View 1 RepliesMy rear speaker sounds horrible , rattle rattle.
View 1 RepliesI have 109,000 miles on my 2007 es350, bought in May 2006.
This weekend, I drove 2 hours, stopped for a few minutes, then when I started the car there was no sound from speakers. Just 2 tapping noises from right rear speaker. Turning the radio off, then on I only heard the 2 pop sounds.
I left the radio on even though no sound. Monday night, starting the car for the 3rd time that day, the speakers worked. The next morning the speakers did not work. Now I just hear the 2 tapping noises, when the car is started or radio turned off/on, then nothing.
This happened twice before, once last year and once 4 weeks ago. Both times, the speakers started working the next day.
I have a 2000 VW Passat... I have had the car for a few months and have noticed there is no sound at all coming from the rear speakers; HOWEVER, there is a little sound produced from the rear tweeters when I fade my aftermarket Pioneer deck all the way back to the rear. This problem is consistent on both the left and right.
I have looked a little and found it could be the wiring in the door hinge? But wouldn't that also relinquish power to the tweeters?
This is the third time I am having this issue, previously once it was close to service so dealer just added the oil and few months ago it happened again and I did the 1200 mile test where the dealer measures the burn rate, nothing came out of that. Finally I had it last few days, it was flashing intermittently and I took it to the dealer and they added 2.7 quarts of oil and while I have 2500 more miles to go for the scheduled service. Looks like my engine is burning oil. I don't have any visible leakages as my garage is clean. I will update after my second 1200 mile test. However I suspect nothing will come out it as I have few long drives planned and 1200 milestone will come up fast. I am having this issue if the time between the oil changes is more than 3 or 4 months. My car is 2007 LS 460L.
View 7 RepliesMy trunk won't open from the inside or with the key fob? The only way to open the trunk is by detaching the key and using it manually. What gives....
View 3 RepliesSitting in parking lot listening to ipod thru aux port opened door to access door pocket and sound system went nuts. I now have a high pitch noise coming through all speakers on all settings even with audio off.
View 8 RepliesI just took delivery about 2 weeks ago of a 2011 LS 460L AWD with less than 30k miles. I have a very annoying issue that happens every time I let off the accelerator. There is a consistent vibration that seems to be coming from the drive train. It's really annoying to me. This occurs when driving about 50 mph or greater, nothing when driving at slower speeds. There is a 30 day exchange policy where I bought the car from, hope I don't need to use it.
View 14 RepliesJust picked up an 08 460L with navigation and was looking to sync my Motorola Droid X. I have successfully paired the phone for voice communications using the instructions in the manual but when I go to transfer my phone book the car just says transferring. I left this for about 10 minutes and no numbers moved. The phone says Paired for audio is this would be my guess as to why this isnt working. Any tips to get my numbers imported?
View 14 RepliesI sold my OEM navi a while back and never really drove the car enough to care I didn't have a radio. So this weekend I picked one up. Its a kenwood unit single din. The problem is that there's no sound coming out of the speakers, and i know everything is hooked up right and the headunit is playing because I was able to hook up and external speaker to play sound from the back side of the adapter. They worked all before and nothing has been changed or anything they are all OEM speakers.
View 4 RepliesI start my truck up today and there is no sound from either door speakers. No crackle, hum, or nothing. Tweeters work great, extended cab speakers work fine. I read in another forum that it could be due to rain. It did rain all night. How can I protect future speakers?
I have 2007 Extended cab z71.
2007 3.5L xle... I have the JBL stereo ( no gps ), and the lcd screen works, I can change from am, fm, aux, cd.. BUT I have no sound coming from the speakers. Every function on the stereo itself works, BUT I have two knobs at the top of the stereo ( one on the left, volume/power ) & the right side ( bass, treble, balance and fade ) .
Left knob push to power on and off = works
Left knob volume control = no and does not display volume level on lcd screen either
Right knob = nothing works
I've had my B6 eastate a week now, and when messing with the stereo setting the bass n treb, i noticed there`s no fade control from front to rear. Ive just sat in the back and there`s no sound at all from the door speakers.... is this normal..??? (19 Tdi) Find it hard to believe on a car like this they would only conect the front....
