Having issues with their navigation screen in the '14 IS. Twice now in the last week, while driving, it has reset. The screen goes black, music/radio turns off, and then everything comes back up after a second or two like nothing happened. Also, probably just a coincidence, but both times it happened in roughly the same location on my drive to work.
View 14 RepliesSo I took my truck in for a couple issues, they said it took them 10 tries to reload the firmware but it was finally successful. Apparently Not!
The navi is now worse than before. Before it would just randomly black screen ---> come back to frozen map ---> audio resumes ---> legal notice displays ---->back to real-time GPS on correct course.
Now it does all that, but resumes on the wrong course! I mean it shows me somewhere 1 or 2 miles off in some random direction.
Maybe they ran out of real Lexus units when they were building mine and installed some cheap no-name knock-off they ordered from K-Mart?
I wonder what the next steps are? I'd hate for them to have to tear into the dash and replace the whole thing. But this is unacceptable. Not super-impressed with Lexus' legendary quality so far.
Alright, I can use all of the manual functions fine which includes climate, radio, audio etc... but the touchscreen system is not working. It seems to somehow be disabled or malfunctioning.
What can I do to fix the problem without having to buy a whole new system!! (costs too much!!).
I am thinking that a fuse may be bad but which fuses go to the navigation touch screen.
Its about 100 times worse and more annoying in person...this is after felting areas around the navi screen and around the windshield area. Are yours this bad? [URL] .....
View 8 RepliesI had my radio swapped by the dealer last night due to an issue with the navigation screen restarting while driving an randomly blinking / flashing blue or white. However today the blinking / flashing came back just minutes after picking the car up from the dealer and again this morning while driving to work.
Just out of curiosity is the radio different in a Mark Levinson car or is it only the speakers, sub etc. that distinguishes the sound?
Is there any way to keep the radio screen up instead of it automatically switching to the nav screen after a few mins?
I've tried (i think) every option in the settings menu and i looked in the owners manual, but can't find anything.
Having issues when driving the Nav Screen will like flash a blue screen for like 1 sec.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2011 Prius Four with JBL/navi package. When I go to turn the volume knob up or down the navi screen pops open as if I were going to eject or insert a cd. Only sometimes will it close back up when I press the eject/close button otherwise I have to twist the volume knob back and fourth until it randomly closes. THEN, when I set FM/AM station presets, power off the car, power car back on, the screen shows "loading" and everything resets except for the Bluetooth phone settings. Is there any firmware update I need to install via usb?

Is turning the volume knob all the way down the only way to mute? I know that the non-navi Discover Pro systems have a convenient Mute button where the Navi button normally is for the systems equipped with navigation. I feel like there would be a simple solution for such a simple task.....

And the final piece, the alarm goes off three times no lights flashing then stops sitting in a garage, not outside. Is this a short ? I have two brand new batteries, new starter new altenator.

I'm one of those people who regularly clears the call history on the phone, but there seems to be no option to do it on my Prius screen. I'm just using a Motorola flip phone that connects via blu-tooth and not a smart phone. I've read online that there is a delete call history area, but so far I haven't been able to locate that. Could be the system in my car doesn't have that?

How do I get the app tab to work? I have the enform app on my phone and have it open. I also have all my accounts linked.
View 1 RepliesThis morning I got in my car and pulled out of my driveway like normal. SAT Radio playing, everything good. After about 10 min I stopped at McDonald's to get some breakfast and turned the car off. When I come back to my car and start it, it starts normal, SAT radio playing.
After about 30 seconds the screen goes blank and the system resets itself, music stops. The screen turns back on and shows the Lexus "Welcome" screen as if I just started the car. About every 15 - 20 seconds after that it keeps doing the same thing. I tried shutting the car off and restarting it, hoping maybe it would reset the system and nothing, same issue. I had to drive to work with the screen and radio resetting itself every 15 - 20 seconds, very annoying.
Any simple fix before I have to take it to the dealer? I know all the updates and downloads available for the car and NAV system have been done so I'm not sure what could be causing this? Everything else in the car works fine and has not been affected by this, even the backup camera works fine.
I am having a problem with the stock radio resetting itself after turning off the car.
Just recently had to replace the battery which was not an issue. After the new battery was installed I set the clock, cabin temp, and radio stations. Came back to the car later, turned it on and noticed the radio was off. Hit the power button and it came on with the default stations, volume settings, etc. This happens every time the car is turned off and left for more than a few minutes. What's odd the clock and temperature controls DO keep their settings. It's only the radio that's the problem and resets back to it's defaults.
How to correct this?
According to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

Had my 2015 GTI for two months now and I've been experiencing so minor issues with my stereo. Sometimes when I start the car it will reset the radio to 87.7FM which is completely static and not an actual radio station does it completely at random. Second issue that I've had is when my Ipod is plugged in it won't allow me to change the song, either from the screen or from the steering wheel. The only way to get it to work again is pulling over and restarting the car.
View 24 RepliesI have a 2016 LX570 with 5,000 miles on the odometer. This morning the navigation screen is blank and the radio does not work. Took the truck to the dealer, they said Lexus is aware of the problem but does not have a solution. They will call me back when Lexus figures out what is wrong. No offer to give me a loner with a functional navigation unit.
