as Toyota does not specify rear camber adjustment. Is this normal on car with 160k on it ?. I have seen several chamber kits out there should I just get one and go somewhere else for them to realign it with the kit ?
I am getting some coilovers soon, but noticed a lot of people having camber issues when slammed, I am not looking to be on the ground, just wanna get rid of wheel gap. My goal is to have 1 finger between the tire and wheelwell. Is this doable without issues?
View 8 RepliesI have a 2006 GX470. It has some sort of automatic rear suspension height adjustment. When it is malfunctioning the rear of the car is jacked up like I have pimped it out. I use the height adjustment button but when I resume driving the car moves back into the neutral position which is not neutral at all it is jacked to the top. I had the sensors replaced once for $1,000 but within a year it was doing the same thing.
Now the light flashes to lower the back end but the back end doesn't move. I am stuck in the jacked up mode.
I recently traded in my old 95 ES 300 for a 2013 ES 300H. I prefer the ride quality of the older model. I realize that many people prefer the new ride quality, but I don't. I have Michelin tires, and I have reduced the pressure to about 29 PSI, which worked, but I'd like to soften the ride more. Is it possible to adjust the suspension or shocks to make the ride softer?
View 10 RepliesLike the title says... Do any lowered mkvi's have any noises or popping sounds coming from your car's front suspension? The reason I ask is on my MKV R32 I had H&R springs on stock shocks and at low speed full lock turns I had a slight poping noise. Everything on the R was installed right and it only had ~3-4k miles on it when the springs were installed. After doing research it seemed like a fair amount of lowered MKV's had this noise and it was thought to have something to do with the strut bearing.
View 8 RepliesDoor on the T-reg that is hard to get latched completely? I'm finding a need to reopen/slam the driver's door on a regular basis. Is this something the dealer can "adjust" for me? What would it involve? I don't think the other three doors need to be slammed anywhere near as hard.

Also I just made an appointment with mechanic, and he said on the phone that for car like that you can not do alignment with negative camber. He said that likely I have bad bearing or shock, or something else. I hope he is wrong..
I just put in a new headlight for my 08 600hl. My issue is the head light is pointed downwards. Is there a thread that shows how to adjust the headlight.

View 4 RepliesI have a weird problem with my alignment. I have had this car about a year and in April put my summer wheels on. I have a staggered set of rohana's 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 in the back. When I took the factory tires off I could see inner tire wear. I figured just needed new tires cause I don't feel any pulling or known alignment issues.
After a few months I started getting a little wobble in my wheel and more road noise on the summer wheels. When I finally got it looked at just the passenger rear tire had inner wear. I took it to get aligned and the alignment shop said this thing is really good it was all in the green. They did do a little adjustment but nothing major. Showed me the print out and everything. My car is not lowered at all. I've attached pictures......
Perhaps a strange question, but is there any way the pedal height can be decreased. On my 2010 LS 460 it seems to be higher than on my previous 2005 LS 430 to the extent that I lift my foot off the accelerator pedal and miss the top of the brake pedal. It's happened often enough that I've been wondering if it could be reduced an inch or so.
View 1 RepliesI have 2015 Rc350 F, with 13k miles on it and my right Front Camber Ball Joint is leaking greasy oil. Do I need to replace this or can this be covered under warranty? I have lowered springs on which I don't think has affected the camber ball.
View 4 RepliesI'm lowered about 1 inch in the front and when I drive at night its tough to see about 15-20 feet past my car. Its very bright in that range but past 20 feet it is very dark if there are no street lights. Any manual way to adjust the headlights?
View 6 Replies1981 f100 2wd 4.9 L6 c6 9" rear w/ front discs and rear drums. went through and fixed all leaks after I got it running. Then I got to steering and suspension. Replaced all tie rods. only thing i reused were adjusting sleeves. Taped off thread protrusion on oem steering parts so i could measure and get the new rod ends in the ballpark. Did a simple shadetree toe adjustment so i could drive it to get it aligned. I should mention i already replaced front rotors and bearings as well. Mic'd the spindles so they're in spec.
I am however running used tires but they balanced out pretty well. all torque application was strictly adhered to by the maintenance manual. made sure tire pressures were up to snuff and greased everything that could be lubed to include kingpins. the kingpins are the only thing i have not rebuilt....but i did check the radial and axial play....nothing out of spec. So I took the truck in for alignment. picked it up and it pulls to the right just as bad as it did when i drove it to the shop. the tech tried to tell me it was just a bad tire and that i needed a new one....of course i knew that was wrong.
Swapped tires from side to side, and magically the truck still pulled to the right. So I've narrowed it down to either the steering box maybe, or just a shade tree alignment tech that doesn't know his fourth point of contact from his elbow. It does not have a steering stabilizer installed, but i would think that shouldn't matter?
Seems like I read something on this site about being able to adjust the air suspension software. I'd like to see if I could reduce the body lean a bit more than the current "sport mode".
View 2 RepliesI have a 1997 ford f250 heavy duty with the 7.3 diesel. i went to adjust the ebrake the other day and found no adjustment point. Every vehicle I have ever owned had a adjustment point but no where on this one? I am thinking of cutting the cable under the rig make 2 loops with cable ferrules on each ends of the cut and put one of those tighteners you would put on a barb wire fence just smaller...