View 2 RepliesTurned car off yesterday for 2 minutes when I started it back up no volume coming from the radio. Everything seems to be working just fine except I can't hear a thing. Tried Factory Reset didn't work also pulled the audio1 and audio2 fuses and that didn't work either.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2004 Chevy trailblazer. I got in to got o the store the other day and realized that my rear door speakers were not working. I checked fuses and none were blown. I have a line out splitter attached to the rear speaker wires behind the stock radio for my subs. My subs are still pumping, so that tells me that the radio is putting out signal to those rear speaker wires, but still nothing from each of the rear doors. I am curious if there is a simpler way to fix this aside from taking the rear doors apart to check the speakers. is it possible the radio is shot? what are the chances that both door speakers blew at the same time?
View 4 RepliesMy 6x9 was blown and it made all my mid and low speakers cut off so I bought some aftermarket speakers and boom all my speakers cut back on except the subwoofer. Now I have a question do this mean I have a bad amp or sub or is it like a safety feature on the amp. I need to get around I have a 2007 LS460L with the mark lev system.
View 3 RepliesMy mother owns 2011 Rx350. She bought it used few month ago. Car's great for what it is and makes me feel relieved to think my mother's driving a car that is quite safe and reliable.
That being said, the car's audio have created some problem recently. How it happened other than my mother's assumption that her water spill at the trunk may have caused the problem. She don't know how much water was spilled and not even sure if that is exact reason. (It's about that time frame that audio started having problem, hence the assumption)
So, the problem is that the sound only comes out from the front speakers. I am not sure how many speaker there are at the front, but it is as if fader is set to front all the way. If I move the fader to rear, it kills the sound from the front and since there is no sound at the rear, it just dies out as soon as fader moves all the way to the rear. So with the fader and balance at the center, sound is only at the front and plus there is no bass sound also, assuming subwoofer (if any) is at the back and not working also.
My mother claims that it comes back to normal sometimes but I am not sure how often that is since I do not drive that car too often and I just found out the problem today.
I have an intermittent sound coming from my engine. It shows up out of nowhere and could last 20 seconds to 2 minutes. Because it's intermittent, I can't seem to pinpoint where it's coming from. Sound file is attached.
It's a 2008 with 79K miles.
I just bought a 2007 LS460L. 've noticed a squeaky sound coming from the wheels at about 10-20 MPH but then it goes away. I bought this car from Land Rover Cerritos so i can't imagine that they sold me a car with worn brakes.
View 3 RepliesI noticed that the door speakers in my car only put out low frequencies. Most of the mids and highs come from the dash. Is something wrong with my system or is this the way it should work.
It's the same, surround or not. System sounds good, but when sitting in the back it is noticeably lower than the front.
2013 GX paired with iPhone 5s via bluetooth. This has worked flawlessly for a long time but now it is acting up. When I make a call from the car with speed dials, call history or contacts, I do not hear the "ringing sound" from the car speakers. I just see "calling" and then "talking" when it is answered. I checked volume on both phone and touch screen, made sure my phone was not on mute, disconnected and paired my phone again, all to no avail. The crazy thing is sometimes it works normally, and sometimes just silence.
Once the phone call is answered I can talk normally, etc. just no ringing. Yesterday, I used the redial to call "Time" about 7-8 times and it worked correctly 3 times and the others it did not. The thing Is, this necessitates looking down at the touch screen while driving to see whether it is dialing and when the call is being answered. When someone calls me it rings normally. I am under warranty but my dealer is quite a drive away and since it does this intermittently I am sure when I took it in it would be in a "normal" phase.
My iPhone 4s shifts from car (Lexus 350RX 2012) speaker to phone speaker and back constantly when I'm on a call. I have erased the pairing between the phone and the car and repaired it, I have also reset the phone to no avail. Lexus says my car firmware is up to date. It has to do with Bluetooth AVRCP 1.4 compatibility.
