So I have been trying to figure out why when I turn off the car with the driver door opened, the car will beep continuously until I close the door again. Is it trying to tell me to remember the key? This was the case in my 2010 IS250 too... so its not something that is new.. its just now that I started wondering.

Went to go open my door as I always do, and when I touched the handle sensor it beeped several times (more than the 2 times it does to unlock), and it didn't unlock. I would use my keyfob to hit unlock, but again when I tried to pull the handle open it was locked and kept beeping.
The passenger side seemed to work. Eventually I used the physical key to unlock the driver door and it worked. Didn't happen again after I locked/unlocked. Was there an issue with the electronic locking/unlocking mechanism?
I'm fairly certain it's not a dead 12v battery. If when I shut down the car after a drive and immediately turn it back on and off again it makes the beeping noise only when the door is open. If I come back to it, the car's dead. I've done this a few times, the last time was in a parking lot and I was surrounded by cars so I had to jump it from the back.
The only fix I had figured out to avoid coming back to a dead car was to put the car in to gear, either reverse or drive and engage the throttle/roll the car maybe 10-15 feet, then back into the spot and shut it off. Is this normal and is it because I've shut it down too fast before letting it start back up?
So I have a 2003 vw passat glx and I just had a shop replace my heater core. Anyways I got the car back and now when the drivers door is open the inside light doesn't turn on. It does when the other door is open.. Also when I lock the doors via remote it doesn't horn anymore.
View 2 Repliesso whenever i unlock my car with the remote on the key, i can open the door. while the door is still open it will lock back, turning the alarm on as well. would that have anything to do with the key? or some other problem?

View 6 RepliesHave started seeing an issue on my 2012 about few months already and the dealer could not even diagnose it because it is intermittent.
Sometimes when I arm the alarm, I can hear the actuators/solenoids cycle, but there is no single beep and the driver's door invariably remains unlocked. Repeated press of the arm button on the fob would not change, i.e. vehicle remains unarmed and driver's door remains unlocked. All the other doors are unaffected.
I can cycle through by pressing unlock once or twice, then the next relocking press would work. This is worrisome if I didn't pay attention to the beep and thought the vehicle is locked while in fact it was not, this could also happen when the vehicle is at the dealership as the porter would think pressing the button would have locked the vehicle.
I have a '12 SCAB that when opening the driver door the weatherstrip on the door near the front fender, which seals against the pillar squeaks each time you open and close it. Makes the truck sound 20 years old. It appears the weatherstrip is binding on itself instead of just slipping past. I understand it gets dirty and cleaning it will work, but only for a day or so. I've checked the orientation of the weatherstrip with new trucks and its in the correct position.

The noise stops when the door is closed. It happens only with the driver's door. This a company car and I checked the others ~ 15. None behaves the same. The local official Hyundai dealer/workshop can't figure it out...

I just recently picked up 2015 IS350 and I'm not a big fan of being told what to do, especially my car telling me to put my seatbelt on. My 2011 ISF was supper easy. I have done some digging and all I have come up with is that the dealer has to do it.
View 4 RepliesMy 2012 F-150 has the back up camera, and the warning system that beeps with increasing frequency when you're backing into something.
It's worked flawlessly, however the last few times I've started and put it in reverse, it starts beeping constantly although there is absolutely nothing back there. Having been on this forum for probably 3 years, I don't recall this system ever being discussed.
So, where is the sensor located? I looked all around the obvious places, like under the rear bumper, and don't see anything. Is it part of the camera
system?
Secondly, what could make it beep when there is nothing there? Yes, the tailgate is up, and there is nothing in the hitch that might trick it. I'm thinking
dirt on a senor.
2009 XLT.. rear drivers side door is locked and closed. Master lock button, remote button and keypad all function and make the manual lock rod go up and down as it should. Both the interior and exterior door handles move freely, as if the door were properly locked, but regardless of the lock position neither will open the door.
I dismantled the door from the inside as best I could and can see all cables and rods are intact down to the actuator mechanism. Pretty sure something inside the actuator is messed up, but how do I get the door open to get at the screws needed to remove the actuator?? If I need to pry the actuator apart, what am I looking for (or more acurately, feeling around for) to release the door latch??
2011 Scab truck when driving over rough stuff drivers side door sounds like its cracked open when its not...never liked clamshell doors wished they would have went with mini doors like Dodge....
View 3 RepliesIt's strange because it doesn't happen over every bump and sometimes doesn't go off over pot holes, but switching lanes and going over the lane reflectors on the road will set it off. It happens only on the driver's door. I tried a DIY and while it doesn't happen as often as it use to, it still goes off from time to time.
Car is an 08 GS350 RWD.
Most times I try and open the drivers door I have to use the unlock switch to open it. There are times when it opens w/o having to do so.
View 15 RepliesYesterday went to fill up and the push feature on the fuel door would not open it. The door would pop out about 1/4 inch and would not release open even with a forceful tug. Played with it for some time pushing and couldn't get it to release. I actually left the gas station with no fuel. when I got home it worked fine so back to the gas station. Never had this Issue before and I go through fuel like its my job.

What do I need to fix this I am tired of leaning way over and tryind to open that door every time I turn the truck off. I have been told to spray wd-40 into the door catch are i used a whole can an it still isn't working...

A locksmith came and instead of using the tool to unlock using the unlock button, he just pulled the regular lever inside with the tool to open the door while it was locked. Since then I cannot open the driver's side door from the inside. It will open, lock and unlock fine from the outside. It is unlocked when I attempt to open it from the inside. I pull the lever and nothing happens. I have to unroll the window and open the door using the outside handle or crawl over to exit from the passenger side door.
View 4 RepliesEvery time I turn on the radio, or even change the volume, it starts to play a random song in iTunes from my Bluetooth paired iphone. Even if I stop it, and close the app in my phone, if I alter any input on the radio, it begins to play the song on it's own. I've tried to alter settings in the phone (nothing actually applies) and I can't seem to find anything other than disconnecting the phone that will stop it. I do want to have both the phone and music usable..any hints?
View 12 RepliesMy navigation door will not open, and when I turn the radio on, it looks like it is playing - but no sound comes from speakers.
From digging around here, it looks like this could be a fuse problem - but both of these at the same time? Are they the same fuse? Are the fuses I would need to replace in the passenger side or under the hood?
BTW... it was pretty comical getting to the fuse thing in the passenger foot well - I am just over 5 feet tall, so it was easier to do it head down, feet near the headrest of the seat!
