My 2007 LS 460 has begun not starting the A/C when the engine is started. Most times it will work by repeatedly pressing the Auto button and pressing the recycle button-but not always. After the engine is turned off I can hear what sound like a servo motor trying to close a door.

View 2 RepliesI know that if you hit the engine button without the brake pedal pressed when you get in the car you can turn on electronics (radio, navigation etc) without turning on the engine. I want to know if it's possible to go from the engine being on directly to electronics on mode without turning the car off and then turning them on.
View 4 RepliesTonight I noticed that the DRL LEDs stayed continuously on after turning off the engine and locking the car. Usually, they are off when I shut down the car then turn back on a few secs later for 1 or 2 seconds then are off for good. I tried restarting then shutting down the car several but to no avail so I ended up removing the fuse that's on the positive cable to turn then off tonight.

View 6 RepliesI got the lights retrofitted last week. All from TRS. Now comes the AFS. The mods to the projector were only Clear Lens. My installer said there is only one switch for the AFS, which he showed me.
The first time we installed it, The moment you started the car, the AFS check came on. Lights Adjust the way they are suppose to on Start, But the left light swiveled to the right and then both dropped down. We opened the light again and checked the connector was tight inside the light. Second time around, It does not display the AFS on start. But I took it around the block. As soon as you turn to the left, The lights will swivel to the left, but right after they come back, I get the AFS light, and both projectors go right down. I am able to shut off AFS during start up as there is no issues until I actually approach a turn. The right side is good, no error codes from there. However when hooked up with OBD, it gives me a B2412, which translates to left swivel motor. I will be going back and what my installer suggested is we directly wire the connector inside the light, see if it works out.
That light is ridiculously annoying, flashing every second.

Every once in a while I hear a sound coming out of the motor compartment right after the car starts.
The sound is similar to the sound of a fan hitting the fan shroud in older model cars. It happens just for a second but it bothers me.
2007 ES350....
Lights are set to automatic.
Turn off the car.
Exit the car.
Receive email from coworker that my lights are on.
This has now happened twice in the past month.
I currently have a 07 LS460. I've been rather happy with my car, until now. Over the last month I've developed a popping noise when turning left and braking. I took the car to my local import specialist, there it was determined that my lower ball joints were going bad. After a few day of looking and calling around...I can't find them! Lexus says I have to replace both steering knuckles because the ball joints are pressed in! I refuse to believe this! Is there anywhere I can just buy the lower ball joints without the knuckle?

The Check engine light and check VSC light came on then it went off. I can also tell it doesn't have the same pick up when I hit the gas. So is it time to for new plugs and coils?
View 6 RepliesMy LS460 L (2008) is having startup problems. I press the startup button but doesn't always start and sometimes it takes three attempts to get started. I took it to the dealer in Saudi (ALJ) and they changed the battery and did a full check but couldn't figure the problem. The problem is intermittent.

When I started my car this morning, I noticed a warning light I've never seen. I looked it up and it doesn't even show it anywhere. My car is driving just fine. I'm calling the dealership shortly.
View 4 RepliesI have a 07 gs350 monday morning i woke up to go to work and the car started then shut right off i tried a second attempt and it cranked but died out i tried again and instead of turning on the radiator fan turns on high. I disconnect the battery after and plugged it back in to start and it still wont start only the radiator fan turns on high there also also s check vsc light on after all this no check engine light. My battery is brand new too...

View 2 RepliesMy 2010 LS 460 had the Control Arms replaced at 45,196 miles. Now, I am hearing a clicking sound at low speeds when I am turning in either direction. I can hear it with the windows rolled up and the radio on, it is fairly pronounced. The vehicle now has 51,350 miles on it. What this could be?

About every 3 starts or so, it takes my car 3 seconds are so of turning over before the car actually starts. So, 2 out of 3 starts are perfect.
I recently replace my stock batter for the first time (43,000) miles after my car battery died after being parked for only two hours... i thought this might solve the problem, but it hasn't.
Why it is taking my car so long to turn over every couple of starts?
Shouldn't the puddle lights turn on when approaching the vehicle with the key fob? They will only come on if i unlock the vehicle with the fob. My lights come on with my 2008 ES350.
View 7 RepliesThe footwell lights come on when i open the door to get into the car and then go off after a short period of time. However, they will stay on all the time after the car is started. Is that normal? Can they be turned off when the engine is running? The manual is no support.
View 5 RepliesThe rear suspension on my 2013 F Sport AWD with 27,000 miles has started to squeak slightly. It doesn't do it all the time but is audible from within the car even with the stereo at low volume. When the road is smooth it's quiet but it'll squeak on even slightly uneven pavement.
Of course the F Sport has air suspension. I haven't experimented with the different ride settings or height adjustment yet but it is audible in Normal mode.
I have an 09 ES 350 that I decided to put some very nice subwoofers and amp in. When I found out that I needed more power, I took out my spare tire and mounted a second battery in where the tire is supposed to go.
We'll sure enough when I drove the car later the TPMS light came on and started flashing. The system has to be able to read all 5 TPMS sensors. 4 tires and the spare. So when I took the spare tire out, the system thought there was something wrong with that sensor and turned the light on.
So what I did was I took a piece of PVC pipe and 2 PVC caps, drilled a hole in one of the caps, inserted a new TPMS sensor into the cap, then glued everything together.
After it dried I pressurized it to 35 psi, mounted it in my trunk next to the jack, and reset the TPMS system so the light would go off. Now the TPMS system thinks the spare tire is back and there are no more problems.
