I have driven two Lexus IS 250's with the standard 17" wheels. I am considering trading up to the 2014 model, which appears to often come with 18" wheels on the AWD model (which is what I am looking for).
What differences can I expect on the 18" wheels vs. what the 17" gives now?
Just wondering if there is any difference between the RX350 and RX450h wheels. Given that the RX450h is a hybrid, the wheels should be lighter for better fuel performance.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2014 Camry LE with 16 inch steelies, and have found a set of 2013 Avalon 17 inch wheels/tires on CL. Have a few questions :
1) Will the Avalon 17 inch wheels fit my camry?
2) Can the current lug nuts be reused, or do I need to get new lugs?
3) Can the current TPMS sensors be transferred to the Avalon set
If I want the luxury package then I'd have to go with18 inch wheels. I can do without that package but was curious about the different handling characteristics? I'm concerned about mpg and handling.

The rotors are the same size as the IS350 which comes with 17-inch, but the calipers are different, just curious if it's ever been done. I know most people go up in size, but maybe someone has done it for winter tires or something.

Do you reckon it'll clear.. I'm guessing it'll be okay, how about caliper clearance?

View 15 RepliesYesterday went to fill up and the push feature on the fuel door would not open it. The door would pop out about 1/4 inch and would not release open even with a forceful tug. Played with it for some time pushing and couldn't get it to release. I actually left the gas station with no fuel. when I got home it worked fine so back to the gas station. Never had this Issue before and I go through fuel like its my job.

View 1 RepliesWhat is the maximum safe tire pressure with 19" wheels? I don't mean cold pressure. I mean maximum pressure. My rears showed 50psi on the TPMS after 20 min of driving. When I got home and measured them, they were 50.5/50psi. It's been roughly 110 degrees over the past week. It is impossible to get a true cold tire reading because it doesn't go below 85 degrees these days. So... am I well inside a safe zone at 50?
View 15 RepliesHave a 2008 F-350 crew cab 4x4 lariat with 20" wheels on it. Tire size is very limited/expensive. Can I replace the 20" wheels with 18" or 17"? I was told it depends on the size of the brakes. How do I check that, short of buying "test" wheels? I am old school and would rather have more tire and less rim, than the other way around.
View 14 RepliesWho has installed 3" blocks in the rear. I've been working out of town for a few months and have scraped up a little extra money. With that said, I would like to add a leveling kit and rear blocks to my truck when I get home. I'm aware that adding blocks will increase axle wrap when accelerating hard, but I rarely tow and really don't beat on my truck that often.
View 14 RepliesMy battery got too low and messed up my passenger window after charged. The issue now is...the strangest issue I've seen.. The passenger window! If I push the down button where it will automatically go down it just goes down and stops about an inch from hitting the bottom, If I push the up button to automatically go up BUT it will automatically goes down by itself when it hit the top and stop about an inch from bottom..
If I push the button soft to go up slowly and then let go the button when it reach the top it will stay.. Like I said it will not go down all the way, stop about an inch from bottom.
Trying to lower the seat or seat rails in an SC430. I would like to get the seats down about an inch. Can the seats be taken out and distance between the bottle of the rail and the seat shortened somehow.
